Summary: A Delightful Treat!
Review: I heard alot of mixed reveiws on Scooby Doo and was unsure of weather or not it would be good or not.Well most of the critics were wrong because this was a good movie.Believe it or not the jokes were pretty funny and the gags were good.The 4 star rating reason was because there was some unnessacery bad fart jokes that I found useless and unnesscery.The Plot:2 years ago Mystery Inc broke up after all becoming tired of solving mysteries over and over again.When they all get invited to Spooky Island 2 years later a brand new adventure begins.The owner of Spooky Island is conviced that someone is casting a spell on the island because when people leave the island they are zombies.In an engrossing adventure featuring haunted houses and the spirts of real people there is not a dull moment.Even to the gang untill Scooby's nephrew Scrappy Doo comes and causes trouble to all. Scooby Doo was a very funny and enteraining movie that is not at all like the cartoon which is anthor downfall of the movie.Except for the excellant accent made by Matthrew Lilard as Shaggy.Scooby Doo is fun for the whole family. ENJOY!

Summary: This deserves one star a great begining
Review: I was a fan of the old cartoon when I was young. I also liked most live action film of old cartoons. It began great after the first five minutes I decided I would like this film. I got worse and worse as it went aloung. I hated those monsters they were stupid and fake. Then we got into soul snatching and peoples souls geting put in a bowl. There were lots of swearing and bad jokes littered everywhere. The worst was what this movie did to Scrappy. Scappy is not the cute puppy we remember him. In this movie he is evil and insane. Bring back the old Scrappy. I hate this movie for what it did to our beloved childhold charactors. We even hear Scrappy call the other members Sons of you know what. Horrible insane stupid. This movie should flop for its awful interpertation of classic charactors especially good old Scrappy.

Summary: Scooby doobie Dooooooooooo
Review: I've always loved Scooby Doo. I couldnt wait to see the film and I wasnt let down. As soon as the film started I knew I was gonna love every mintue of it. Sarah Michelle Geller was great as Daphne but Freddie wasnt that good. They guy who played Shaggy was sooooo good and I loved Scooby Doo sooooo much....he made me tearful at the end hehe.
I would say everyone should see this. It's good 4 little kids but also grown up's who havent grown up hehe. I have a little kids mind when it comes to Scooby Doo and I would see it again son. Its has something for everyone and well its Scooby Doobie Doooooooooo

Summary: Laugh Out Loud!
Review: This movie provides great family entertainment. Being a loyal Scooby fan, it was a lot of fun to see the characters come alive in the silver screen. Though, there was some dissapointments especially with Mr. Prinze Jr. They could've found a better, in-character Fred. Freddie does not fit the role and his blond hair looks awful. He didn't look so hot as a blondie. As for Shaggy, thumbs-up for Matthew Lillard. He really lived up to the audience expectations! The girls, Velma and Daphne, they were OK.. although i thought it was unfair that Daphne could change outfits every few scenes! Anyway, Linda looked HOT in the V-neck...
Scooby? Not much i say about him..he's made of computer effects. So, anyway, it was a fun movie and i came out of the theatre..smiling.

Summary: Scooby Doo, totally fun!
Review: When Mystery Inc. again solves another mystery, the gang splits up for reasons of their own. Velma (Linda Cardellini) is tired of not getting any credit for her brain-work, Fred (a blonde Freddie Prinze Jr.) arrogantly thinks himself better working alone, and Daphne (Sara Michelle Gellar) has had it with her 'damsel-in-distress' part. Only Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) and Scooby Doo (voice by Neil Fanning) is left heart-broken. But a few years later, the whole gang is invited to Spooky Island to investigate the mysterious going-ons and the strange behavior of the students who visit there. Of course the Scooby Gang wants to solve the mystery without the help of the others but in the end, the discover that the only way they would ever solve the mystery is to work together. But it will not be easy as clue by clue, the gang discovers a sinister plot to rule the world!
*PLOT* "Scooby Doo" is certainly now one of my favorite movies of all time! The plot is all familiar with all people; a team breaks up only at the end to work together to save the world (or something like that). But that plot never seems to get old since "Scooby Doo" is incredibly fun to watch! The teen music is pretty cool to listen to, too! *ACTING* The acting is just stunning to watch! Since I've seen many of the Scooby Doo cartoons, it was so much fun to see all the actors and actresses playing the cartoon characters to perfection! Probably I was most impressed with Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, his voice was exactly the same as in the cartoon and even his actions and expressions were perfect! But of course all the characters were terrific, even the computer dog Scooby. *GRAPHICS AND ACTION* The computer graphics were stunning, from the spooky ghosts to the scary creatures, and we mustn't forget the lovable Scooby! Plenty of action at the end, too. My favorite action scenes are, 1) Daphne showing her new martial arts skills and 2) Fred's plahing around comes in handy as he handles a bunch of bad guys. *HUMOR* But of course the best thing about the movie is the incredibly funny humor! None of the jokes are hard to catch while there is some slapstick humor. But of course the movie is rated PG because of some humor. So, put it all together and we have a very entertaining movie! I just cannot wait for "Scooby Doo" to come out on DVD! And, if the rumors are correct, I'm looking forward to "Scooby Doo 2"!

