Summary: One of the funniest movies ever!
Review: Airplane is truly a classic comedy. I don't believe there is a time when you watch this that you will not discover something funny that you missed during previous viewings. The only complaint I have is the transfer to DVD is not that great. Also other than the audio commentary, there is really nothing in terms of extras to see. It would be nice if there were some kind of "making of.." documentary- or something to that effect. I still recommend this just for great laughs.

Summary: Airplane!
Review: So you think you've seen the best comedy of all time, but you haven't seen Airplane! yet. Well, think again! The movie is jokes from start to finish, from the beginning credits to the scene following the ending credits (by the way, there are two funnies in the credits- look for them). After you go through the movie a few times, you'll notice the little jokes you'd overlooked, and trust me, there's plenty of them. The main feature of this movie, besides the humor, is the stellar cast, from Lloyd Bridges to Leslie Nielson and everyone in between. The plot is there only for laughs. Ted, a taxi cab driver, is in love with Elaine, a stewardess, and pursues her onto a doomed plane as she tries to leave him. Well, food poisoning steps in for its hilarious role. And the laughs keep going. So, want to see a funny, witty movie? Airplane! is the best bet. But a word to parents: The PG rating is very deceiving. Back in 1980, there was no PG-13, which this movie probably deserved, so be cautious with children. Otherwise, have a laugh.

Summary: HA HA HA HILARIOUS!
Review: This is one of the greatest movies ever made! It is funny... most comedys now days are rated PG-13 or (mostly) R. But not this one. The dialogue is great...(hilarious.) It will give you atleast 10 laughs (unless your depressed). I HIGHLY recomend this movie wheather you hate comedies or not. I would buy this movie for $50.00. Trust Amazon, it is selling you something Spectacular, Hilarious, and Awsome.

Summary: AIRPLANE!
Review: To say this is a SPOOF of all the DISASTER PICTURES of the 1970's is a big understatement! This one has non-stop gags from beginning to end! ROBERT HAYS and JULIE HAGERTY as the hero and his once and future gal are okay, but it is the SUPPORTIN CAST that steals this one! LESLIE NIELSEN totally revitalized his film career off of this film! LLOYD BRIDGES, PETER GRAVES and ROBERT STACK surprised everyone by playing along with the gags! Even BARBARA BILLINGSLEY shows up to steal a scene! From the TITANIC TRIO of Jerry Zucker/Jim Abrahams/David Zucker! Film COMEDY has never been the same! Plus, where do you think they got the idea for making "Gladiator"? It had to be from THIS film!

Summary: just kidding.. about the 1 star
Review: one of the best movies ever made.... the world would be a much happier place if a movie this good was released every week. i'm amazed at how well it holds up even today. we are talkin about a movie made in 1980. i remember watching it for the first time in the theater and people were laughing so loud i missed half of it but since there was little time to recover your composure.. most people missed a lot.. watching it over and over u see stuff in the background that could be considered overkill. and i had to watch it a few times to even figure out the plot, cause its too funny to even think about a plot. well that may be the trick to making a good comedy.. forget the plot... concentrate on the audio visual comedy... no one really needs a plot.

Summary: Funny back then, funny right now!
Review: I remember my parents taking me and my older sister to see this movie in Visalia, California at the Fox Theatre. It was in its opening weekend and the theatre was packed. I had never heard a theatre laugh so hard and so loud in one room before! My dad actually had to move to the row in back because my mom's laughter was way too loud when Robert Hayes' character said,"Now the [...] is really going to hit the fan." And it did. Literally. By todays standards, it's just another comedic movie. To people of my generation, it's a Hollywood masterpiece.

Review: I was amazed when I first saw this movie, it's probably one of the best movie's of the '80's along with Planes, Trains, & Automobiles & Little Shop of Horrors. The best thing about this movie is Johnny, the crazy airport worker. If you haven't seen this movie rent it, buy it ,whatever just get it and laaaugh.

Summary: Great Film. Great Cast. Great Extras.
Review: This is what a DVD should be.

This is a film that most people have memorized, so watch it with the director's commentary on. It's just as funny, and now it's fun to find the bloopers that were left in the film.

Great Extras.
