Summary: Funny, as well as a Great Movie
Review: This movie is good. People who haven't seen this movie will think it's just another "Scary Movie". This movie is in a different league. The more you watch it the the more you will like it. From the little smirks on Chyler Leigh's face to the delivery and lines of the all the characters, the movie is total genius! It is better than half of the movies it spoofs. Also, some of the reviews below talk about how the dvd is really good. They are right! It's got lots of behind the scenes stuff on the actors, deleted scenes, promos, and a cool yearbook.

Summary: This is funny!
Review: Come on, people! This is funny. Sure, there are a lot of innapropriate scenes that are stupid anyway. I am boarderlne for recommending this, but I proabably wouldn't (it's not as good as Scary Movie). I just loved the musical sequence at the end. I found a dvd easter egg on that. If your romote control had A-B, meaning you can press A at one point, and watch until a desired point, and press B, it will repeat everything between them, until you either eject the disc or press stop and then main menu. It had things like the weird cook (french toast) was inspired by a waiter in "Road Trip." When Jaimie had to make her own dress, it tells us that "Molly Ringwald had to make her own dress in Pretty in Pink," and goes on to tell us the top 5 teen movies/musicals. And this is all in a couple of minutes. This is an awesome dvd anyway. Although this film's ad has clips like "Then you better bo-ring it. Oh, it's already been bo-rocken and I'm the token black guy, I just smile, stay out of the conversation and say things like bling bling and that is whack," it has actually very fuuny clips, AND IS SMART. These people are only beat in the parody world by Mel Brooks. The Breakfast Club parody, though breif, was an excellent parody of the film. The same looking room, the same size room, the same architecture, the baloney on the sculpture, the detention guy (played by the same person), the clothes, the thing that one guy does with his sweatshirt, and the dialogue like "If my parents find out I got detention, there gonna kill me." Despite the ads, this as a VERY good and intellegent comedy. Other great comedies with awful ads are Rat Race and Super Troopers.

Summary: As tasteless as water...
Review: without any of water's redeeming qualities.

I couldn't watch more than thirty minutes before I gave up. The opening scene, of a young girl masterbating with a vibrator when her family walks in, was bad enough. Why did this ... director also have her family pull the blanket off of her? So we could see how the out of control device was firmly imbedded into her private area? Or because it would appeal to a certain demograpic (perverts/pedophiles/incest fantasies)?

No, this was certainly Not Another Teen Movie.

Review: without water's redeeming qualities. Those who found it humerous, even funny, might consider putting a new sense of humor on their Wish List.

Summary: High School Hijinks
Review: Teen movies get slammed in the genre spoof "Not Another Teen Movie". The popular high school jock (Chris Evans) makes a bet with his pals to turn the school's social outcast (Chyler Leigh) into a prom queen. If the story sounds familiar to "She's All That", then you are definately right. The movie targets a wide range of teen romances and comedies including "She's All That", "American Pie", "Varsity Blues" and "Bring It On". The movie contains outrageous gags and crude humor, and the cast seemed to have fun while making the film. The story is painfully predictable and many jokes often fall flat. The movie features some amusing cameos by Molly Ringwald (Pretty In Pink) and Mr. T.

Despite the movie's low points, Columbia has assembled a surprising special edition DVD. Presented in a widescreen format, the picture quality is remarkable and quite flawless. The Dolby Digital sound is great. The DVD features cast and filmaker's commentaries, behind-the-scenes featurettes, 18 deleted scenes, a music video, trailers and a teen movie quiz. The animated menus are stunning with catching images. Overall, this DVD scores a "C".

Summary: You should watch it more than once and you'll love it
Review: Well, I know this movie has gotten wretched reviews...but I have to say, in my honest personal opinion, I truly enjoy it. Yeah, there are certainly scenes where I have to turn my head away. No, its not a masterpiece, and yeah there is far too much gross-out humor. However, if I were ever involved in a movie, this is the kind I would want to be involved in, because its fun. If you didnt like like this movie, watch it twice and you'll love it.

Summary: why must everybody bash it so?
Review: I am a 16 year old guy, so I guesst hat may be a factor as to why I liked the movie. Dont listen to the 60 Years old critics, because the movie simply isnt for them. I enjoyed this movie as much, if not more than Scary Movie. It has tons of laugh out loud moments, and 2 of my favorite moments in movie history-the musical about the prom towards the end, and the cheer spoofing bring it on.
