Review: I love this movie! Gwenyth Paltrow's costumes and hair our a feast for the eyes. The dialouge is fun. If you are having a sleep over I suggest the "Emma" and "Clueless" set. it is fun to compare the differences and similarities.

Review: There are alot of ways to play Emma. Paltrow's version is *very* sympathetic and adorable, which can jibe with those who don't like the Emma character very much. She makes alot of faces and her English is full of ohhs and emms, which helps to soften the ramifications and motivations for her meddling. Given the light, playful tone of the film, it works perfectly.

I like this adaptation. Winning and very enjoyable.

Review: I give the BBC's "Emma" 5 stars and the one with Paltrow only 2. Amazon has bunched the reviews together somehow--don't be fooled. The British know how to portray their own novels much better than we do!

Review: This is an absolutely sweet story. Paltrow makes an adorable 'Emma' -- and any girl will fall in love with 'Mr. Knightley!! I watch it over and over - and never tire of it. It will really make you laugh when you see all the trouble Emma's antics get her into!! She is so human, portraying a lack of humility at times and jealousy and at the same time also true love and loyalty. You will love Emma!! A perfectly wonderful movie.

Review: What an agonnzing film. THis could have been a good film but Paltrows one note preformance does the film in. She is a terriable actress who showed little talent here and even less( And this is possialbe the worst preofrmance i have ever seen) in her oscar winning one. the rest of the cast is good but she is just awfull. Platrow should sotp embarrsingother young actress whit what she calls acting.

Review: I simply LOVE Emma. Not only is Gwyneth Paltrow totally CUTE, but the movie, plot, setting, characters, etc. are great! It is not boring but witty. I agree with every other person who gave Emma a 5. This movie should've gotten the Oscar for Best Picture. If you liked Ever After or Clueless you'll ADORE Emma. You go Emma!

Review: I once saw this movie on TV once and have rented it twice. Emma is about a matchmaking busybody that trys to set up her friends with funny, and amusing results. This movie is light-hearted, witty, splendidly acted, a must see.
