Rating: Summary: Sometimes it was alright.... Review: Well it started off like all the rest( and I mean that) and then it got into some really bad stuff, I usually like spoofs but this one is just plain bad! Tom Arnold is in this movie and he's not that exciting. sorry about the yuckie review but it's the truth..
Rating: Summary: Not worth your money!! Review: when I ordered this film I knew it wouldn't worth however i was curious. The jokes are exagerrated in a silly way and the actors are horrible. There is no nudity if you want some and nothing funny. This film can only be a Tv film..nothing more..I do not advise you to spend your money on this movie..It was a low class movie and I did not understand why tiffany amber played in this lousy film!!
Rating: Summary: Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th Review: When Scary Movie came out, I wanted to see it. It seemed like it was good, the trailer was fricking hilarious. It looked good. I went to see it over the summer in '97 or '98 and I couldn't stop laughing. It was so funny, but it copied off of Scream & I Know What You Did Last Summer way too much and it used a lot of raunchy sex gags that, while funny, were nasty. No wonder my mom doesn't want me to see it again(But I Do.) Anyway, over this past summer, I found Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th at Hollywood Video and my little brother wanted me to get it. So I got it and we watched it that night and we laughed our rear ends off. This movie was great! The acting was a bit corny and there ain't much of a script, but as Warwick Davis once said of the later LEPRACHAUN movies, they ain't making Shakespeare. They just want to have some fun. It was funnier when I first saw it than when I first saw Scary Movie. Now, it doesn't make me laugh as much as Scary Movie still does, but it's more genuine. Compare the beginnings of Scream and Scary Movie. They're almost identical. Compare the endings of Scream and Shriek. They're similar, but very different and much funnier. Overall, Shriek doesn't have many scenes that are exactly identical to Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, unlike Scary Movie. Not as infamous or as well done as Scary Movie, but it's better because it actually spent time on figuring up scenes, while Scary Movie just took scenes from the movies they were spoofing, put different characters in it and different dialouge. Overall, Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the 13th is more genuine, funnier, and less gross-out than Scary Movie. You should see both, but you'll get more out of this one than Scary Movie. I guarantee it.
Rating: Summary: One star for effort Review: When you attempted to do a spoof of a spoof, you are signing your own death warrant. Shriek If You Know What I did Last Friday the 13th is spoof of Scary movie which is a Spoof of Scream and I Know What You did Last Summer. The only thing i found close to being funny were the silly pop ups toward the end of the movie, other then that the writers for this film obliviously didn't have the talent for writing comedy, they probably use the jokes that the Wayne's Brothers rejected. The dialog is rotten, and the stupidity of the some of the other characters is no where near humor level in Scary Movie. Stick with Scary, avoid this movie like the plague unless you are a film student or a film maker looking for examples of bad movies.
Rating: Summary: My kind of comedy horror spoof Review: While watching the Showtime free preview weekend, I caught a glimpse of the Scary Movie trailer. It looked liked a funny parody, so I rented it. Big mistake. If I had known about the extreme use of gross-out humor before hand, I wouldn't have touched it with a ten-foot-pole. As it was, I ended up being sorely disappointed and disgusted by the movie. There was very little in the movie that I found funny. Yesterday, I found myself looking at the box for Shriek at a nearby Hastings. Fears of it being just like Scary Movie almost kept me from renting it. Fortunately, I didn't listen to those fears but, instead listened to my inner desire to locate a funny horror movie parody. After watching just 10 minutes, I knew that I was in for a treat. Sidenote: A common misconception among viewers seems to be that Shriek ripped-off Scary Movie. The truth is, Shriek was produced before Scary Movie was. Warning ***** Might contain some SPOILERS.****** This movie is silly slapstick in the vein of Spaceballs and Airplane. It spoofs so many different movies, including: Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Shining (TV mini - There is a scene that seems to parody one from the Shining book and the TV mini-series between Horace Derwent and the guy in the wolf mask. As well as, the common "redrum" and topiary.), American Pie, Christine, Grease, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, etc. Not to mention some non-movie spoofs, in fact, two of my favorite moments were the Mentos parody and the Pop Up Video. A delightful treat for those who enjoy silly slapstick. If you enjoyed Airplane and Spaceballs, you might want to give this one a look see. Personally, I give it a grade of 4 out 5 stars.
Rating: Summary: Mentals Freshness! Review: Whoever says this isn't funny is very, well, stuck up. They would have to be very hard to entertain! Trust me. This film is hilarious! TRUST ME!
Rating: Summary: LOL Review: Wow this has got to be the funniest movie I've ever seen! I love scary movies, and believe me this is not one, but is possibly the best comedy ever made! Up there with anything adam sandler and 2gether of course. I recommend this movie to anyone with a sense of humor, but it would help if you saw the movies they were making fun of so you get the jokes cause they are GREAT!!!
