Summary: Refreshing and touching film!
Review: This is an incredible film, my husband and I (we are both in our 30s) have now seen the movie three times. After the 3rd viewing I found my husband crying through the movie (never happens). It touched our hearts like no other movie has. I has such a warm family message. It teaches wonderful values and has you laughing from beginning to end. We about died when Stitch immitated Godzilla and stormed through his "San Francisco". When Stitch tried to find his family as he was a lost duckling, we were brought to tears each. You will fall in love with stitch and the whole cast. We have a stuffed Stitch and only wish we could have a real one!

Review: When I went in the theaters I wasnt expecting much at all, but by the end I was amazed at how good the movie really was. It is a movie for all ages, and believe me it is hilarious. Just as good as the Toy Story movies!

Summary: Walt Disney must be spinning in his grave right now...
Review: Well, the ads and previews of this one did not look the least bit interesting to me at all, and coupled with my growing dislike for the what has become of Buena Vista-Touchstone-Dimension Inc., I decided to go against instinct and take my 6 year old son who was very happy about going to this film. I guess with all the various corporation$ using the Stitch image on everything from burgers to maxipads these days and shoving the thing down our throats everywhere we go lately, he was an easy mark. To quickly describe this worthless movie: VIOLENT-violent & coupled with an evil level of P.C.ness.
It is weird to me how PC'ness has gone so far off the deep end today that it has twisted back upon itself and now promotes some really bad, bad stuff, low morals, violence, strange ideas and unaccountability (no one is responsible for their own actions anymore). People who think this movie was "laughable, "clever", "witty"...oh "so entertaining"...are truly brainwashed and I am not sure there is any hope for them!?
From the laser gun fights, painful looking machinery, weapon of mass destruction concept, atypical social worker (did you check out his earings, shades and overall menacing demeanor?), physical and verbal violence between family members and friends, and the totally unattractive depiction of the Hawaiian characters both physically and morally. PC alert: All adult females are depicted with thunder thighs and flat chests--(but short shorts and mid-drift tops are ok I guess?!) I assume there is to be no more pretty Pocahontas barbie dolls allowed in Disney films ever again (heaven forbid we get to look at a beautiful heroine). Sheesh this movie was just a wreck! I lived in Hawaii for three years, and the ocean swim/surf scenes were the only true highlight of the film, and they did bring back a few memories of the Hawaii I remember. If there was a story line or message (oh yeah the Ohana thing) it sure paled in comparison to the insanity and chaos that abounded. The animation wasn't even something to marvel about. I just kept thinking of the "Spirit" movie I also recently went to see. By comparison "Spirit" is absolutley gorgeous. In fact I would go so far as to say "Spirit" had me actually oohing and awing over its brilliant colorful artistry. I would go see that again just to "see" it again. I will say this: Disney has some serious "click clacks" for serving us up "Lilo & Stitch"! What next? It just seems to get worse and worse. The last truly great movie they made was "Beauty and the Beast" and that was at least ten years ago.
Sadly disapointed in Alaska...

Summary: Lilo and Stitch
Review: Alright...this is my honest review of Disney's latest and, personally I think, greatest film to date. Like every other Disney animated film, it comes along with a cute, in at least one way, and a problem and then a solution, most of which you already know will be a happy ending like all the rest of the Disney films. I can't think of anything I can post negative about Lilo & Stitch except that it was a little short for my taste (I like a good 2 hours worth of movie). I can definitely say this easily blows any other animated movie out of the waters, and once it comes out on DVD, it is going into my collection.

Review: My 2 year old runs through the house screaming 'stitch, stitch' so we go to take her to see it... She sat through the ENTIRE movie (this child doesn't sit down to watch a 30 minute program)She was enthralled by the entire thing, as soon as it hits DVD we will be buying it... We all loved it!!