Summary: Hate It!
Review: I hate this movie so much because this is the only movie I had to leave the theatre before in my life. I even stayed for Showgirls and that shows you how bad this movie was. There is not to much to explain bad acting no scipt and not a good storyline if thats what you want to call it. if anyone even remembers the original Scooby they would know Scrappy wasn't hated by them or even that he would be the evil guy. This is not worth your money or time please don't waste 1 hour and a half on this movie. Thank You.

(Mr.Bean)invites them to the spooky island in Austrialla to slove the case of someone stealing peoples souls! I loved the scene that had Mark Mcgrath of Sugar Ray-in the part
where it shows the gang you just hear the music from their song and then Sugar Ray is on the screen-I was really exicted-I was like its Sugar Ray! (I ordered the Sugar Ray cd) The ending will surpise you! So I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves Scooby Doo-you will not be dissapointed! WHAT ARE YOU DOING MAN? OH NO-LIKE THERES A GHOST RIGHT BEHIND ME OR SOMETHING? AHH!

Summary: Scooby Dooby DO!
Review: I saw this film twice and loved it both times. A great movie for the whole family, it truely embodies the original the best it can. I don't think a better job could have been done, but of course someone isn't gonna like it. Ignore those people and go watch a VERY talented group of actors bring to life your favorite Saturday morning cartoon. The story is pretty basic: After getting into a disagreement, the group decides to break up and all go their seperate ways, with the exception of Scooby Doo and Shaggy who stick together no matter what. A year (I believe) passes by and they all get an invitation to Zombie Island to find out why all the college kids who go there for fun leave the island seemingly posessed. Having to overlook their differences and work together as a team, I feel this movie has more heart and sincerity than one might expect. Especially Scooby and Shaggy's friendship which is tested by a very pretty girl and of course lots of Scooby snacks. Everyone of all ages will enjoy this movie which has enough silly jokes to please the kids and alot of tongue in cheek jokes for the adults who've always wondered about Shaggy's drug use, Velma's sexuality and what was REALLY going on when Fred and Daphne always split from the group. With lots of cameos, lots of laughs, lots of special effects and a heart warmingly light story about friendship, Scooby Doo is a must for any fan.

Summary: A Special Treat
Review: Scooby Doo followed the cartoon wonderfully. The characters were perfect, their actions were perfect, and the story was perfect. It was a true Scooby Doo mystery, with a little twist at the end. Scooby Doo was fun, and hilarious. It still is about loyalty, friendship, and teamwork....Well, and the added monster or two. Any fan, young or old, or anyonw looking for a good movie, this is the one.

Summary: A nice bit of knowing humour
Review: Okay, so first off, this isn't a masterpiece of modern cinema because that isn't the idea. Those that dismiss 'Scooby-Doo' as throwaway don't seem to understand that this is the idea. The set-up begins marvellously with a cameo from Pamela Anderson as a satisfied customer of Mystery Inc. After this the group - all intact, Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, Fred and Velma - go their separate ways following a huge bust-up. Two years later they are forced together after all being invited to uncover the mystery of Spooky Island theme park, presided over by Rowan Atkinson. It seems all the kids there are being taken over by zombies, making them into ideal 'cool' kids. Hats off to whoever chose the cast, all of which are perfect for their role. Matthew Lillard was born to play Shaggy, honing the voice to perfection as well as his goofy demeanour; he will make you believe a whole lot more than the CGI animation that Scooby really does exist. Linda Cardinelli is a real treat as well, casting aside her good looks to play the geeky role with a real passion. A lot of people seemed to have dismissed Gellar and Prinze Jr. as pointless. Whilst it's true they could have been utilised more (indeed, being the star names you'd think they would have been) they are still crucial. Although some have complained that she isn't playing Daphne, the fact that she has changed her image of damsel in distress to a black belt in karate adds a neat postmodern twist to the story. As for Freddie, I was prepared to hate him having previously sat through such horrors as 'She's All That', but he really is ideal for this role. His image of a pretty boy is perfect for riffing when we see Fred look at himself lovingly in the mirror. Hopefully though this will do a lot for the careers of lesser known stars Lillard (so good anyway in 'Scream' and 'The Curve') and Cardinelli. There have also been complaints about Scooby being to much like a cartoon, an issue that is redundant when it's clear that the whole movie is meant to be a live-action cartoon. This is constantly emphasised with huge, bright set pieces and special effects that see Scooby disappear leaving a dog-shaped line of smoke behind. What makes it most fun for retro fans though, and something that will the older members of the audience are the constant and wonderfully precise references to the old cartoon. Any fan will be in hysterics in the teaser sequence where the villain says he would have 'gotten away with it if it wasn't for you pesky kids', when Velma roots on the floor for her glasses or when Fred tells everyone to split up when they've just found each other. To sum up, for the most part this is gloriously watchable (excepting an excruciating scene where Shaggy and Scooby have a competition to see who can break wind the loudest), colourful and as close to the cartoon as you could hope to get. Plus there's the comeuppance of Scrappy-Doo that anyone who was forced to sit through 'puppy power' slogans will revel in. This is the kind of lighthearted, often very funny movie with pitch-perfect performances that most people will enjoy. Don't believe the bad reviews.
