Summary: One Fine Movie and One Fine Soundtrack!
Review: Usually Amazon has the movies and the soundtracks seperate but for some reason they have combined the reviews for the DVD and video for One Fine Day with the movie's music soundtrack which has several reviewers confused and assuming that reviewers mistakenly reviewed the wrong thing. In my opinion Amazon should keep the soundtrack and movie reviews seperate. The movie is good, a charming romantic comedy starring George Clooney and Michelle Pheiffer who both do a great job and Mae Whitman and Alex Linz who play his daughter and her son are great too and adorable. I remember first seeing Alex Linz in a series of McDonalds commercials and thinking that he was quite good for a child actor. I recommend the movie and also the soundtrack, the music is very good!

Summary: One Fine Day
Review: My husband and I both watched "One Fine Day" and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of acting and plot. This movie had more depth than most people probably notice. There was the superficial romance, and comedy. Then the underlying story of the career chase at the expense of family.
I wasn't sure just how it would be resolved and was happy to see that in the end family won out. This is a must see in this day and age when parents of both sexes tend to put everything else before their home commitments. The consequences of power grabs was shown in a very realistic way. I know. I've seen it close up with people I know and maybe this movie would be a good gift, subtle hint, to someone you know who could use a little push to make wiser decisions of their own. Who knows, it might just be the impetus needed to save a family from the problems that happen when career trumps home life.
One of the best movies that I've seen George Clooney in, next to Perfect Storm. He can actually act. Michelle Pfeiffer brought more talent to this film than I've usually seen from her also. The best plots seem to bring out the best in actors. What a great vehicle for actors, and the improvement of family life in this day and age. It deserved a PG rating and will be part of my home collection.

Summary: BETTER THEN I REMEMBERED
Review: I remember watching this movie when it first came out on VHS and being a little disappointed with it. I was excited to find a film starring Clooney and Pfeiffer but was feeling a little let down when it was over. Having recently seen George in ER reruns, I saw this DVD on the shelf and decided to give it another shot. I'm sure glad that I did as I thoroughly enjoyed watching it today. This will make a great addition to my DVD collection as it will for yours. A nice, lighthearted romance movie that doesn't star either Hanks or Ryan. Who would have thought that could have happened?

Summary: I LOVE IT!!!
Review: As a long time Clooney fan, the kiss at the end really melted my heart. This film makes even the most skeptical believe that there is a chance for anybody to fall deeply in love. Although at times, this movie seems to be a little corny (the cell phones), all in all, it is a cute movie that lives up beyond it's anticipations. I've seen a wide variety of love stories, but none compell me to watch it over and over as this one does. There is a certain magic in this film, and the actors are just great. Michelle Pfeiffer proves to us that she hasn't lost her touch at acting, although she hasn't been acting much lately, and she definitely deserves to be on the cover of People magazine as "the most beautiful person".

Summary: Warning: I have extreme Clooney bias
Review: I've had a thing for George Clooney since the days of Facts of Life, so if you're looking for an impartial review, this ain't it. That being said, though, few people do the eternal loveable batchelor better than Clooney, and this movie definitely makes use of that.

I love this movie. The kids are cute, George is funny, New York is hectic, and Michelle Pfeiffer is adorably anal. When George takes the kids for the week, he forgets to telephone Michelle (forgive me, I never remember characters names) and let her know that they wouldn't be needing her that particular morning. This sets off a chain of events leading to their having to trade baby-sitting duties for eachother. This wouldn't be too big a problem except each is going through a career crises at the same time.

If you just like a good chick flick, you'll like this movie. If you like George and you like chick flicks, you'll buy this movie.

Summary: One Fine Soundtrack to One Fine Movie!
Review: What are all these reviews about the movie doing in the reviews about the soundtrack?? Oh well. The movie is great. Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney have the chemistry of Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan when it comes to romantic comedies. The music to the movie is also great!

Natalie Merchant performs a great, slower version of the original song "One Fine Day" which is also featured on this soundtrack. The Ad Libs' "The Boy From New York City" is just an old school, upbeat, fun song. "For The First Time" is a beautiful song performed by Kenny Loggins. "Mama Said" follows up, performed by The Shirelles, which is an also fun, upbeat, old school type song. Other great songs on this soundtrack feature "Someone Like You" by Shawn Colvin and the original version of "One Fine Day" performed by The Chiffons.

This is a great soundtrack to one of the greatest romantic/comedy movies ever made.

Summary: As crictics say... One Fine Movie!
Review: As tons of critics say the movie One Fine Day is "One Fine Movie." The setting is in New york where you always take a taxi everywhere you go. Single mom, Meline Parker (Pfeiffer) rushes because today supposeable is the biggest day of her life of being an architect with a great diagram for a new buliding. This is also an important day for a journalist Jack Taylor (Clooney) who needs to get proof and prove that he did not lie in his coloum. He shares the common thing of being a single dad.
The movie has these two parents juggleing their five year old kids for their careers that are on the line. Jack's daughter Maggie (Mae Whitman) gets to follow kittens and be spoiled. While Meline's son (Alex D. Linz) plays with little action figures at work that make her trip and destroy her diagram and keeps slobbering food on Meline's clothes.
This movie is funny and romantic. If you are a person into romantic comody's I suggest this movie. I believe you will be pleased with what you watch. I know I was. It's a movie with wonderful actors that also make a cute couple.

Summary: CLOONEY AND PFEIFFER ARE WONDERFUL TOGETHER!
Review: This a wonderful film to watch no matter what time of year it is. Melanie, Pfeiffer, is a single mom trying to juggle a time consuming job and a precocious little boy. Jack ,Clooney, is a newspaper reporter and part-time father who not only hasn't grown up but is having problems taking responsibility for is energetic daughter. Where does this lead.. Well, Melanie is suppose to pick up Maggie ,Clooney's daughter, and Jack was suppose to call Melanie to let her know that the plans were changed. Neither have ever met the other due to the fact that they only know of each other through Jack's ex-wife. The unforseen delay causes the children to be late for their school field trip. Now, they both have a busy workday ahead of them and nowhere for the children to stay. This is when the movie starts to heat up. The attraction between Melanie and Jack is apparent, but they both are weary and cynical. The movie spans 24 hours, in which both have to deal with several important issues and eventually learn that your children come first. Oh, and that love is just around the corner. This is a wonderfully fun movie, with a witty dialogue and talented cast.
