Summary: Nice one, Adam!
Review: Good movie!!! I guess this is what triggered Adam and Drew's newest movie "50 First Dates". You know why? BECAUSE THIS MOVIE WAS SO GOOD! It was pretty good. You just have to see it a few times. The first time I saw it I thought it was OK. Then, after the next few times, it got funnier and funnier! Its overall a pretty good movie. Especially the last 15 minutes when he gets on the plane and meets a famous rock star. (WHO? GET THE MOIVE AND FIND OUT!) So...yeah. Get this movie. You won't regret it.

Summary: The Wedding Singer rocks!
Review: The Wedding Singer stars Adam Sandler as Robbie Hart and Drew Barrymore as Julie Sullivan. The movie co-stars Christine Taylor as Holly, Julie's sister, Matthew Glare as Glenn Guglia, Julie's fiancé, and Allen Covert as Sammy, Robbie's friend. Frank Coraci directs this 97-minute movie, a 1998 New Line Cinema release.

This romantic comedy is set in 1985, complete with big hair, Miami Vice references, and 80's music. Robbie is singing at a wedding (with a band member who looks like Boy George), and meets Julia who is a new waitress. Robbie is excited about his upcoming wedding, but is left at the altar. He decides to go back to work and gives a horrible performance ending his career as a wedding singer. In the meantime, Julia is engaged to Glenn, who is cheating on her, and Robbie is talked into helping them in planning their wedding. Spending time together help Robbie and Julia realize that they are also falling in love.

This sets the stage for a somewhat typical romantic comedy. Robbie wants Julia but she is engaged, and when she is ready to leave Glenn, she thinks Robbie has returned to his former fiancé. Upset, she decides to go to Las Vegas to marry Glenn. Robbie finds out and decides to go to Vegas and convince Julia to leave Glenn for him. While on the plane Robbie meets 80's icon Billy Idol and tells him what he is planning to do. Robbie then finds out Glenn and Julia are on the plane. Robbie sings a love song to Julia and Billy takes care of Glenn. The movie ends with Robbie and Julia getting married.

As a romantic comedy I would give the movie four stars, as most romantic comedies do not strike me as particularly funny. There are great scenes with Adam Sandler singing, and Drew Barrymore really makes the movie with great facial expressions and a great scene when she was hung over. Billy Idol, John Lovitz, and Steve Buscemi make guest appearances and are way funnier than one would think. With this combination, it makes The Wedding Singer one of the best romantic comedies I have had the pleasure of viewing.

This movie was funny, and if analyzed correctly, quite meaningful.

This movie is about hope, love, life and forgiveness. I loved it.

Summary: The Wedding Singer
Review: The Wedding Singer is a must-have for your movie collection! I have seen it a million times, and I still laugh hysterically every time.

I was born in 1980, and I'm so glad that I still remember most of that decade, because this movie brings back so many memories. Like girls dressing like Madonna and doing their hair like Cyndi Lauper, and guys obsessed with Miami Vice and dressing like Don Johnson and others dressing like Michael Jackson and doing the Moonwalk.

The cast of the Wedding Singer is wonderful and all are perfect for their parts! I love this movie so much: One of my absolute favorites! A friend of mine, who doesn't enjoy watching movies very much at all, saw parts of it and became completely absorbed in it, and is ready to watch it again!

So pick up a copy of the Wedding Singer today and get ready to party like it's 1985!

Summary: This movie really is terrific
Review: I just finished watching this movie (again) and I can't say enough about it. I do not like Adam Sandler (but he's great in this movie). I adore Drew Barrymore (and she's as gorgeous as ever in this flick). Alexis Arquette is hilarious as George...and the whole cast is just perfect and fun. Plus, if you "grew up" in the 80's you'll alternately smile and drool over the soundtrack. Just buy this for your collection. It's a sweet, happy love story, with superb performances, etc. etc. etc. Did I say "buy it?" Buy it! You'll want it for a rainy day, or any other day. There are some serious smiles throughout this entire movie.

Summary: Classic Adam Sandler
Review: This goes down in my book as one of Adam Sandler's best movies to date. In it he plays Robbie Hart, a struggling Wedding Singer who lives in his sisters basement who is stranded at the alter by his spoiled fiancee. He's a mess until he befriends Julia (Drew Barrymore), the waitress with a heart of gold. But, problems arise again when Robbie finds himself falling for her - she's engaged to some sleazy, two-timing, self-absorbed, Walstreet jerk. Convinced that she would never fall for a bum like him, Robbie keeps his feelings a secret. But little does his know, she feels the same way for him.
This movie is so much fun! Adam Sandler is absolutely hilarious. I laugh out loud every time I watch this movie. And who knew Drew Barrymore could actually be funny before this movie? The movie is full of 80's references (taking place in '85) - Rubik's cube, big hair, Madonna, David Bowie, Van Halen, Freddy Krueger, and...my personal favorite... Billy Idol - live and in person! Everyone should have this DVD as a part of their collection!

Summary: Yay
Review: Ok, not a fan of Adam Sandler really, and I haven't seen the DVD yet, but I have seen this movie on VHS and in the theater and its great. Its funny but not stupid-funny. If you haven't see it, go see it. If you have seen it, go see it again.

Summary: A real gem
Review: It's the 1980's. Robbie is the lead singer of a band which performs at weddings. He's a real expert on weddings. In fact, he's getting married himself. However his bride-to-be doesn't show up. She realized that she loved the young rocker Robbie, not the no-future wedding singer Robbie. Well, he completely loses his confidence and comes to hate weddings. In comes Julia, a waitress he had befriended at the wedding hall, who needs his help to plan her wedding. Can he regain his confidence as a wedding singer? Are there feelings between Robbie and Julia? Check it out.

In this romantic comedy, Adam Sandler plays Robbie as a man with a heart of gold. My favorite scene is when Robbie is playing at a Bar Mitzvah (he won't play at weddings anymore, so there aren't a lot of options left). He spots an overweight kid who seems a bit lonely, so he arranges a special dance for him with Julia. It's difficult to describe, but it's so heartwarming.

To tell the truth, I'm a really big fan of 80's music and nostalgia. THis movie is packed full of some of the best 80's hits. If you have any love for the 80's, you should own this movie. Also in my opinion, this is the absolute best Sandler movie.

Summary: Classic Love Story
Review: This film really takes you back to the 80's. Adam Sandler shines as Robbie, a wedding singer down on his luck and Drew Barrymore is perfect as the girl with the jerk boyfriend planning a wedding. It is destined that the two of them fall in love because the chemistry is there. The supporting cast helps make this film what it is also. The soundtrack is awesome and this is truly a first class love story that will take you back in time. This film truly recreates the 80s with the fashion, the music, the set design, just a real accurate portrayel of that point in time.
