Summary: BLAH BLAH BLAH
Review: In the late 80s' there were a lot of comedies that came out, they have all now made their way to cable t.v. as a staple on TNT.
Overboard was just on today, and i watched it. I did see it back when it came out, and I thought it was a funny romantic/comedy. WEll, after viewing it in the present day, I found it to be quite dull.
Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are both good actors. I just thought the story -- her being a rich uptight brat who falls "overboard" and his poor, single dad character uses her to get back at her for not paying him for the job he did.
It's just so darn predictable. I did, however, notice one of the sons were played by kids who were in other movies. One of them was in Big, as Josh's best friend. Just a little tidbit of useless information for you.
I don't recommend this movie, it's boring.

Summary: Yuck.
Review: Couldn't give it a one star rating because of a couple of cute scenes that rescue it from the absolute bottom of the barrel... that said it's still a bad movie.

Summary: a so-so movie
Review: It is funny but it is not one of Goldie Hawns best movies. I do like it thou. And I say if you are looking for a movie to watch on a rainy day then choose this one.

Summary: Overboard...Senior English Review Paper
Review: A male chuvinistic pig collides into a rich snobby woman, where the waters of true love will be tested. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn play in a romatic comedy called Overboard.

A spoiled and bored woman calls for a carpenter to rearrange her closet while her yacht is docked in the Port at Elk Cove. Joanna, who is proper and well mannered, is absolutely disgusted by the caroenter she has hired, a poor single working father. While leaving Port the next morning, she accidently falls overboard into the cold waters of the Pacific where a fishing boat pulls her out. Joanna is diagnosed with amnesia in the local hospital of Elk Cove, where her husband who is greedy leaves her in the hospital to take her money. Out for revenge, Dean the carpenter acts as if he is Joanna's real husband and declares her as his real wife, and takes her home to do his dirty work. He gets his kids in on the act and for payback she does all the housework, cooking, cleaning etc. Over many months Joanna's memory doesn't return and she falls in love with Dean as if she truly was his real wife. Only then do things start to change. Joanna begins to regain her memory and realizes that this life she had been living for the past several months had been completely fabricated. She returns to her normal life, but feels the emptiness inside from the family she grew to love. Later Joanna realizes what she really wants and the chase of true love begins from there.

Overboard is a witty true-life comedy that relates to parents and families. This story is romantic and captures the essence of true love and how you can find it in the strangest of places. Overboard is wonderful for all ages, a story that will catch your imagination and test your emotions. It will leave you laughing and touched what love can really do.

Summary: "I need discipline"
Review: This movie is just plain fun! Goldie Hawn practically plays two roles, and you gotta love her in both. Kurt Russell is lovable as always.

This DVD is a must have if you prefer comedies that also make you feel a little warmth. The importance of motherhood is stressed as "Roy" cries, plaintively, "I need discipline." You'll watch it over and over again.

Summary: Not funny at all
Review: I found Overboard to not be the least bit funny. I don't see how they can classify it as being a comedy. It is just another run-of-the-mill "comedy" that is boring and not funny at all. The movie is very predictable throughout the whole film. The premise is good but the way the director and the cast carry out with it is horrible. Kurt Russel is trying to play a different role in this movie and I think he should just stick with his usual. Goldie Hawn does the best that she can with her role but I don't think anybody could make it great. Overall Overboard is a senseless, predictable movie with failed humor. 2 Stars

Summary: Very Plain DVD!! Hilarious Movie!!
Review: I was very disappointed in this DVD. The only special features it has are the theatrical trailer, language selection, and chapter skip. It is one of the plainest DVDs out there. That is the only reason I gave this DVD 4 stars. The movie is a wonderful joyride of laughs. Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn both give terrific performances that outdo most of there other comedy rolls. They work so well together in this film. I wouldn't buy this DVD for the special features, but buy it for the movie. It will not disappoint.

Summary: Ok Movie, DVD Has No Extras
Review: This is a good movie to rent, but if you are looking for the DVD to contain some extras to add to the value, there are none. I found the picture and sound to be no better than VHS.

Summary: An all-time favorite, always makes me laugh!
Review: I have seen this movie probably ten times and it always makes me happy and makes me laugh. My spouse and I love it. Goldie and Kurt are excellent together, and their humor and ease with each other is so apparent. They are just fabulous in this movie. Both of their performances will be appreciated in this classic comedy for years to come. Romantic and funny and adoreable!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An entertaining, feel-good movie. Watch it together!
Review: I was surprised at how this movie pulled me in and kept me interested until the end. While I do not consider myself a "fan" of Goldie Hawn or Kurt Russell, their performances in this film are first rate and the characters they portray get under your skin. This was probably one of Roddy McDowall's last films, and while the role is small, he is terrific.

There is nothing in this film to shock or offend you. People in this film ultimately do the right thing, and that is rare in films these days.
