Summary: pretty good, but not great
Review: The movie was a little boring at first, but soon it gets better with the romance. The acting was good and I don't care what anybody says, Gweneth's acting was perfect. The movie wasn't really funny though, it was more of a satire and its better to watch if you know Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night. The movie isn't bad, the costumes are beautiful, but Judi Dentch winning a supportive oscar...oh gag me please. Dentch and Annne Bancroft are the two most oveerated actresses ever.

Summary: A waste of much time and slim talent
Review: If you look past the hype, and all the beatiful people that populate this "Film" you see that most of the actor over act or ( in Paltrows case) dont act at all. It's throguhly boring, dumb and devoid of all wit.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best movie of the year.
Review: This movie is simply amazing. Joseph Fiennes does not get the credit he should for his amazing performance. This doesn't disappoint!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent! One of the best movies I've seen!
Review: Shakespreare in Love is incredibly well acted out with a wonderful job turned in by Gwyneth Paltrow and Joseph Fienes. It captures the time perfectly and the sets are wonderful. I also loved the storyline and how everything was tied together. If I were Siskel & Ebert I'd give it 2 thumbs way up and all my toes too!

Summary: It opens the heart to anyone who has loved and lost.
Review: This movie lives up to the idea of what I picture Shakespeare to be. A womenizer,a lover,a brilliant writter and a romantic.I loved every aspect of this movie. It hypmotized me at the theatre and I counted the days down until I could see it again. When I got to see it at home it was like I fell in love all over again.Paltrow and Fiennes were spectacular. I was not familiar with Fiennes work but he won my respect with this film. He is all I picture Shakespeare to be. I have even gotten my seven year old in love with the movie. I suggest you buy the screenplay, you relive the movie each time you read it. A standing ovation for Norman and Stoppard! FIVE STAR PREFORMANCE! If you love Shakespeare you will love this movie.

Summary: This is not to be watched, but rather should be witnessed...
Review: There is nothing i could with good conscience surmise to fully bring to light the beauty of this extraordinary film.

Summary: Absolutely wonderful!
Review: I had already seen this movie twice at the theaters, and when I saw it on video, I became even more enamoured of it. To my surprise, I was laughing and crying through the entire movie. No wonder it won the Best Picture Oscar!

Summary: Excellent
Review: An excellent film in all aspects - very funny, well acted and romantic. The US version of the disc has only a few extras though - the UK version (region 2) is the definitive version with a documentary, gallery, bios, TV spots etc.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent acting, story, script -- excellent film!
Review: I love period pieces in general but this one was a special pleasure. A wonderful combination of comedy, passion and tragedy, the actors obviously relished their roles and brought a plausible story about a young Wil Shakespeare to vibrant life. This is a movie to own and watch again and again!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Pretty good
Review: Some purists would complain about the "poetic"license concerning Shakespear's personal muse, however, this rendition was a pleasure to sit through at 33,000 feet, a-la-US Airways.
