Summary: Bittersweet, uplifting, and utterly charming!
Review: This is the original, and the best of the three original Muppet Movies. Following this was THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER and THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN. Those are also very good, but THE MUPPET MOVIE is by far the best for many reasons. Not only does it make a wonderful family film, but a good film to watch with your loved one. This movie contains the best cast of Celebrity Cameos, has the most memorable moments, and is an important movie, due to the story of Kermit the Frog and friends pursuing their dreams of going to stardom in Hollywood. It inspires us as young viewers to have a dream and to pursue it without ever giving up. Last reason, and the best reason as to why this film is so great is the soundtrack. I personally love THE RAINBOW CONNECTION song at the beginning. It is such a beautiful song. It is so bittersweet and most of the time when I hear it, it makes me cry. What are you waiting for? Buy this wonderful film now!

In a way kermit achieved his dream of making it big in Hollywood. this is a true blue classic! this film was direct by Jim Frawley (The Monkees) He has a cameo in the bar scene. Passing out Frog Legs to a couple at a table... Watch for it.

Summary: A Must-Own
Review: This is one of the first movies I remember seeing as a child. I used to watch it tirelessly, and even owned the movie soundtrack. Dennis Hopper and Steve Martin are fantastic in this movie, and the humor isn't just for kids. I'm 22, and I still LOVE this movie (it's one of my favorites). A timeless classic, and a view of the real genius of Jim Henson.

Summary: Still a winner - on its way to Classic
Review: My husband & I took my nine year old sister to this movie on one of our first dates! Now our kids are watching it on video. This is one that will definately stand the test of time & I'm sure my grandchildren will be watching it. I still love the "fork in the road" & "gone with the Schwinn"!

Summary: The fork in the road sequence
Review: This was the first film that many members of my generation can remember seeing at a actual theater since we were the generation before video took off. The sight of Gonzo's head comig out of that building? Who can forget that. But the funniest sequence was the fork in the road. I still laugh at that. This film is dear to me and yes, I am sentimental.

Summary: Perfect for kids of all ages...
Review: My 20 month old son adores this movie, as do I. We have watched it once a week for the past year. Kermit and the gang have a way of captivating an audience, no matter how young or old. The movie was well-produced, and having "real life" actors, like Steve Martin, makes the movie complete. More muppets in the new millenium, please!

Summary: Let's see these titles on DVD!
Review: A fantastic film, and unique in holding something for any age group. Often dismissed as a film for kids only, it contains passages that only adults could truly appreciate, most notably Rowlf's meditation with Kermit on relationships.

But not available on DVD? And the Great Muppet Caper isn't available at all? AAAAAAAARRRRRGH! I am glad that the Henson kids are safeguarding their father's legacy, but the number of Muppet films, videos, and records that are out of print is simply staggering.

Come on, you guys, get these films pressed to disc post haste!

Summary: The Muppets Rock!
Review: I saw this movie in the theaters when I was very young and I loved it from the start. I just bought it to share with own daughter (2 yrs) and it is wonderful to watch her entranced with the film as I was at her age. It is an awesomely creative debut for the Muppets! There are memorable songs and marvelous characters to keep you still from beginning to end. I still get misty in the grand finale with all of the Muppets singing. I am sorry Jim Henson is no longer with us to continue such creative endeavors.

Summary: An all-time film classic!
Review: This is undoubtedly one film that will forever be remembered with the likes of Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, Lawrence of Arabia, and even Star Wars. It has one of the most memorable songs of all time and a cast of frogs, dogs, bears, pigs, and whatever. Non-stop fun from beginning to end with an all-star human cast as well. This is the finest achievement in all Muppet-dom.

Summary: A Message From Mr. Movie Buff
Review: A wonderful debut for the Muppets on the silver screen! The Muppet Movie starts out when Kermit meets a big-time talent agent in a swamp. He persuades Kermit to follow his dream and that's exactly what Kermit does. On the way to Hollywood, Kermit meets up with Fozzie, Piggy, Gonzo, and Rolf the dog to name a few- who join him along the way too! But Doc Hopper has his own plans for Kermit, and lures a trap for him, that Kermit walks right into! An excellent directed film, the movie was a landmark in motion pictures as it became the first movie to star the Muppets. I still love the song "Rainbow Connection," and it still cheers me up to this day when I hear it. Truely, and excellent movie for all ages.
