Summary: WORST MOVIE EVER!
Review: I'm a big movie fan... the employees at Blockbuster know me and I go to the theaters every week if not more. Okay, so this movie looked kinda cute from the TV ads. I knew that almost all of the other people in the movie theater would just be obsessive Buffy fans (which I can assure you proudly I AM NOT) and hey, since I had nothing better to do I saw it. My friends and I were waiting for it to get good and after about 20 long, painful minutes we saw that it wasn't gonna do that for a long, long time. So we made ourselves comfortable. There were about two actually funny jokes in this movie, both by that guy who was Gellar's friend who worked in her resturant. The rest of the time we were laughing at the movie. We didn't bother to whisper, we just shouted out insults and no one minded, we were entertaining them. It was PATHETIC! A magic crab helps Gellar make food which the stupid, hot guy who makes paper airplanes eats and falls in love with her. Falls in love with the food I mean. This movie was WEIRD, the person who made it was probably on something, SERIOUSLY. I can not believe that this actually became a movie. Come on Hollywood! There are starving screenplay writers out there... this one obviously had connection with some big guys because this SUCKED (couldn't put it any better). Let the people with talent do something! I come from a family messed up by the Hollywood politics and it really hurts me to see these pathetic pieces of cr*p becoming films. Those who liked it were probably just pretending they were watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer the whole movie... It is as strange as one of the episodes. (My friend apologized after we saw it because she wanted to see it, she said she would make it up by taking us to see the foreign film Life is Beautiful)

Summary: Fun, food, and romance, need I say more?
Review: Sarah Michelle Gellar is a delight to watch in this light-hearted romance. It was a wonderful movie to watch with my two neices(both are avid Buffy fans). This is a terrific date movie, espescially for our impressionable youths. Ms. Gellar shows us all that you CAN be the sweet and well mannered girl next door and still be very much attractive(and down right sexy). It was also refreshing to see real emotions, like nervousness and uncertenty, when her character was faced with some pretty overwhelming situations. Nobody is totally self assured and in charge of their emotions all the time. I was nice to see something real for a change. Applause, Applause, Applause!

Summary: "Sarah Michelle Gellar is an outstanding young actress!"
Review: A great romantic comedy about a young chef who wishes she could be as good as her mother. Until she meets a strange little old man in the market, selling crabs. To impress a man, she makes up something called "crab napolean" & while looking for a recipe after the young man stops by her restaurant, she goes to find a recipe. She finds not a recipe, but a pair of her mother's pair of earrings. Then things start getting really weird! Is it that little crab that's making the difference? The earrings? Or is it love that's bringing them together? This is a must see!!!! Sarah Michelle Gellar is an oustanding young actress! PARENTS: Rated PG-13 for:brief adult language.

Summary: She's Got the Whole Picture on Her Back
Review: Sarah Gellar is this movie. Without her, I would wonder for what tax dodge was it even made. With her, we have a whimisical, sweet, lyrical bit of watchable fluff. It is odd; the secondary actors are all never-will-bees, the camera work is shoddy, the effects work laughable, the male lead spends the entire film in dreamland, the sets are depressing and the script has first draft written all over it. Yet there Gellar glows with enthusiasm, tenderness, wit and beauty, and that is enough.

She has great comic timing, her beats are dead spot on. A dramatic actress, her gentle tears douse my soul. When she cooks, I'm hungry. I don't know how she spent the summer but I hope she rested or made a movie worthy of her. This one certainly is not. But it is watchable.

The DVD's picture quality is soft and washed out, but I saw this movie in a good theatre and any problems with the picture can be traced back to the original camerawork. There is little in the way of supplementary material. The menus transitions are cute.

Recommendation: if you love Sarah Gellar buy this movie. If not, you will be happier elsewhere.

Summary: A Wonderful and LightHearted Film!
Review: I wanted to see this in the movies but it wasn't out for long and got bad reviews. WHY? I finally rented it yesterday and loved it! Don't know where the bad reviews came from because I (like many others on Amazon) really enjoyed this film and would rent it repeatedly. I have seen far worse films that got better reviews. Sometimes you need to go with your gut and ignore the critics! If you like a light-hearted romance with two great actors, you'll like this. Enjoy!
