Summary: Unmissable Entertainment.
Review: Drew Barrymore is back better than ever - as Josie a news reporter who goes back to school to do a really article for the Sunday Times Newspaper who she works for. But, its not all easy, as Josie remembers her terrible high school past and it returns her - but can she be cool this time? Also starring David Arquette (Scream, Dreams With the Fishes, Scream 2) and Leelee Sobieski (Joan Of Arc, Deep Impact).

A teenage girl or boy should not miss this - its a must see!

Summary: Buy this movie and love it
Review: I waited for the DVD release of the movie since I had heard bad reviews. Less than half way through watching it I knew I'd have to go buy it the very next day. I think I've now seen "Never Been Kissed" (a safe guess...) 15 times. I absolutely love this movie! To any girl who had a hard time "surviving" high school, who opted to take the high road and dreamed of coming back and showing them all--this is it! Drew Barrymore is out-of-this-world. I relived horrible high school moments and laughed till I cried. This is a fun, clean, feel good movie. If you don't buy this you're going to kick yourself later.

Summary: What Every Kiss Should Be Like
Review: First off I want to say I strongly disagree with Dave McCoy, writer of the Amazon review for Never Been Kissed. Did you see the movie? Drew Barrymore put in a beautiful performance. And yes, I can believe her to be a "dopey, unattractive" newspaper reporter trying to relive her high school experience. If you saw Barrymore in The Wedding Singer you will agree that she played a very well poised young woman, not a "geek to the core" girl. When I first watched this movie I felt sorry for Barrymore's character, regardless that in real life she is a movie star and beautiful person. That has nothing to do with the movie. When you walk into a movie theatre you don't think about the star's status in the lime light but of what they're trying to portray and I think Barrymore played a very convincing role. Movies are made to wrap us up in the feelings and emotions of the characters so that we can relate to what the character is going through and I felt what Josie was going through. The next time you watch a movie, Dave McCoy, I suggest you leave your ideas of the star's status at home and focus on what the actor is trying to portray. I believe Barrymore portrayed Josie better than any actress in Hollywood. I mean, can you honestly see Neve Cambell or Gwyneth Paltrow in this part? No. And those of you looking for a romantic movie that makes you grab your heart and scream for joy all at the same time, buy this movie. It has everything from a forbidden love, waiting to be lit by the desires of two people, a man who sees a woman instead of a girl, waiting for some sign that the passions of his heart can be revealed and a woman, still a girl in many ways, waiting for the perfect moment when she will know that the one she yearns for is the one right infront of her, to a man just waiting for his chance to make the big leagues. It's a story of growing up and finding yourself. And the ending is wonderful. What every kiss should be like. A must see for all romance lovers.

Summary: I loved this movie!
Review: I totally disagree with the Amazon reviewer! I loved Never Been Kissed. I though Drew Barrymore was great as the part of Josie. You shouldn't hold the fact that she's a famouse movie star against her. She's a great actress. The script is clever and believable, I think, and the castiing is perfect! there isn't a bad actor in the movie, except the popular girls are a little to "cliche" but the actresses who play them are great! This is a great romantic comedy, and I think it's directed to adults as well as teens! My mom loved it and she usually hates "teen" movies!

Summary: Never Been More Pleased
Review: In Drew Barrymore's latest movie, I could not but help to find myself smiling with glee. Drew Barrymore is wonderful as the geek turned cool. I enjoyed the comedy, especially the night at the raggae club. Though at times the plot does get a bit confusing, it throws something at you to get you back into the story. If you're not a Drew Barrymore fan, watch Never Been Kissed, and you will be one.

Summary: MAJORLY...ASTOUNDINGLY...INCREDIBLY....FANTASTIC!
Review: THIS HAS GOT TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME, IF NOT THE BEST! NEVER BEEN KISSED IS SUCH A SWEET, ROMANTIC COMEDY, THAT'LL MAKE YOU WEEP AND LAUGH AT THE SAME TIME. AND I THINK DREW BARRYMORE GAVE A SUPERB PERFORMANCE AS JOSIE GELLAR, THE ONCE-TURNED GEEK IN HIGH SCHOOL. I RENTED THIS MOVIE, AND I SAW IT THREE TIMES IN LESS THAN TWENTY FOUR HOURS. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. AND OF COURSE, THE MOVIE FINISHES IN AN ENDING THAT'S NEITHER "MUSHY" NOR BORING. I GUARANTEE ANYONE WHO'S INTO THIS TYPE OF COMEDIES WILL LOVE IT! SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!

Summary: Pretty Good
Review: I don't agree with the official Amazon reviewer -- I totally buy Drew Barrymore as a geek. We only know she's not because we've seen her grow up all wild and out of control, but if she'd had a normal life.... High schoolers would have eaten her alive just like the rest of us. Have you noticed how huge her chin is?

The movie was a little cliché, a little cheesy here and there (that whole speech at the beginning before her friend says, "Girl, you are a writer!" is so cloying! Drives me nuts...) and the humor was exaggerated (the Barbies at the prom). But none of it was enough to keep me from liking it, or from identifying here and there. (The all-humiliation network? Dude, that was my high school career!)

Never Been Kissed is obviously a fluff movie, but it's a damn good one and I was consistently entertained. I think it's a sweet and worthy project of butterfly-Drew.

Summary: I Loved Never Been Kissed!
Review: I thought this movie was excellent. I loved it! It was so funny! Drew Barymore was wonderful!

Summary: A one of a kind movie!
Review: This is not just a "teenage" movie full of obscene gestures and language. This is not just a chic flick full of romantic scenes that make your cheeks hot and make you wish you had a guy as swoon worthy as the actor. This is not just a comedy that makes you laugh until your side hurts. This is not just another Drew Barrymore movie. This is a masterpiece! Whether you're young or old there is something in this movie for everyone. Although it's fairly predictable with a title like "Never Been Kissed", it still has the moments that make you cry (i.e. the prom speech, the baseball mound), moments that make you laugh (i.e. the banana/condem/penguin scene, loser on the forehead), and moments that make you lapse into one of those far off dreamy looks where all you can think about is love (i.e. the ferris wheel, and the climatic ending). You truly cannot dislike the movie or plot. Sure it may be a little far fetched, have a few lame jokes, and predictable, but there's more to it. It teaches you a lesson that everyone needs to know and that is that being cool is being yourself. I cannot think of a better movie that shares the same moral.
