Summary: Funnier Than Your Normal Public Service Announcement!
Review: Ah, the 70's! The late Gene Siskel once reffered to it as "Hollywood's last golden era". After all, we were treated to such classics as "Star Wars", "Dirty Harry", "Annie Hall" and "The Disco Godfather". At least, in the 70's, they had enough cojones to call it the "Avenging Disco Godfather", but they also wore feathered hair. Comedian Rudy Ray Moore stars as a retired cop turned flashy disco owner, who avenges the near death of his nephew, by striking vengance on angel dust dealers. Part public service announcement, part Sam Pekkinpah gore fest, Moore hits the mean streets in a mean polyester suit and an anti-drug attitude (almost like a male version of Nancy Reagan). Along the way, he kung-fu karate chops men three times his size and beds hot women - also three times his size! This little squirt is one tough cookie, and it only makes the film that much more laughable. I'm honestly not sure if "Godfather" is supposed to be a comedy, but good lord is it funny! Filled with low-rate disco wannabe hits like "Shermanizing" (don't ask what that means - like the movie, just take it for face value)and hysterical pop culture plugs (drug dealers snort angel dust off the cover of a Saturday Night Fever Album cover!)"Godfather" will have you laughing from start to end. Just not intentionally. I think.

Summary: Are u kidding me
Review: Cinema at its highest low point, I remember this film growing up. And it is still extremely funny, I think all the actors took classes in an ally somewhere, but the name calling is enough to keep you watching, and the plot, come on who can ask for anything more from a bad black exploitation film. After a hard days work, sit back with some friends and watch our hero, put an end to the rampaging effects of angel dust.

Summary: PUT YOUR WEIGHT ON IT
Review: Don't believe the bad reviews folks, this is RUDY RAY MOORE. "Avenging Disco Godfather," is Moore's most serious film, dealing with the harm Angel Dust was delivering to the black community in the late seventies.

Sure things are not as techinically sound as a large budget Hollywood film, but so what. Since Moore was paying for the whole deal out of his pocket, you're going to have to cut him some slack. And yes, the acting is not the best, but no one here is a real professional. So give Moore a break. Despite its shortcomings,Avenging Godfather was a large step for Moore's underground cast and crew.

Godfather is not RR Moore's best movie - Human Tornado is. But watch this film for what it is - an underground classic. So dig it baby and PUT YOUR WEIGHT ON IT!!!!!!!!

Summary: Don't put your weight on it!
Review: First off, Rudy Ray Moore is not Dolemite in this so called third installment of the series. He plays an ex-cop turned DJ and Dancer named Tucker. Secondly, this movie has very little comedy and action both of which made Moore famous in Dolemite and Human Tornado. The most important thing about this you should know is that it seems to be one big repetitive mess based on "Angel Dust" and its terrorizing effects on the human brain. There are far too many scenes of hallucinating and the synthesized background music is almost nauseating. All in all the film is a waste of time and shouldnt be mistaken as part of the Dolemite series. Oh and by the way, Don Johnson and Madonna are not in this movie

Review: How do people even think of making such horrible films?
1st of all you lose the plot the second the beginning credits end
2nd of all the acting is terrible
3rd of all these movie is horrible

Summary: Rudy Ray Moore Is The Greatest Man That Ever Lived
Review: I highly recommend all Rudy Ray Moore movies, especially "Petey Wheatstraw, The Devils Son In Law." His movies are some of the absolute greatest things ever made.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Unintentional comedy at its finest
Review: I love this movie. Ok, I admit, it's of very poor quality all around. The script, acting, plot, and music are all weak, but everytime I see this movie, I laugh so hard I cry. "Put cho' weight on it!"
