Summary: Very fun!
Review: I really enjoyed this movie, and the visuals are great. The story is very fun, as well as quite touching, and it was nice to see the two girls (Lilo and her sister, Nana) represented as real people, proportionally, rather than stereotypical female forms. My only complaint, which applies to several of Disney's other recent movies, is that they have made their animated movies into movies rather than musicals. No one sings in this movie! Grr! However, I still recommend it, particularly for pre-teen, teenage girls (lots of empowerment!).

Summary: EXCELLENT! Disney at it's Best!
Review: If you want to go see a great animated film for the WHOLE Family, go see Lilo and Stitch! Not, Hey Arnold!
Lilo and Stitch is a WONDERFUL Movie! It has it's happy moments, sad moments, and just hilarious moments!
Lilo and Stitch has GREAT animation, a lot better than Atlantis! The backgrounds are Lovely too! Just because it is set in the lovely land of Hawaii, isn't the only reason the backgrounds are so lovely, it is also due to the fact that all of the backgrounds are painted (this has not been done since Dumbo!)! The songs are also lovely, and fitting! They show a lot of respect to the land of Hawaii, with the Hawaiian songs, and all of the Elvis songs!
Lilo and Stitch follows the story of Expierement 626 (Stitch), and the life of a small broken up family of Lilo and her sister Nani. When Stitch gets away from the Galactic Federation, he goes to Earth, Hawaii. When Lilo sees the "shooting star" she makes a wish for a friend, because she feels no one understands her. Little does she know she'll pick a little blue alien, who everyone is afraid of! After that, Nani, who is having enough troubles as it is of keeping Lilo and her together, she looses her job. When Lilo trys to teach Stitch to be good, she's actually hurting Nani get a job, because Stitch causes only mischeif!! So what else happens?? Lets just say it ends out like all Classic Disney Movies! A Happy ending! However, there is more in between, so go see it!!! It's WONDERFUL!!
Lilo and Stitch is a film that uses many other resources! For instance, it starts out like Star Wars, the social worker looks like he's from Men in Black. These were the main points that I have found!
In conclusion, this film must have taken ages to complete! It must have taken a lot of time and energy to finalize the plans and ideas for this great movie! Lilo and Stitch is a great movie that was not put together quickly, just to make money! They put a lot of Heart in it too!!
WHAT A GREAT DISNEY MOVIE!!!

Summary: Too obvious, too mindless, too tedious
Review: Title "Stitch" must come from the method obviously employed writing the screenplay, blatent unimaginative stitching of commercially successful stories - ET, Monsters Inc., Gremlins, etc. Doesn't work. In contrast to the wonderfully original Spirit: Stallion of the Cimerron, never once reaches the audience on an deep emotional level. Nothing more than a long, tedious cartoon. Hardly surprising the previews included an upcoming Disney appropriation of Stuart Little - just changing the mouse into a Bear!

Summary: Who Expected This Film To Have A Lot Of Heart!
Review: Milo & Stich was a completely pleasant surprise. It was at its very best a film with a lot of heart. It may touch home with a lot of children with either single parents or orphans of all kinds.

The film was funny and faced past when the action sequences started but the root of it all was the passion the littlest sister had - Lilo. And the chemistry between her and her big sister Nani was very real and very funny.

Stitch himself was mean and ruthless at first, but the whole point of this movie is that behind every gray cloud - there is a silver lining. Stich learns to communicate and more importantly learns about feelings and family. And guess what? Stich learns the magic that is Elvis Presley. The sequences with Elvis music and the Elvis Lesson are very cute and charming. An Elvis fan should get a kick out of this one. Alan Silvestri (Back To The Future) did a really good Hawaiian Score for the film.

Of course it ends on a happy note and when I saw it last night (6-26-02) at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA - the audience cheered! Everyone should definitely go see this one. It is a good family film. This is defiantly a film I will add to my DVD collection when it is released. I hope it has a lot of extras!

Summary: Amazing!
Review: This was a really great movie; cuteness and humor, science-fiction and action, family values and strong morals...this movie really has everything. It's about time there was a Disney movie with a six-legged maniacal alien mutant landing in such a beautiful place as Kaua`i and disguising himself as a puppy...Stitch is definetely one of my favorite Disney characters, and this movie is my favorite traditional annual Disney feature since The Lion King. I'm 18 and I saw it twice...:) Great for all ages. Go see this movie, you won't regret it!

Summary: Best movie ever!
Review: The movie Lilo & Stitch has it all! Comedy, suspense, action, sci-fi, a little bit of drama, and was even heartwarming! Shows that the power of love can overpower even space-age genetic programming :)! The only problem is I thought they came a little to close to going over the top with the three-legged character 'Pleakley'. The so-called 'earth expert' gets all of his information from a view-master and believes that earth is a protected habitat for mosquitos, which Pleakley also believes is an endangered species. Very weird, if you don't beleive me, look out for the scene where a swarm of mosquitos attacks him.

But they somehow managed to not make the movie go over the top in oddness. If Amazon.com let me, I would give it 999,999,999 stars! :)

In all, Lilo and Stitch is an instant classic which will warm many hearts, while invoking immesurable laughter, and the wonderful ending will bring "happy tears" to the eyes of many people.

