Summary: Go see it!
Review: I took my two sons and a friend of theirs to see Lilo and Stitch this weekend. Their ages are three, four, and five respectively. Insane? Perhaps, but we were all in for a surprise. My three year old was so entranced by the film he didn't move for two hours! Something I would have sworn was impossible before the film. My older son and his friend were likewise motionless. The parents of young children will appreciate the rarity of such an occurance. That was surprise number one...the second was how much my husband and I liked the film. It was witty, interesting, and beautifully drawn. The artwork reminded me of our honeymoon on the beautiful island of Kauai years ago. The animators and writers truely captured the spirit of that wonderful place. The story was one with meaning and heart and I can't recommend it enough. The best Disney has come up with in a long time. One final note...the music is wonderful. The two Hawaiian songs were beautiful and the Elvis songs were just perfect. Go see this... kids or no kids and buy the soundtrack as well! It's a treasure. (Think I'm being paid by Disney? Nope, but this movie blew me away and I don't recall ever saying that about an animated film)

Summary: Great Movie!
Review: Disney finally has a hit on its hands! Lilo & Stitch is the best Disney film since Beauty & the Beast. I loved it and am even considering seeing it again in the Theater.
Thanks for a wonderfully warm and funny film. As a lover of Hawaii, the glimpses into this culture were wonderfully and sensitively handled.

Summary: Funny... maybe on another planet?
Review: The theater I went to was completely full, and there was barely a chuckle during the entire movie. Many people left before the movie was over. With all due respect to the other reviewers, this movie was dull and predictable. It has been advertised as a raunchy comedy, but it is neither raunchy nor funny. It had a few good moments, but otherwise one of the weaker family movies I've been to recently.

Summary: Categorizing L&S as a "Disney" movie is a disservice.
Review: Initially, I thought to myself, "Wow - that was the best Disney movie I've seen in *years*." But while discussing it with others, it became apparent that calling it the best Disney movie I've seen in years is like saying it's the best movie with a crazed blue maniac as the main character I've seen in years. Categorizing it does it a disservice. Lilo and Stitch is one of the funniest moves I've seen in a good long while (the previous high water mark was Shaolin Soccer).

The characters are believable, and interesting - Lilo is one of the most instantly endearing characters I've ever seen, in any medium. Stitch, similarly, is hilarious, and he quickly grows on you (if you don't immediately like his crazed, nigh-homicidal tendencies, as I did).

Summary: A new and different Disney movie
Review: Instead of saying that this colorful, funny, culturally hip movie is better than this or or another Disney movie, let me just say that it's the first one I've cried at in decades. It was hilariously funny (especially with Dr. Jumba and Stitch are demolishing the house while trading quips like action heroes, or when Lilo is innocently explaining why she was late for hula class -- she had to feed a fish (who controls the weather) a peanut butter sandwich because it's Tuesday and her sister had only bought tuna and you can't feed a fish a fish sandwich 'cause that would be like an abomination!) but I really teared up when Stitch realizes that he almost belonged to family (Lilo's) but leaves to avoid causing further trouble for Lilo, and goes into the woods to find his own, because he must have one, mustn't he? Only he's "lost" and doesn't know where they are. When that feroicious little blue alien whispers "I'm lost..." it's really hard to remember that he's a skillfully drawn character in an animated film. And then, all the little bits of Hawaiian culture and music that lovingly creep into this movie. All animated movies are "handmade" in a way, but this one was done with a dozen layers in it, many inside jokes, cultural references, beautiful backgrounds. You owe it to yourself to go see it and then, like me, go see it again. Great round of applause to the young animators and to Disney management for letting them do it! It's a wonder

