Summary: Great Entertainment
Review: A very entertaining movie with the strength and appeal of Reese Witherspoon at the center of it all. She dominates the movie with intelligence, personality, and wholesome good looks. Good homespun depiction of Alabama, and on the whole a good view of Americana Alabama style. Candice Bergen terrific as the mayor of New York as was Jean Smart and Fred Ward in small parts. Southern actors in the movie were very interesting, especially Josh Lucas who plays Witherspoon's childhood boyfriend and present husband. Added benefit is a staged depiction of Civil War battle scenes. Good enjoyable entertainment, terrific acting by everyone involved, and definitely a Five-Star movie, if your purpose is entertainment.

Review: I just finished watching Sweet Home Alabama and I just fell in love with it! Reese Witherspoon is great in this movie and has all the things every girl loves. Melanie is a rising fashion designer in New York who becomes engaged to Andrew, New York's mayor's rich and attractive son. Since she is ashamed of her background, she goes alone to Alabama to face her past, where she tries to make her husband, Jake (I LOVE YOU JOSH LUCAS!!!) sign the divorce papers. When he refuses to sign them, Melanie slowly realizes that the background that she had been trying so hard to hide had been the right place for her all along. Who does she choose in the end? I'm not going to tell you (Even though it's probably obvious from the way I've been describing the story, hehe), but Sweet Home Alabama kept me guessing all the way until the VERY END, which I loved so much. The music is really cool too, even though I've never been a huge fan of country music. Everyone's accents in the movie was pretty cool too! I definitely recommend this movie to everyone, it's a must-see!!!

Review: Sweet Home Alabama is a movie about a designer from New York City who left her heart in Alabama. Right after becoming engaged to one of the most eligible bachelors in New York, Melony Carmichael travels down to her home state to try and finalize an ongoing divorce to the man she knew she would marry from when she was 10 years old. She is reminded that "What she was looking for was right where she left it." This was an excellent, touching film and one that I will watch again and again.

Review: I saw Sweet Home Alabama with my sister, and I just want to start out by saying I didn't rent it, she did. The only reason I watched this was because of Reese Witherspoon and her hilarious role in Legally Blonde in 2001. I laughed, oh, maybe 4 times during this movie. I would mostly just describe it as "moderately amusing". The plot is boring, I almost fell asleep twice. I just really didn't care at all what happened, and the "twist" towards the end was just plain stupid. If I were you I'd save my money for Legally Blonde.

Review: Sweet Home Alabama is a great movie!! A good hearted movie with some humor with an attitude! It's so funny! I went to see it with my best friend and we were singing the song 'Sweet Home Alabama' the whole way home! Everybody I know has seen it and loved it! If you have not seen see it today!!! Resse Witherspoon is a great actress also! I think she was the best choice for that part! Their is nobody better! Congrats to Resse! She's having her second child! Good Luck Resse!!!

Review: I absolutely loved this movie! I think any girl would enjoy this film. It captures the country girl and rich city girl all in one. Great leading characters as well as supporting cast. I could watch this movie at least once a week!

Summary: Predictable, formulaic, frothy, cute
Review: Not much to say that hasn't already been said. You just know how this is all going to shake down as soon as you see how down-home irresistable her ex-husband is. A romantic comedy that's made in the shade for adorable Reese Witherspoon. And thank god they don't overplay the signature theme song, which is a GREAT song, but could certainly have been overdone if drummed into the ground by obnoxious repetition.
Wonderful cameo role played by Candace Bergen with every waspish look firmly in place.
Not deep. Just fun.
