Summary: THUMBS UP
Review: "Thumbtanic" is a VERY FUNNY parody of "Titanic". The best scene is where they satirize Celine Dion & her singing. It'll split your gut.

Summary: I never saw the 3 hour long 'Titanic'...
Review: and if God is willing, I never WILL. But I did see 'Thumbtanic', a lovely picture of an event that never happened, about a ship, a giant piece of ice and a big spider. The hero, Jake, and his true love, Geranium, fall in love, do the nasty, learn to spit and escape the ship all in about 27 minutes. The rich thumbs make fun of the poor thumbs, the Captain is ALWAYS wearing a life-jacket and there are LOTS of funny accents. What MORE can you ask for?
If you liked this movie you will LOVE 'Thumb Wars'.

Summary: Don't buy Thumbtanic, Buy Thumb Wars instead
Review: Firstly I would like to point out that I am writing this review as a person who thoroughly enjoyed the first installment in this series- Thumb Wars. However Thumbtanic (the third in the series) is about as funny as the actual film Titanic or even the reality of the actual Titanic story itself (i.e. about as funny an episode of the Golden Girls at cake shop). I bought Thumbtanic out of curiousity (as I did with the second installment The Blair Thumb) thinking that it could be as good or better than Thumb Wars but instead I have been subjected to lack-lustre comedy (if that's what you'd call it).

The story is based around the love saga of Jake and Geranium (real names Leonardo and Kate). Geranium is the rich kid that wishes to be poor while Jake is the poor ruffian who gets the raw deal. The storyline is based on the Titanic movie with over-the-top antics from most staff members on the ship. The number of genuinely funny moments can be calculated on one hand, actually on one thumb to be precise (!!!!)

Summary: Thumbs up
Review: Funny and recommended, although somewhat less highly than "Thumb Wars" or "Bat Thumb". There is some hysterical stuff here, but also a few brief bits that don't quite work as well. The additional "cast interviews" are a riot. If you enjoy Oedekerk's other "Thumb" films, you must have this one.

Summary: Four thumbs up!
Review: I was originally planning to give this movie only three stars (or thumbs), but when I found myself constantly recalling how funny it was, I knew I had to change it. After seeing Thumb Wars, I was hooked on this new thumb franchise. So I had to see the next installment. I must admit, Thumbtanic isn't nearly as good as its counterpart, but is definitely worth a shot. The humor is a bit more sexual in Thumbtanic and the special effects are terrible (though the same great facial expressions on the thumbs are everywhere!). If you aren't familiar with all this, it's just a 30 minute spoof of the movie Titanic, but all the characters are thumbs with superimposed faces. I really recommend checking out Thumb Wars first, though I enjoyed Thumbtanic also because of its barrage of quotable lines... and believe me, after seeing it, you can't help but quote it. Hey, you don't find this kind of unique, off-beat humor often!

Summary: Thumbs Up!
Review: I'm a big fan of Steve O from Thumb Wars, Kung Pow, and the Blair Thumb. Of the thumb trilogy, I'd put Thumbtanic at #2 behind Thumb Wars. This is a good flick and well worth the purchase if you're a fan of wacky humor and talking thumbs with goofy facial expressions. The music video spoof had me rolling. I also own the original Titanic, which helps in getting all the parody elements. Definitely recommend this.

Summary: Steve Oekekerk Is NUTS! And It's GREAT!
Review: Steve Oedekerk definitely has windmills in the splinters of his mind. But insanity isn't always a bad thing. Take Thumbtanic, for example. A hilarious send-up of blockbuster Hollywood movies is Steve's forte, and it is done here in style. Funny, fast paced, sight-gags a plenty, special effects, not-so-special effects, a cyclops, a giant marauding sp... well, shouldn't give too much away here.

Warning! As with any "Thumb-mation" epic, don't eat or drink during the viewing. You'll be laughing too hard to do that, anyway!

Summary: Thumbtanic does not totally go into the ocean
Review: This is a good choice if you are sick of Titanic, and if you are a little strange in the head. Weather you liked Titanic or not, this is a worth the time to watch... and you may even become addicted to the whole series of Thumb movies... if you are not already.