Summary: "Lilo and Stitch" -- a little miracle from Disney!
Review: Sniff...snuffle...HONK.
Could you hand me another tissue, please? No, nothing's wrong, I just saw "Lilo & Stitch." I don't remember a Disney movie getting to me so much since Dumbo was separated from his mom.
This beautiful little movie, set in Hawaii, is as refreshing as a trip to the beach.
It's doubtless that the show's detractors will point out its resemblance to "E.T." It's true that the story involves a creature from outer-space that is befriended by a human child. But there the resemblance ends.
Lilo (voice of Daveigh Chase, "Donnie Darko") is a little girl who is lonely and troubled, despite the efforts of her teen-age sister Nani (Tia Carrere, "Wayne's World"). Lilo doesn't have any friends, and she wishes for one when she sees what she thinks is a falling star.
The "star," though, is a space vehicle with Stitch aboard. Stitch was created by a mad scientist who has developed a creature that wants to "destroy everything he touches." The scientist is imprisoned for his illegal experiments, and Stitch is dispatched to an asteroid, where he is pursued by the scientist, whose freedom rests on catching the deadly little varmint.
Stitch may be mean, but he's not stupid. When he ends up at an animal shelter, where the staff questions whether he's a dog, he's immediately adopted by Lilo. Stitch knows that he's being hunted, and so tries to contain himself -- as much as he can, anyway. He still wreaks havoc wherever he goes, and, because of Stitch, Nani loses her job and comes one step closer to losing custody of Lilo. A social worker, Cobra Bubbles (Ving Rhames, "Pulp Fiction") is keeping a close eye on the situation, and he has grave misgivings about the two sisters staying together.
The plot is interesting and fast-paced, and the look of the show is glorious: It utilizes the old-fashioned watercolor backgrounds, and blends computer generated-animation with hand-drawn for a really artistic result. The soundtrack contains a lot of Elvis tunes that provide the perfect musical backdrop for the tale.
and did I mention that the characters, more fleshed-out than many live-action characters, are just adorable? Those who do not shed a tear should head immediately for an emergency room for a heart check -- to see if they have one.

Summary: Entertain the kids!
Review: I read a lot of the reviews on here about Lilo and Stitch and I must say some people are either very sensitive or just want to find fault with everything. This was a great kids movie period I enjoyed it as did my husband and 3 year old daughter.

She fell in love with Lilo and was on the edge of her seat the whole movie. She didn't even eat her popcorn!! Seriously, its a Disney classic in every sense of the word and even if you don't see it in the theatre add it to your video/dvd collection when it becomes available. Btw, my 3 year old was able to follow the story line easy enought and understood the happy ending. I really don't think its that hard for a child to follow and think some adults should keep in mind when viewing a childrens film just exactly who is supposed to be entertained.

Summary: Lilo and Stitch
Review: I think that this movie was great for kids of all ages. Some people might think that this is to scary for kids under 6 but my sister who's only three years old enjoyed it(plus laughed tons).i recommend this movie to people that want to get a taste of hawaii. Or if you just want a little bit of comedy.

Summary: Brilliant movie...
Review: I loved Lilo and Stich, and I've been a huge Disney fan for my whole life. Took my daughter to see it and we laughed through half the movie and were on the edge of our seats for the other. The message is wonderful too, and Disney deserved big props for taking a chance like this....

Summary: Had me in stitches...
Review: I decided on Tuesday to go out and see this movie. I knew very little about it and although I have always appreciated the technical proficiency of Disney animation, its treatment of stories has always left something to be desired (tacking a happy ending onto Victor Hugo's classic Hunchback of Notre Dame for example). Lilo & Stitch is grittier than most Disney fare, the characters all ring a little more true than the idealized characters from previous films. Stitch is rotten in the beginning of the movie and no apologies are made for it, he is true to his nature and you understand him (I, in fact, adored him). When Lilo punched a classmate in the face my first thought was "is this really a Disney film?" but she has real a world reaction to her classmates ridicule...appropriate? No. But human. This movie tells a story about a little broken family with problems like the rest of us.

I saw it again last night.

I am debating on whether or not to go again tomorrow. It's that good.
