Summary: One of the best movies Murray made!
Review: This movie was awesome. Psycho was the coolest. Lighten up Francis. But This definetely beats movies like Ghostbusters and WHat about Bob?. So get this movie right away. You'll laugh at every little dumb thing.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The cold war comedy that ended the cold war.
Review: Bill Murray fans have to see this movie! Bill is in full goofy mode for the better part of the film. John Candy, Harold Ramis and John Larroquette provide plenty of laughs as well. Murray always seems at his best when working with Ivan Reitman, and this is no exception.

If you like military comedy. If you like comedy in general. If you just wanna see John Candy mud wrestle a couple of women. This is the movie for you.

Summary: Funniest Movie I Have Ever Seen!
Review: A riot of a movie. It will keep you laughing from start to finish. Two messups join the Army because they cannot make it in the civilian world. They immediately collode with the drill seargent who is well played by Warren Oates. The sergeant is hurt during basic training. The troop that the two messups belong to makes it through the graduation exercises and land a plun assignment(by a miracle). They are then stationed overseas to work with a new assault vehicle. They go joyriding. Their commanders go looking for them and are captured by the Russians. The messups save them with the assault vehicle. It is hilarious. This movie should be in the comedy hall of fame. Be sure to see it.

Summary: Classic, the ultimate Bill Murray flick
Review: Absolutely one of the funniest movies ever made. It would definitely have to be highly ranked, if only for the fact that it is possibly the most quoted movie of all time. Who among us has never said "Lighten up, Francis" or "You can't leave, all the plant are gonna die! ". Bill Murray is at his best, and Harold Ramis is the perfect straight man for him. Add in a supporting cast that includes John Candy, Judge Rheinhold, John Laroquette and Sean Young, and you have something pretty special. Also, gains points for the fact that it doesn't start to fade out at the end, like many comedies do when the decide to get "message-y". It just keeps up the energy and humor right up to (and including) the credits. To this day, the only movie I have ever enjoyed so much that I went right back to see it the very next night.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An entertaining comedy.
Review: Bill Murray and Harold Ramis gives Engaging Performances in this comedy. Direct by Ivan Reitman(Ghost Busters 1&2,Six Days Seven Nights). Including Good Supporting Performances by Warren Oates, P.J. Soles(Carrie,Halloween), Sean Young, The Late John Candy & John Larroquette.

Small Roles including, John Diehl(Star Gate) and Judge Reinhold(Beverly Hills Cop Trilogy). Cameos also including Comedian from SCTV-Joe Flaherty & Dave Thomas. Watch for Timothy Busfield & Bill Paxton. Grade:B+.

Summary: That's the fact, Jack!
Review: To me, this movie has always seemed like two movies.

The FIRST movie is the Murray and Ramis characters being frustrated in the rut they find themselves in, their decision to enlist, and their grand Boot Camp Adventure. Climaxed by Boot Camp Graduation. I would unhesitatingly give THAT movie five stars. John Candy is classic as the "Lean Mean Fighting Machine," as are Warren Oates as "Sergeant Hulka," and whoever-the-dude-is who plays "Francis the Psycho."

But then the SECOND movie kicks in... the European Motorhome Adventure. Less classic comedy, more "action adventure." But also much more mundane and "formula." The second half only merits 1-2 stars.

This movie isn't bad, but doesn't hold a candle to other comedy classics of the era.

Summary: pretty good film
Review: Bill Murray& Harold Ramis give funny performances in this film.but overall it feels like one long skit from SNL.though it makes the ARMY look cool.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: WAY too overrated!
Review: Okay, I guess I'm the only one out there who doesn't like this movie. Well, it's not that I don't LIKE it, it's just that it is not funny at all. Now I love the next SNL-cast movie as anyone else, but this is pathetic. It's not a drama, and it sure isn't comedy. It's just........THERE. If you're DYING to see a good Bill Murray film, see Groundhog Day or Scrooged. Skip this. This is NOT a classic that "the army doesn't want you to see" (as Comedy Central advertises). I mean, why the hell do you think they don't want you to see it?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: If our army was like this, we wouldn't be a world power!
Review: A very funny film about two close friends who aren't really making it in civilian life; so they decide to make something of themselves by joining the army. This movie makes the most out of a great blend of the funniest actors at that time; including Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and the late John Candy. A great comedic plot combined with some adult situations and nudity make for quite an entertaining film.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Classic Murray Film
Review: I think it's every Americans duty to watch Stripes at least once in their lives. Then you will think twice about wanting to join the army.