Summary: Much More than Sci-Fi
Review: Movies from Disney are either great and will be up being nominated for an academy award or are mediocre and will bomb at the box office. "Lilo and Stitch" is one of the great Disney films and is the best in the last few years. This is a science fiction film that has lots and lots of good messages. Just because the film is animated does not mean that this film is bad; in fact, it's the exact opposite. The animation is great, the same quality that is in all other Disney classics. The voices were great and lots of emphasis were put on certain things and throughout the movie I was thinking that the animation and voices went together so well that this wasn't an animation at all, but it is, of course.

The story is as follows. The movie starts off with a prologue on the planet Turo in a council that will determine the fate of a scientist that created an evil monstrosity, none other than Stitch. Stitch escapes from the planet and the scientist and a friend of his go and start a quest to find them. Everybody ends up on planet Earth, on a Hawaiian island. It is here that Lilo adopts Stitch thinking that he is a real dog and clueless as to knowing that he is an alien. This is the setup for one of the best Disney films.

Lilo and her older sister live by themselves in a house, but you have no clue as to what happened to the family. It may have taken place after World War Two and the family could have dies during the war, a car accident, who knows? That is for you to decide. Since Lilo and her sister are staying by themselves, a social worker is constantly checking up on them. This film accurately portrays what it is like for a family to be under the pressure of somebody like this. It also shows the pros and cons of having a social worker check up on people, but at the end of the movie you'll probably be for the social worker and his or her motives.

This film is a bit of a tribute to the Late Elvis Presley as many of his songs are played throughout the film. Besides the Hawaiian music the Elvis rock and roll is basically the only other music that is here.

Most of the film follows a Hawaiian saying, "ohana." This phrase means none to be forgotten. In English the term means family, and this little motto is a great thing to go through life with. In the film the phrase goes toward keeping Stitch and events that happen at the end of the film.

This wonderful animation shows what it is like on a Hawaiian island and shows some parts of the Hawaiian culture, such as hula dancing and the fire acts. This is one of the best animated films that has been put out by the Disney studio in years and is wholeheartedly reccomended. This is perfect to bring the whole family to see.

Happy Viewing!

Summary: One of the BEST!
Review: I have to say, I LOVE this movie. Disney has been slacking a little recently, but this movie brings them back to being the "king of the hill." I am a total Stitch fan...this movie was so fun and funny and poignant and the same time.
Stitch is designed to be destructive and bad and mischevious. Designed to wreak havoc, he is a virtually unstoppable force of badness, fireproof, bulletproof, super-strong and super intelligent. He is public enemy #1.
The galactic federation is going to destroy him, but he escapes and crash lands on Earth...Hawaii to be exact. Dropped onto and island with no big cities and not a whole lot to destroy, the true nature of Stitch begins to shine forth. He is befriended and "adopted" by Lilo...who thinks he is a dog. Stitch becomes a creature who is trying to avoid capture and bled in with the locals. When it is all ripped away, he is faced with a big decision. Family is important and the closest ties aren't always the ones that you are born with...they are the bonds that we forge along the way.
This film is beautiful in its animation, spirit and message. The voice-acting is superb and the music fits perfectly with the movie and what is happening. I HIGHLY suggest that you see this movie...it is one of the BEST movies of any genre that I have seen in quite some time.

Summary: COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER
Review: This is the kind of movie Disney produced back in its dark days prior to The Little Mermaid. The story is slick, the animation is good (although not on the level of Shrek), but where this story fails is in depth of characterization. If I were Polynesian I would be offended by Disney's portrayal of the Polynesian people for example....SPOILER ALERT..........At the start of the movie Lilo is at the beach swimming out in the ocean by herself with no adult supervision. Her guardian sister thinks she is at dance school, and apparently no one from the dance school is concerned enough to check on her whereabouts. When Lilo finally arrives at dance school she attacks another student, punching her in the face and biting her. Her teacher mildly repremands her, leaving Lilo seemingly unaffected by her own actions. What kind of message is Disney trying to send here? In another scene the main polynesian male character is shown as a bumbling fire juggler who nearly burns down the stage. Then when Lilo's sister is fired, she drags Lilo around with her as she job hunts instead of finding a responsible baby-sister. Later, although unemployed and desparate to find a job because a social worker is threatening to take Lilo away, her sister spends the day surfing and frolicking at the beach. In yet another scene Lilo's sister is told of a job opportunity, so she rushes off and leaves Lilo, who must be all of 7, by herself in the house. This doesn't make much sense since she felt compelled to drag Lilo around with her previously. This movie makes Polynesian people seem irresponsible and shiftless. There are things to like in this movie. Parts of the story work quite well, and there is plenty of humor for both kids and adults. I just wish Disney had been more careful when developing the characters.

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: I was so excited the night I went to go see Lilo and Stitch 'cause I had read so may great reviews about. Well let me tell you, I wasn't dissapointed at all. The movie was excellent. It was cute and sent out a very positive message. It was also refreshingly aimed at somewhat of an older audience. Stitch is the cutest thing, and another exciting thing about this movie is that it features the voice of Kevin McDonald as Pleakley(a shoutout to all you KITH fans out there)! I would definitely reccomend this movie to viewers of all ages.
