Review: This film is a wonderfully crafted piece of work. I enjoyed all of the characters and laughed hysterically through much of it. I am so pleased to see a film that has been made in Canada and is not afraid to show it. Let me just say this: It's a far cry from "Dudley Do Right". <retch>

Review: If you're a lesbian and you have not yet seen this movie, hop to it! It is by far the best lesbian film I have seen so far. So many independent lesbian films are lacking in both talent and production capabilities, but this film has it all. The actors are believeable as people, the film quality is wonderful, and the sex scenes are hot!

Review: A marvelous, sexy,ALIVE film which celebrates sexuality as it fights against the closets of fear, government power, and sameness that'd lock love away. This is a film EVERYONE should see! ...A political film that manages to be HOT, & funny, as well as poinient.It challenges us all - by finding that the fear of "normal","moral",people is as potentially deadly to liberty and love as are the crude weapons of skin-heads. It counterposes ugly fear with oh so MUCH beauty!

Review: This movie broke through the stereotypes of lesbian women. It was an enjoyable movie for anyone! A terrific love story that addresses social issues and just plain entertains. The soundtrack is also fabulous. You must see it at least once!

Review: Very good light movie. I saw it twice at the theatre and couldn't wiat for it to come out on video. Bought a dvd player because the price of the dvd movie was so much less. High Art was my favorite but now this is .... A++++ buy it and have friends over to watch with you

It scratches the surface of many different issues we face today, yet maintains a light enough story line to keep it funny and interesting. The cast of actors are attractive and you can identify parts of their characters with people you know. The music ensemble was good too.

Review: It's always nice to see a lesbian flick with some steamy scenes and cute girls, but it's better when there is a good story line. This movie's plot is unbelievable, is unconvincingly serious at times, and poorly acted. It's a decently fun light date movie, but lacks substance as it tries to have deeper meanings and dwell in social and politcal issues. This movie was fun to watch, but offers nothing more than a few decent bedroom scenes and a failed attempt at a powerful movie. It's a mediocre romantic comedy that tries to accomplish too much. I recommend seeing it, but don't pay too much or expect great filmmaking.

Review: i saw this wonderous movie twice at the theatres, and have been bouncingly awaiting its video release - yay! it's out! - so now i'll just give my little review: oh. my. i haven't seen too many good chick flicks, and even less with only chicks. ;) most of the time they're cheesy, over-dramatic, and just, well, bad. hence the name "chick flick," implying all sorts of lame qualities. but better than chocolate is FAR above this: there are several sub-plots, romantic but nearly realistic sex scenes, GREAT acting, and an ending that isn't candy coated, nor depressing beyond belief. it's real, with a burst of sunshine here 'n' there. and it's ~funny~ too. not all the time - some scenes make you wonder if you're gonna cry (how embarrasing!) but the next few scenes give you enough time to get over it before toying with your emotions again. yay. :)