Summary: He's something cool, he's something wild
Review: When I first saw this film, I was kinda out of it, having lacked the proper servings of vitamin C foods for the past couple of days, and couldn't "fully" appreciate the charm. So I went to see it again this week. Needless to say, I was very impressed and happy I made that choice. Seeing that I'm a 17-year-old Black Metal fan, this could come as a surprise to some. Here's the lowdown: Stitch (although he doesn't hold that name in the beginnning) is the first of a brand new species bred for war and no peace, created by alien scientist Jumba Jookiba (who looks like one of the gunmen from Namco's "Point Blank" series), who happens to be a citizen of Planet Turo. The planet's superiors, however, declare his creation unauthorized and illegal. So both Jumba and the (rather small) monster are taken captive, but Stitch escapes on a police craft and crashes down to earth on a Hawaiian island, where a cute little girl by the name of Lilo lives with her older sister, Nani. Both are orphans and in a crisis: A community agent (who bares a shocking resemblance of Morphius from "The Matrix") isn't too happy with their current stats, and says he will take Lilo away to a foster home if Nani can't prove herself to be a decent parent. This is when Lilo runs into the alien critter, mistakes him for a dog, and decides to adopt him (This is where he gets the name "Stitch"). Stitch's creator, however, is released from jail by the Turo governor and given orders to recapture his monster. From there on, the main characters get into plenty of fun and hilarious situations. While the story is great, the animation is the best Disney has done in awhile, as it is very lush and smooth. Also, an absurd but funny thing is that all the humans, even the girls, have chubby noses. There are plenty of laughs along the way as well (the arguments between Lilo and Nani in the beginning are entertaining). Stitch, while being a great hero, is kind of a tough one to give a damn about in the beginning, as he's a crass-mannered little guy who's always getting Lilo's older sister into trouble. Be patient, though, because when his good side comes to life, you'll see him as one of the most loveable characters the guys at Disney have conjured. All in all, a great Disney animation that can appeal to both kids and adults. The animators have also matured in their humor to some lengths, almost to the level of Shrek (my favorite bit of the maturity being towards the end when Stitch wears Nani's bra on his head). If you're interested, I suggest you go and check it out as soon as possible before it's no longer in theaters. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. ""Ohana" means "family". "Family" means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."

Summary: An amazing movie
Review: This is quite possibly the best Disney movie I've seen in many years. That's coming from a man who absolutely adores movies such as Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Tarzan, and The Lion King. The movie had so many terrific qualities, it's difficult to list them all. There were moments when I burst out laughing, and moments when my eyes welled up with tears. Not tears of sadness, mind you, but tears of unsurpassed emotion at the sights and sounds of such beautiful family and togetherness. The main characters are amazingly well developed for such a short film. The plot of the movie is simple enough for a child to follow, yet mature enough for an adult to enjoy time and time again. 5 out of 5 stars, easily. {based on theatrical presentation]

Review: As awkward and neurotic as the little blue "puppy dog" Stitch is portrayed in the commercials, audiences will leave wanting to take him home. Only being created to destroy, this brilliant, wide-eyed alien crashes in Kauai while attempting to escape capture. Disguising himself as a dog he is adopted by a small, broken, but still good family, sisters Lilo and Nani.
Hilarity ensues as Stitch struggles to fit in on Earth and Lilo attempts to tame her little angel into a model citizen, a.k.a. Elvis Presley.
Decorated with beautiful water colored backgrounds, tracked with hip swaying Hawaiian songs and focusing on the underlying theme of Ohana (family), Lilo and Stitch is truly a Disney classic worthy of adding to any collection.

Summary: Disney seems to be making a huge comback...
Review: Disney has their hits and misses, but with the new character Stitch, they have a home run. From beginning to end children and adults can be captivated in this hilarious and beautiful animated feature.
Stitch is an alien created by a mad scientist who escapes custody and blasts off to earth where he meets Lilo, a problem child living with her sister. The story is about keeping families close, whether they are natural or put together, and it isn't too overwhelming a message as most are. The voice talents of Daveigh Chase, Tia Carrere, Ving Rhames, Jason Scott Lee, and David Ogden Stiers do a great job of bringing the characters to life .
The animation is simply beautiful, really capturing the beauty of Hawaii and the ocean surrounding it. The character's oversized arms, legs, hands, and feet are very reminiscent of Osamu Tezuka's style in the classic Astro Boy comics and recently-released Metropolis feature-length movie. For the first time computer animation was seamlessly placed in with the hand-drawn segments fluidly and wasn't strikingly obvious. A space chase introduction grabs the audience with action and then amazes with the Hawaiian atmosphere on Earth, seamlessly and gorgeously.
This movie deals with broken families and how we can recover a new family from what is left, and does it in a light, Disney way. Serious issues are involved as when Lilo first meets Stitch, he is a mean, heartless experiment because of lack of a family. Also Lilo and her sister live together and take care of each other with the Department of Social Services constantly checking up on them. All of these issues seem very real and I have never seen it made so realistically in a Disney movie. Usually they show issues metaphorically, but in this one they show all, which may be a little too intense for younger children who have had similar experiences.
The comedy is brilliant and will have you laughing out loud. Not one joke seemed corny or contrived and the whole theatre was loud with the enjoyment of kids and adults. Too bad Minority Report seems to be overshadowing this Disney jem. Bring the whole family to this fantastic animated masterpiece and you will not regret it.
