Summary: THE END IS NEAR
Review: I can't honestly give any of the episodes on TV five stars except the Hunting episode, "BIRD!", and this movie certainly isn't going to get 5 either. In my own opinion this movie is nowhere near Blazing Saddles, AIRPLANE!, or The Blues Brothers. I am somewhat in awe it has the high ratings it does. Have you people seen Blazing Saddles, AIRPLANE! or The Blues Brothers? How can you put it in the same category? Anyway, to dissect it. The intro song is good, I will give it that. Cartman has a few good lines throughout as usual. Saddam and Satan are funny. But for the most part .... for the most part the vulgarity is simply another aspect of a degenerate culture. You guys can do better and you know it. Remember the script for AIRPLANE! was written and rewritten for years before it was made into a full fledged B movie. Please take your time on the next one. I assume you have enough cash now that you will do it for artistic license and not simply to cash in

Summary: South Park
Review: The jokes are funny but that's not why you laugh. You're laughing at yourself for being entertained by something so over the top and vulgar that you're reminded at the sheer innocent five year old joy you had when you heard the word "doody" for the first time at kindergarten recess. Southpark is an exhilarating experience, it's funny and witty but that's not all, it sweeps you off your feet and your jaw drops at the pure manic energy the creators throw at you.

But it's more than adrenaline. It's satire, it's Mac Flecknoe and Modest Proposal rolled into one with a modern twist. It suggests that critics of contemporary culture are vulgar, their motives confused and contrived and it's about how they become obsessively controlling. But it's not one sided. The demonic corruption of young minds is shown in such honest way that you can't help thinking that the censors have a point too. The boys have foul mouths because they've picked it up from television, and that's true, but there's more to it. They're rebelling because they know that the world of taboo entertainers, the ones that corporations won't sponsor, are the only people on TV that aren't bought out and packaged to children for profit. And these are children. They're confused as to why some words are wrong and others aren't. It's not because they're naivee but because no one has been able to give them a real answe.

It's an incredibly intelligent movie. The direction is near flawless and the musical numbers near brilliant. But we won't really be able to tell now. We'll have to wait 50 years and see if we've made any ground on the free speech vs. morality argument debate. We'll look back at this film, when the jokes aren't fresh or risky anymore, and be thankful that someone back then had the insanity to expose it all.

Summary: Brillant satire of modern life in America
Review: This is the best feature length film ever made. Comedic geniuses Trey Parker and Matt Stone are at their finest. They point out the fallacies and hypocrisy of our society. The... poor parenting, that is widely accepted, is displayed in it's true form. The music is superb and the Disneyesque overtones are fantastic.

Displaying Satan as a likable battered "spouse" is a master stroke of Biblical accuracy. The mothers blaming Canada for their children's behavior is incredibly insightful of today's parents.

The government, schools, medical profession, entertainment industry, church, and family are all under attack in this movie. And for all the right reasons.

Definitely a must see!

Summary: I must recant.
Review: Well, my previous review of this movie was nothing short of an unending tirade about the price-to-features ratio. But Sweet Crispety Christ, I bought it anyway. I hadn't watched it in months (adamantly not watching vhs tapes and not buying featureless dvd's) and I up and forgot how funny it was. I said earlier that without any special features it wasn't worth the 30 bucks ... well, the joke-machinegun that this movie shoots you with repeatedly is more than worth the tag. Buy now. Operators are standing by. Hail Satan.

Summary: Great movie
Review: Lots of people have been saying that this offensive to Christians, and that South Park is the anti-Christ. Lighten up, enjoy the movie for what it is, a comedy. Besides, the things that have been done in the name of religion are so much worse than anything in this movie!

Summary: Beautiful Satire
Review: South Park is probably one of the greatest satires, and the greatest musical, in motion picture history. It takes an extremely vulgar, yet true look at society. For those who think this movie is bad just because of the bashing of God, and consider it an immoral movie, you are too narrow-minded to understand the true meanings behind the movie, which, by the way, are the evils of censorship within modern society.

Summary: AntiChrist of Cartoons
Review: This trash speaks about God in the most disrespectful way. If your a christian avoid this film and don't let your kids talk you into buying or renting it. South Park is the AntiChrist of Cartoons!

Summary: Garbage:Intelligence of the movie is impaired or none!
Review: First of all this movie is a bunch of insensitive garbage. This stuff is childish compared to an even trashier film "Scary Movie"! The dialog is nothing but swearing. Any moron can swear. This show is just plain offensive and biggotory of the creator He or she is very ignorant of talent, humor and creativity!

Summary: Good Movie, Bad Price.
Review: I guess people are starting to think that I can only find faults in DVD's ... but I can also find fault in the pricing! South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut one of the funniest movies of the 90's, but there's no justification for the... price tag. This DVD has no special features aside from three or four trailers, yet they feel justified pricing it above Fight Club, which has more goodies than you can shake a stick at. I go to Target, Amazon, Best Buy, whatever, and I see... dvd's with more features. I just don't think the price tag justifies the lack of features, so I'll stop before this evolves into a whirling maw of the same repeated complaint.
