Summary: One of the Funniest Movies I Have Ever Seen!!
Review: I see movies occasionally and never more than once in the theater. I saw this one four times in the theatre. Each time I had to share it with another group of friends. Each time the audience howled with laughter. The humor is accessible on many different levels. It has the fast pacing of a Seinfeld and has not-so-subtle references to Scorcese and Tarantino films. This is one DVD that will get a lot of use as you put it on when you really want to laugh. You won't be disappointed!

Review: I watch this movie every two weeks or so. Great as inspiration for me when I go out on weekends. Tremendous film that all can relate to as well. END

Summary: truthful and hilarious
Review: I think every guy--at one point or another in his life--can associate with the character of Mike (played by Jon Favreau) in "Swingers": he's living in LA, having trouble holding down a job, and is still getting over the breakup of a six-year relationship. Favreau's portrayal of an average Joe who tenses up around women and ends up blowing his chances by talking about his ex is vindicative of the modern male.

"Swingers" is a breezy adventure through the clubs and nightlife of Los Angeles, as a group of friends and struggling actors go out and attempt to score with the "beautiful babies." They're led by Trent (Vince Vaughn), a hepcat guy who talks smooth and has no problem scoring, and is the general example of "cool."

Favreau, who wrote the script, is excellent at portraying an everyman, probably because he doesn't possess prettyboy good looks and his dialogue is so down-to-earth and funny. Actually, even the most minor supporting performance stands out in "Swingers" because of the high energy all around.

This is a very funny portrayal of the modern dating scene that works because we can associate with the characters. Doug Liman's documentary-style directing helps give the proceedings an accuracy that it might not have had if handled by someone else.

Summary: Lame
Review: To borrow a "witty" line from the movie, this movie is so NOT money. Tries to be too hip, too cool, too indy. People don't act this way.

Shallow and less than exciting. I know some people want to go buy this movie and watch it like 50 times or something, but not me.

Summary: I am 100% Girl and I enjoyed this movie!
Review: When my husband (then boyfriend) rented this movie, I was pissed off thinking it was some stupid guy movie...but the movie was entertaining, funny, cleverly written, and much more! It's not a stupid movie at all - it has everything both a guy and a girl would enjoy in a movie...it's not mush and it's not all about testosterone either! A+

Summary: it doesn't get any better than this
Review: I assumed this movie would be about guys scoring chicks and making women look foolish in the process, but I was dead wrong. It's the guys who end up looking ridiculous, and the nice guy finishes first this time. Great music, wonderfully natural feel, like being right there in the action instead of watching a movie (Jon Favreau pulls this off in "Made" as well). Favreau is sweet and adorable as Mike Peters, who's trying to get over his girlfriend, and Vince Vaughn oozes charisma and demands your attention as Trent Walker. Very funny film, very real, never a dull moment. You'll fall in love with this film and then you'll have to buy the soundtrack, because it's so damn cool. One of my top 5 favorite films.
Vegas, Baby, VEGAS!!!!!

Summary: A very funny flick for guys
Review: While I'm too lazy (and too tired from my laughs) to dig deep for the philosophical value of this movie, I have to say this is good, classic American comedy that truly entertains. The story feels random at times but I guess this is not a movie to be taken seriously, but one to make you laugh (esp. if you are a guy who's into movies). Whether you want a movie about funny guys, gorgeous girls, love, lust, whatever, or all of them, this film is a must-see. An indie gem.

Summary: Best movie ever, baby !
Review: Without a doubt, the most original movie i have ever seen. This story is a glimpse in to the life of the struggling, up and coming actor in Hollywood. It is loosely based on John and Vince and the troubles that they had breaking into the biz. Fantastic writing and low-budget feel. Perfect combo. A+. Do not miss this movie!!

Summary: HOCKEY SCENE IS MONEY!!!!!!!
Review: One of my favorite scenes from any movie comes from this comedy. How funny is it when they show Sue and Trent playing the old school NHLPA game for Sega???? Adding to the hilarity is that anyone thats played video games can easily imagine this scene ocurring with one of your friends. The instant replay, making people's heads bleed, talking smack about how he beat the computer with the offsides off and how "its not as much me as it is jeremy roenick." Classic.

Summary: smart and chic
Review: Dialogue-driven but stylized ode to blithe bachelor lifestyle in city of dreams. Tarantino sans the violence, "Swingers" swings itself to the top of my cult classics list.
