Summary: Not America's Sweethearts
Review: This is a very shallow movie. Its about hollywood life and how one couple try to act and deceive the public in order for their movie to be a hit at the box office. Frankly I found Catherine Zeta-Jones annoying as the whining, self absorbing and shallow little starlet. Julia Roberts who plays Kiki, is the sister of the whining star. She lets herself be belittled by her sister and I didn't really like that. Stand up for yourself! Eddie played by John Cusack, is so scatterbrained that he belongs in therapy. He's very clueless about himself and his life. I know its just a movie, but I don't like to see anyone being manipulated and I actually like strong characters in a movie. Its amazing that this movie opened huge, considering that its plot stinks. This movie clearly shows and confirms that people in hollywood are shallow, and egoistic maniacs that will do anything to get ahead in their career. There's nothing to be admired about this silly movie or hollywood.

Summary: This was soooo Bad!
Review: After seeing the trailer for this film, I really wanted to see it. Now, after having seen it, I'm sorry I did. It isn't funny at all and both of the main characters, Gwen and Eddie, are boring and annoying. In addition to this, it's pretty unbelievable to see Julia Roberts 60 lbs. overweight, frumpy and mousy. The worst part, however, were the jokes leveled at Gwen's Spanish lover. The only thing he, or anyone else, was interested in was his sexual prowess and size. I find this stereotypical and racist. Generally, I enjoy all of the actors that were in this film, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment and I don't recommend it at all.

Summary: A LAUGH-OUT-LOUD COMEDY
Review: I'm easily amused, love silly movies that just plain entertain and this was one of the most enjoyable I've seen in a long time. Catherine Zeta-Jones proves herself as a surprisingly good comedic actress, plays the pampered, spoiled, self-indulgent movie star to a "T"... Billy Crystal & the doberman stole the show!!! Loved Alan Arkin as the double-talking therapist. A great rainy-day, feel good movie !!

Review: This was, quite possibly, the WORST movie I've ever seen. I found myself wanting to jump into the movie and push the actors to "hurry up and get to the point!" And Christopher Walken is in the movie for a scant 5 minutes, if that -- why they even put him on the label is beyond me. Don't waste your money. If you really want to see it, get it from the library.

Summary: Julia Roberts is truly America's sweetheart
Review: Let's admit it, the movie was no-brainer couch-type-on-a-rainy-day kind of film. Some would even say it's a harmless dating movie. Although it was (maybe) intended to reveal the true painful lives of Hollywood stars despite the glitz & glamour, it did not come out too successfuly in the market. & although it also dealt on a true & undying love (Julia for John), it was taken lightly though it ended pretty well --- the way cheesy Hollywood films should, anyway. In spite of these & its other flaws, the film remained lovable in its own way...why? I personally think it's because of Julia. Though she was more of like a background actor, supporting her brat superstar sister, it's her usual sweet persona that held the movie together & kept its charm. I say, Julia Roberts is trully America's sweetheart :-)

Review: This movie has some great actors/actresses including Julia Roberts, Billy Crystal, Catherine-Zeta Jones, and John Cusack. The plot is about Eddie and Gwen. They go to the press junket to promote their new movie "Time Over Time".. The movie is hilarious and the location for it is great. The funniest part in America's Sweethearts is when they show the movie at the junket. It is really unexpected. The movie is highly entertaining.

Review: Hollywood LOVES making films about Hollywood and we like to see them. Nothing will ever be in the league with ALL ABOUT EVE and this is merely a glimmer in the eye of it's shadow.
Watch For Seth Green in a grown up role.
But how can you really hate a John Cusak film?
rent it...but BUY all about eve.

Review: I did not like this movie at all. What was the point. Julia Roberts is not a good actress. John Cusack is a psycho drug addict. Billy Crystal says nothing funny. This movie is a waste of time.

Summary: Good thing Julia made Erin Brockovich first........
Review: I thought Julia was in a league of her own, but basically this movie is nothing more than a predictable yawn. I love almost all John Cusack movies as well, but again this was not up to par. In fact, Billy Crystal was really the glue that held this poorly written movie together. The plot was completely unoriginal, and while that hasn't stopped me from seeing movies before, I guess my expectations were too high considering the big names that were in the film. Out of everyone, however, it was a toss-up between Christopher Walken (a movie producer) and Hank Azaria (Catherine Z-J's lover) as to who truly made the biggest fool of himself. All of these talented actors were wasted on this film. All in all it was a disappointment...what funny parts there were got overshadowed by poor writing, predictable scenes, and utterly ridiculous attempts at comedy. Definitely not worth purchasing. Unless you're a die hard Julie or John fan and must have every movie they've ever made, save your cash and rent it. Or better yet, have someone else rent it and watch it at their house!

with juila! I never rented this movie before,so I'm glad I rented it this time,because it is great. I've been a fan of cusack since I first saw grosse point blank
and I'm hooked on him ever since. and crystal is cool too,I liked him since city slickers,and his
film 61*was great and I loved that one also! seth green who I also like was good too.
my favorite part was when he was jogging and gets hit in the
head and goes down.that was funny. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has nothing to watch.
