Review: ... I have seen this movie twice(the day it came out and today) and I loved it! I tought that all of the actors did realy great in there roles, especialy shaggy he was un-real! the actors also did a wonderful job of makeing you believe that they where actualy talking to the computer animated Scooby Doo(who actualy looks pretty real, for Scooby Doo). All in all I thought it was a great movie, and it was verry funny! some... have said that the story looks just like an hour and a half version of the cartoon, but it wouldn't be Scooby Doo if it wernt!In the movie the characatures are more developed, the plot is also better and more funny! anyway I realy liked this movie and highly suggest that everyone, GO SEE IT!

Summary: Not a complete discrace to the Scooby Doo legend
Review: First off, they did a good job casting. Freddie Prinze Jr. is just stupid and vain enough to be the actual Fred. Sarah Michelle Gellar... well, I like her anyway, she plays the part given to her well, even if it wasn't a great part.Linda Cardellini looks like Velma a lot, and sounds a bit like her too. Then of course there's Matthew Lillard, who is worth the admission price for his dead-on portrayal of Shaggy. The plot was good, I thought. Like the "new cartoons," the monsters are real, and the plot twist at the end is like a comedic version of "The Sixth Sense." I like how the movie was given dimension. The women do more than just stand there, and they solve the case. Sure, Daphne was never a ditz in the cartoon, but at least she's a real character now. I especially like the ending. Good ending, funny ending.

Summary: Hillarious!!!!
Review: Well I just saw this movie 10 minutes ago, and I gotta tell you that it's hillarious! It's definately one of the best movies ever made. If you didn't like the cartoon, you'll definately love this! If you loved the cartoon, well be ready for a shock because you will never guess who the villian is. Both fans and non fans will enjoy this movie. It's on the list of movies to see. 1) Star Wars Episode II 2) Spider-Man 3)Lord of the Rings: Two Towers 4) SCOOBY-DOO! It's better than all the other movies that are out right now except for Spider-man and Star Wars. Bring the kids and go have a great time. If you see one movie this summer see Star Wars, but if you are going to see two movies see Scooby Doo!

Summary: A good effort, with a few minor problems that add up
Review: Scooby-Doo was a strange movie: it was mainly marketed towards children, yet the plot was suprisingly complex. In the movie, the Mystery Inc. gang splits up, and then is reunited two years later when all the former members get wonderful offers to come and solve a mystery at Spooky Island Amusement Park. The problem is, they think they're all working seperatley, and they all get the same offer.
They get to the park and soon enough, chaos ensues. The group just starts working together when they are unwillingly seperated from each other when Fred and Velma are kidnapped. I won't give away any more plot, except for the fact that Scrappy Doo is involved. That was my biggest gripe: Scrappy's role is extremely cheesy, and his sudden involvement in the plot is a little far-fetched.
The movie gets in a few decent laughs, especially when Scooby dresses up as Shaggy's grandmother to get on a flight. But there are some periods when the theater is just too quiet.
The acting is good, except for Freddie Prinze Jr.'s performance, which was just average. The rest of the cast, ESPECIALLY the girl who plays Velma(her name slips my mind)and Matthew Lillard and Shaggy are great. I really wish that Velma would have gotten more screen time.
Overall, Scooby-Doo was a good movie- I'll probably buy it on video when it's released.

Review: Scooby-Doo is THE best movie of all time! Each charactor had the same aspects and charactoristics as the cartoon. The graphics were so real that you couldn't tell that they were animated. Children under the age of seven wouldn't apriciate the movie because of the darkness and monsters. I don't think that movie could get any better. I suggest that you go see it today.

Summary: "Run, Scoob - to the Concession Stand!"
Review: It's way overblown (the music score, especially), uneven, and has about enough plot to fill a thimble with room left over for an elephant's foot. Aside from that, it's great fun. Mystery, Inc. has been disbanded for two years, everyone being fed-up with fatuous Fred's glory-hogging ego (he does lecture tours to promote his new book, "Fred On Fred"). Independently, its members are invited to the Spooky Island theme park, run by a weird guy named Mondavarious (Rowan Atkinson, who is a cartoon, himself), and find themselves reluctantly reunited to solve the mystery of why so many teenagers leave the park different than when they came. They have a harder time than usual because they have their differences to get over, and also because - for once - their quarry isn't a guy in a cheap rubber mask, but something (gulp!) actually supernatural. It's about as good as it sounds, performing like junior Ghostbusters, and with the same kind of look and effects. The production is gorgeous, but the action is so busy with set pieces and dog-like demons that it's hard to absorb it all. The cast couldn't be better. Freddie Prinze, Jr., plays Freddie as a pretty-boy comical jerk, and Sarah Michelle Gellar is a delightful ditz as danger-prone Daphne, who is so dumb and vulnerable that "she comes with her own pre-written ransom note." Atkinson is typically splendid as the comical theme park owner. The real (human) stars are Linda Cardellini as brainy fashion disaster Velma, and Matthew Lillard as the cowardly eating-machine, Shaggy - they have the look and voices down so well, you'd swear you were actually watching the cartoon and not a movie based on it. And Scooby? He's GREAT. Best cartoony CGI you could hope to see, and brilliantly done to interact with the live cast. Scrappy Doo even has a couple cameos, in which he is made terrific sport of. Is there anyone in the world who doesn't hate Scrappy Doo? The producers know there isn't, so they make the most of it. He isn't even a real puppy - he's "glandularly challenged," just a nasty little midget dog who delights in being obnoxious and peeing on Daphne whenever he feels like it. The best thing about this movie is that it's great for kids, but is sufficiently sophisticated and clever that any adults accompanying them to the theater will have a good time. The humor is sometimes forced, but when the movie is genuinely funny, it's very, very funny. It's hardly great. It's Scooby Doo, for cryin' out loud. But it is good, and quite enjoyable. And, come on - is there anyone, really, who doesn't like Shag and Scoob? Really? If for no other reason, it's worth the price of admission just to spend a little quality (eating) time with two of everybody's oldest friends from childhood. What are you waiting for? Race Shag and Scoob to the concession stand! ("Ro-ray, Raggy! Rooby-Rooby-Roo!")

Review: Ok, so I loved the cartoons, and still watch them whenever I see one on tv. I thought that the movie lived up to the cartoons, and even surpassed. All of the actors were wonderful, especially Sarah Michelle Gellar!
