Summary: Sweet, but formulatic romantic comedy.
Review: "Sweet Home Alabama", directed by Andy Tennant, is a charming, yet formulatic romantic comedy starring the always talented, Reese Witherspoon.

PLOT SUMMARY: Melanie (Reese Witherspoon) is a small town Alabama native who wants something more in her life, so she moves out to New York City and becomes a famous fashion designer. There, she meets the mayor of New York City's son, and completely falls for him. But after he proposes to her, Melanie must go back home to Alabama (the only place she's been avoiding all these years) so she can get a divorce from her childhood best friend...only to discover that he may not actually want to get the divorce. And that there may still be sparks between the two. Now Melanie has a tough decision to make.

MY OVERALL THOUGHTS: "Sweet Home Alabama" is a very sweet and fun romantic comedy, but it is also very predictable. Still, it is very enjoyable. The dialouge is a little weak, but the storyline is good and the acting from the entire cast is solid. Reese Witherspoon especially shines in this one. The chemistry between Reese and her two love interests are good, and the directing was well-done. The DVD has a few interesting features like a commentary by the director, eight deleted scenes, alternate ending, and a music video, but nothing to go nuts over. If you like romantic comedies...even the formulatic ones, then this film is for you.

I recommend "Sweet Home Alabama".

Summary: Depressing, sad, sweet, dramatic, romantic, and funny!
Review: This movie has all the qualities you will ever need in a movie.
It's depressing, sad, sweet, dramatic, romantic, and funny!
Hey, who could ask for more
WARNING: the depressing level is high. If you don't like to feel sad, you might have a hard time during a good amount of this film.

On the other side of it, if you like mixed category movies..you'll have a great time!

If the question is: whether or not your children should watch it, i'd consider the fact that it does have some foul language and minor drug references (it shows some people getting drunk for a few minutes)
Although this movie has some minor parts, your kids would probably enjoy this.
Specifically girls! Reese Witherspoon is also great in this movie.

Review: The cast pulls this one off as it has good flow, lots of smiles and is good light entertainment.

Summary: Sweet and Romantic...
Review: I loved this movie because it is really sweet and romantic. I can really relate to this movie because the same kind of thing happened to me. I had a childhood sweetheart that I even kissed when I was young like in the movie. We fell in love and although we had some hard times, we made it through. I thought the acting in the movie was great! Reese Witherspoon did a wonderful job playing the "city-girl" and the "southern chick"! I watched it so many times. The DVD is OK but the movie is fantastic !!!!!

Summary: I love this movie!!
Review: This movie was great. I love movies that I can watch over and over and over again and never get bored. There are some very funny scenes and Reese is great. The DVD doesn't have too many extras. It does have an alternate ending but it's not that great. There are no outtakes, so that's always a bummer. But, I would recommend this movie to all my friends. It does not have more than a few bad words and the content is such that the whole family can watch it. My husband even liked it, although he'll never confess such!

Summary: Don't waste precious time on this.
Review: The main issue is a girl that is going to get married with the NY mayor's son. In her past, she got married, and was working on her divorce. At the end she ends up with her Alabama's husband. Yeah, I know it's another movie, that didn't deserved to be film. A couple of laughs, at most. 1 1/2 hour of boring, depressing, tried-to-be jokes, and finally it ends. Deserves a big F.

Summary: Not what you think it is...
Review: I thought this would be just another stupid chick flick, and in a way i was right, and in a way i was wrong. It is a somewhat predictable story. A woman named Melanie Carmicheal has a husband but gets engaged with another guy. her husband refuses to sign the divorce papers and while she is getting him to sign, she visits her Sweet Home, Alabama! I won't give any more away. Don't get me wrong, it's a cute movie all in all but not as good as it looks. I would recommend seeing this if you into predictable plots and pretty girls. Thanks.

Summary: Cheesy but cute!
Review: The movie is pretty silly but entertaining, but the DVD was sort of a disappointment. I have gotten used to being "wowed" by DVDs and the extras they offer you and this one is only [OK]. The other possible ending is only vaguely interesting, but it does make you appreciate the current ending all the more!

Summary: Sweet and Romantic!
Review: It may be predictable, but I have not seen a romantic movie that made me smile as I watched this movie in a long time!!! It's funny, cute, romantic and good acting cast!!! It's worth watching it!

Summary: Awesome
Review: This movie made me smile and laugh and just plain feel good. All my friends liked it too. I have loaned it out now but I can't wait to get it back so I can watch it again. And I think Reese Witherspoon is great.
