Review: This movie is a very funny laugh a minute funny. Although some people don't like the comparison between this and Scary Movie , this one is much better although they both have some scenes that are practically the same in both movies. Awsome movie for ages 13-18. Adults may not enjoy the content , and it is not a children movie.

Review: This movie is awful. I laugh more during an episode of The Oblongs than through this entire movie. (I don't like The Oblongs.)

The jokes SUCK. For example: the heroine is punching the bad guy, and he pops up after each punch, just to get knocked back down. The hero (if you can call him that) magically has popcorn in his hand, starts cheering her on. Almost soiled my underwear on that one!

The movie does have two things going for it...there is a scene in a garage when one character spontaneously bursts into song and dance, and his friends look at him like he's nuts. That part was genuinely funny. The other thing is Tom Arnold. I don't care what all my friends & family say, I think he's hilarious.

One star because that's the lowest somebody can rate something on Amazon.com. And because of Tom Arnold.

Review: This movie is great!! Finally a movie so stupid and outrageously funny. A spoof of a spoof! A non-stop ride of tacky special effects, stupid scenerios and even stupider characters. This movie is perfect for any movie lover who has seen all the scary movies and appreciates the humour in movies such as Airplane and Naked Gun.

The characters are even funnier. We have:

Dawson Deary - the name says it all. He's supposed to be that guy next door type Dawson Leery. He He!

Barbara - is the Sarah Michelle Gellar character in IKWDLS only stupid!

Hagitha Utslay - the gale Weathers character from Scream.

Deputy Doughy - as apposed to Deputy Dewey from Scream.

Mrs Tingle - if you've seen teaching Mrs Tingle you'll understand.

I could go on because everything in this movie is a spoof of something. Everything from IKWYDLS - Scream. Theres plastic deers, a kiiler car called 'Christine' and oppurtunities to advertise well known brands...you'll see what I mean.

An entertaining spoof that will leave you laughing and reaching for the rewind button!!

Review: this movie kind of dissopointed me it wasent as good as i thought it would be and coolio only makes two cameo appearences the scenes arent copied from other movies like scary movie although they are based this isnt as good as scary movie and i am a fan of spoofs but this seemed to dissopoint the acting was rubbish the jokes were funny but some were over the top i wached this with my aunt and she thought just the same not worth the money although i reccomend for a rent because ther are some good laughs in it

Summary: another HALARIOUS scream spoof but this time..........
Review: This movie was very funny. It was very stupid too. This time Tom Arnold and coolio is in this and even though it is almost the same plot as "Scary Movie" it is still worth watching. The acting and directing is quite good.If your a satire fan you will definetly love " Shriek if you know what i did last Friday the 13th".

Review: This straight to video parody of all the recent slasher films seems to have been a victim of bad timing, not bad film making.

The makers of "Scary Movie" went for the gross humor, while "Shriek" plumbs the same depths but not as revoltingly.

You know the drill (so to speak), a few high schoolers are murdered one by one by a madman at their school. The moxie crew identifies the killer.

There are scenes here that really had some funny moments. The opening murder here is funnier than the one in "Scary Movie." The chase around the kitchen island, the interrupting phone call, the killer lighting the cigarette, all funny. The school where this is set (Bulimia Falls High) is also funnier. The classroom doors have signs on them, and you hear very funny sounds coming from the rooms, i.e. "Sieg Heil!" from the German Club room. The background features the killer picking off whomever is standing there while in the foreground, our heroes worry that the victims are popular and white, like them. Funny cameos are also included from Shirley Jones and Mink Stole, and the final unmasking scene is a riot.

The only problem here is that the Zucker Brothers-type humor is wearing thin. It has been wearing thin for almost twenty years now. There are good ideas here, like how to survive a parody, and a pop-up video chase, but the bloom is off the comedic rose.

I recommend "Shriek...," but I give it the same recommendation that I gave "Scary Movie," with reservations.

Review: this was a great dvd Julie Benz ("buffy" and "Angel") performance was absolutly great. This film also stars "jonathan" from Buffy and Majandra Delfino from "Rosewell High".This film made me laugh so much.Although people might see it and think it is a rip-off of another comedy film, which i won't name.
