Summary: The Ideal Romantic Comedy!
Review: 'Serendipity' is defintely one of my favorite romantic comedies. I really can't explain why I enjoyed this movie so much! It was really cute and innocent with some really witty moments and lots of carefully planned humor. When I left the theater, I couldn't help feeling giddy and happy! It's strange how movies can do that to you...

John Cusack was fantastic! He really fit into this role. John Cusack is really talented when it comes to comedy. I loved him 'America's Sweethearts' and he was just as good, if better in 'Serendipity'. Kate Beckinsale was cute and fun throughtout the entire movie. The two main chracters (Cusack and Beckinsale) were both very likable people and it was fun to cheer them on throughtout their ordeal!

Summary: snore
Review: I was not very impressed. It so happens that I went to this movie hoping that I could do the following.

1. Satisfy my girlfriends need to watch a chick flick.
2. Be amused by Cusack's antics of trying to find "the one"

Neither was accomplished. John was not as amusing as I had hoped and the movie was so predictable that after the first 10 minutes you could call the ending with pinpoint accuracy. Acting by Cusack and staff was palatable......... hence the reason for 3 stars.

Summary: Not for the faint of heart
Review: I like romantic comedies, even ones harser critics like my wife find too sweet. I like John Cusack movies. I like just about anything set in New York. I love the idea of serendipity. Even so, I found this movie just a little too much. The long opening scene with the characters getting to know each other was nice -- evocative of "Sleepless in Seattle" even, in the way it draws you in. After that, it's straight downhill into overly orchestrated "coincidences", sketchy sentiment and product placement.

Summary: Predictable yet funny
Review: Serendipity doesn't exactly break new ground, yet it's funny and entertaining enough for everyone to enjoy. John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale are great in the lead roles, though Molly Shannon steals the show. Given all of the recent events in the United States, this is a great movie to watch for a few laughs and to escape from reality. I definately recommend this movie!

Summary: Warm, Wonderful & Cozy
Review: This is one of the most warm and uplifting films I have seen in a while. The scenery is so cozy and the story is just fun! With all the events taking place in the world today, this was a delightful movie to see. John and Kate look so adorable together, don't miss it on the big screen with its snowy scenes and great actors. Saw it 3 times already and can't wait to own it on DVD.

Summary: Warm, Cozy and Delightful
Review: From the very first scene I knew I was going to own it someday. I saw it 3 times already, it is a wonderful, happy film with very cozy snowy scenes from the beginning. With all the events in the world right now, this was a very welcome upbeat movie to see. Don't miss it! John and Katie are great together!!!

Summary: ****Magical****
Review: I left the theatre after seeing "Serendipity" feeling enlightened, like I had just fallen in love myself. The main characters Sara (Kate Beckinsale,) and Jonathan (John Cusack) have such great chemistry, it's hard to believe they aren't together in real life. Even though they hardly have any on-screen time together (save for beginning and end) there is a magic between them that has you routing for them right from the start. If you're a hopeless romantic, like me, go see this. You won't be disappointed.

Summary: Total disappointment
Review: After seeing so many wonderful John Cusack movies I couldn't help but find this movie a total waste of time. The funny dialog, interesting characters and innovative plot devices were completely absent. In there place was a simplistic, slow moving after school special which contained a few poorly developed uninteresting characters.
I typically can't help but see Cusack's movies so, if you must, at least wait 'til it comes out on video.

Summary: Serendipity - a sweet film
Review: I did like this film. It was a very sweet movie, and a good one to see in the times we are living in. I've always believed in fate and destiny and that's really what this was all about. If you are a person who has faith in what's meant to be, see this film...better yet, see it with someone you feel is your soulmate!
