Summary: Painfully Bad
Review: This is one of the worst movies I've seen in years. It's not that I don't enjoy comedies. Some of my favorite comedies over the years have been Blazing Saddles, Caddyshack, Airplane, The Naked Gun, Wayne's World, and South Park. Heck, I even liked There's Something About Mary. But this movie was so bad, so poorly written, and *so* not funny, I actually felt embarrassed for everyone who helped make it. It's no wonder that, despite all the hype it got and celebrity cameos it had, it grossed only 1/4 of what 'Something About Mary did at the box office domestically, and grossed an even lesser percentage worldwide. Perhaps now Ben Stiller realizes there's more to being funny than acting stupid.

Summary: New, Inventive, Hillarious
Review: This movie is fantastic, of course. Would you expect anything different from Stiller, Owen Wilson and Will Farrell? All three of these actors shine, as well as Jerry Stiller (George Costanza's dad in Seinfeld, and Ben's dad). This is an original comedy, that is short, but sweet. Left me wanting more.

Summary: The more I see, the more I like
Review: ...This movie is goofy and ridiculous on the surface but the mode of humor definitely scratched my itch! Will Ferrell and Ben Stiller really milk the over-the-top fashion industry with a python-esque poke at our society.

Thanks for the delicious, clever and off-the-wall satire. Loved it! Christine Taylor is NOT hard on the eyes either...

Summary: Soooo NOT funny!
Review: I don't see what all of the rave reviews are about. 2 Stars is really being too kind. This movie was not funny at all. All else aside, I can't stand Ben Stiller. He is not funny period. I don't know what I was thinking when I watched this movie because it was a total waste of time.

Summary: Earth to amazon! THIS IS A AMAZING MOVIE!!!!!
Review: This movie is sooo good! The casting is perfect, the score is amazing! The jokes are new and are refreshingly funny. The plot is solid which revolves around Derek Zoolander, international supermodel. Evil fashion designer Mugatu is hired by a fashion crime group to make a model assasinate the Malysian Prime Minister who will abolish child labor which will make the price of making clothes increase many times. After Zoolander makes a stupid mistake at the VH1 Fashion Awards Mugatu decides that he will be the one. He then brainwashes Zoolander to kill the Prime Minister when he hears the song "Relax". Zoolander would have killed the prime minister if it wasn't for competing supermodel Hansel who saves the day and turns Mugatu in. The film is phenomenal and I highly recommend it for anyone from 8+.

Summary: The Best Comedy Movie of All Time
Review: Released in theaters just 17 days after the attacks of 9/11, Zoolander was just what America's working man or woman needed. If you are old, stuffy, or scoff at movies that are too simple and aren't great pieces of art, then you would be wasting your time buying this classic movie. Zoolander is a story about how good always prevails and love and happiness and about having a good time in life. The main appeal of this movie is Ben Stiller's brilliant acting. He, along with a cast which includes his whole family, Owen Wilson, Will Ferrel, and David Duchovny, draw us into the world of a male model with almost a negative IQ. You will laugh at his stupidity time and time again if you are not jaded by Kubrick or Scorsesee movies. If you try to have a good time watching this movie, you will. Also, remember to watch it with a few friends so that there will be others besides you who become obsessed with this movie. This way you can share your renditions of Zoolander's dumbest lines over and over again without fear of ridicule from non-watchers. Buy this DVD. Then buy another DVD player after you wear it out from watching Zoolander too many times. I myself have no clue how many times I've seen this movie, I lost count after 20!

Summary: unleash the look
Review: a very funny, highly original movie, the extras alone show the time and thought Ben Stiller has taken into the creation of the Zoolander character, spoof documentaries are a big bonus, and the outtakes and alternative takes, offer an intriguing look at the movies creation.
Many touches of brilliance, some great cameos, and lots of double takes on celebrity fashion and the media.
Owen Wilson is perfect as the foil.

relax! go to it.

Summary: Rubbish for the gormless masses
Review: Seeing all the positive reviews for this movie finally explains to me how SNL manages to stay on the air. I can't imagine a movie with less redeeming qualities than this. Whether it is the paper thin plot, the ridiculously bad script/dialogue, its utter predictability, its complete inability to be funny, or clever, or the poor acting. It's really nothing more than an orgy of B-list cameos, punctuated by the worst jokes assembled since Jerry Lewis stopped making movies (thank the gods!).

Ben Stillers ability to make a decent movie seems to be completely arbitrary, and this movie is a perfect example of too much creative leeway. Oh, if only the producers could have reigned him in. I guess, in the end, there was so little story here that they had to put as much filler in as they could manage. I can't remember a single point in this movie that my lips parted, and even the hint of a laugh escaped. What I do remember is a lot of looking at my watch, and wondering how such garbage of irredeemably low quality can be invested in. ...

This movie just fails in every regard to be funny to me. I like comedies, and I love to laugh; but I can't stand rubbish like this. If you, like me, don't think SNL has been funny in the last eight years, then I strongly recommend that you avoid this movie at all costs. Even if you're in the mood for a bad movie, it still does not qualify! If however, you do think SNL is clever, witty, or poignant satire of contemporary society, then you will love this movie; it's right at your level, and I do hope you enjoy it because you deserve each other.

Summary: I was so surprised!
Review: I saw Zoolander because someone recommended it to me when I mentioned that I really wanted to see a comedy that didn't have the disgusting elements of Austin Powers (which doesn't even back up disgusting with funny) or Scary Movie (just plain ...). I didn't really think I would like Zoolander, but I took a chance and I loved it!

I won't even attempt to describe the movie, as there are a surprising number of little plot complexities and I don't want to ruin the movie for the potential watcher. I'll just say that you have male models, vacuous empty brains, assisins, and tons of great eighties music. The whole thing is funny and ridiculous and doesn't even try to pretend that it's anything else.

Some of the best stuff, though, is the extras on the DVD version. The VH1 fashion awards clips are hysterical as are the 'public service announcements' and a lot more. The extras alone are worth watching.
