Summary: better than some of Disney's last few movies
Review: Lilo and Stitch is the last movie I've bought from Disney. I feel that many of their films have been lacking as of late, including the supposedly good "Spirit of the Cimarron" or however you spell it.

Lilo and Stitch is the story about a girl, her sister, and an alien. Stitch, the alien, is an experiment who escapes from his captors and heads toward earth. Lilo and Her sister, Nani aren't doing so good, since their parents died and Nani finds herself trying to care for her little sister.

There were times where I didn't get the movie though, and didn't see the logic. For instance, there's the part where Lilo and Stitch are with Nani as she looks for a job. Somehow, Stitch and Lilo manage to ruin Nani's best efforts to find work. I felt that that part was disrespectful on the part of Lilo, and that Nani should have said something about it, since, in the end, she can't find work because of Stitch's antics.

Then there is the end. When I watch this move again, I'll skip the end, because it doesn't make much sense.

But the movie was good, too a point. The music is good, and the whole general idea was good. But I'm not surprised that this movie is lacking a little, since its Disney, and Disney has been going downhill with the ... they have been releasing lately.

But I have noticed that many people took thier small children to see this movie, as some noted in other reviews. The movie, by the way, is rated PG, meaning that "parental guidance" is suggested for younger viewers, which would include 3 year olds.

Just because its Disney does not mean that it is appropriate for all. I would personally not recommend this movie to children under the age of 7, as the rating suggests. Use some discernment.

Summary: Don't buy Lilo & Stitch
Review: This is a very non-Disney movie if you ask me. Besides having a very odd story line, this movie has encouraged my 3-year-old son to hit/punch/bite (because Lilo does) and use the word "stupid." I had to hide the DVD so he can't watch it anymore. I definitely don't recommend this movie!

Summary: Disney scores another winner
Review: Once again before writing my review I've gone through my now habitual look at the 1-star reviews. The 30 1 star reviews I've read here have left me bewildered at the pathetic P.C state this world is headed towards.
Well, since I don't care one whit about political correctness I will sum up LILO AND STITCH briefly as this: A cute Disney comedy with sci fi elements.
Stitch is a koala-like genetic experiment made by aliens: fireproof, bulletproof, has the ability to think faster than a supercomputer, can see in the dark and move objects 3000 times his size. The only negative is that Stitch is also a lethal weapon, so Stitch is sent into exile, but escapes to Earth en route to prison. A pair of dim witted prisoners are enlisted as bounty hunters, who will be given their freedom in exchange for Stitch's capture.
Lilo is a cheeky, but lonely little Hawaiian girl with a passion for Elvis music who lives with her older sister Nani. Nani decides Lilo needs a dog to keep her company. This results in a visit to an animal shelter where Stitch has been impounded upon his arrival on Earth. Lilo adopts him, but their burgeoning friendship may be being abused by Stitch for his own protection. Meanwhile a social worker is trying to take Lilo away from her sister....
Featuring the voice talents of Tia Carrere, David Ogden Stiers and Ving Rhames, LILO AND STITCH is a great movie with a humorous script for all ages.

Summary: Love it, love it, love it!
Review: I saw this on a plane first, and knew I had to have it. Perhaps my enthusiasm is because Stitch is remarkably like one of my dogs. But I really enjoyed this Disney movie more than any other recent ones except Toy Story. Not to give too much away, but it ends like a Jackie Chan movie with everyone the best of friends.

Summary: Best Disney Movie Ever!!!
Review: This movie is just fantastic, from it's wonderfully unique look, it's GREAT soundtrack (Disney's best!Elvis is still the King!), and it's uplifting message of "ohana", a Hawaiian word meaning "family, or,no one is left behind or forgotten"!! I suggest parents pay close attention to the rating(PG) because little ones below the age of 6 may think acting like Stitch before he finds a family and happiness would be a good idea (it wouldn't be, though he is darned FUNNY when he's bad, as well as when he's good). Lilo is a very sweet but lonely little girl and acts out occasionally. which is understandable, because she misses her parents ( they passed away in a car accident which is referred to, not shown, in a very tender and sweet scene). She is being raised by her older sister, and is incredibly endearing and lovable!!!She and Stitch find their way to better behavior through love of each other and their "broken but still good" family. The end is very uplifting and leaves the wonderful message of "ohana" for familes of all kinds and sizes. A must see!!!

Summary: This Very Well Could Be the Worst Disney Movie Ever!
Review: I was so excited when I purchased this video for my two year old son. Just got done watching it with him and now I may invest in a shrink wrap machine, repackage this train wreck of a movie, and take it back to the store. The previews for the movie made it look like it was a funny movie. Stich appeared to be a very likeable and humorous character on the previews, but when you watch the movie you wish that he was put to sleep at the dog pound. It's a sad story about a girl that lost her folks and has no friends and is about to be taken away by DCFS. Sounds like a good feel good movie? Sure there is a moral to the story and of things all work out but I really was hoping Stitch would have drowned or something. I am upset that I have this movie in my house and that my son will be watching it again.

The only reason I gave this movie 1 star was that there is not a 0 star option and I enjoyed the Elvis music. That's it.

Stick with the Lion King or Toy Story.

Summary: Elvis & Disney - A Winning Combination!
Review: What better way to let children know there is other types of music (and better in my opinion) then to bring the songs of Elvis Presley to the big screen/DVD in a great animated Disney movie! Because of this movie, my daughter (9-1/2 years) thoroughly enjoys the music of Elvis. She likes his songs & singing but she also enjoyed hearing Wynona sing her verions of an Elvis song as well as one of the new kids "pop" groups sing an Elvis song.

The movie and characters are adorable! There is some mild violence (thanks to Experiement 626, aka Stitch) but not enough to really warrant any concern (but this is just my opinion - others may have a different opinion). Lilo is a lonely Hawaiian girl just trying to fit in. Her parents are now gone and she is living with her older sister who is having difficulties keeping a job and being a guardian to Lilo. Lilo is allowed to adopt a dog, unfortunately (or fortunate depending on your point of view) the "dog" she thinks she is adopting is really an alien, Experiement 626, whom she names Stitch and she instantly loves him. Stitch is trying to hide from his creator but he was created to distroy everything. But through all of Lilo's persistance and patience she starts to get through to Stitch and he starts to learn about family and what it means to be in a family (in the words of Lilo; "Ohana means family and family means no one get's left behind.").

This is a must have for anyone's movie library whether it's for an adult, children or the entire family! You can't beat the Disney magic, I grew up on Disney and feel this is one of their best!!

Summary: Funny
Review: This movie is downright FUNNY. As an 18 year old I found this a very amusing movie. Although some parts were rediculously dumb I find myself watching it over and over. This is kind of in the genre of The Emporors New Groove. It has puns for both the older and younger audience. Heee funny.

Summary: The best Disney movie yet!!
Review: I have watched Disney movies all my life (since I was born which was about 15 years ago) and have not seen one this good. I have one complaint though about the reviewers on this review board. To Doting and Concerned Parents: LOOK ON THE BACK OF COVERS AT THE RATINGS! This movie was rated PG by the MPAA for mild sci-fi action violence. This is what you ignorant people are thinking, Hmm, I think I'll take my kids to a movie with lots of violence even though I know its not good for them. You're stupid! Just shut up and go read your mommy magazines. Sit down and shut up! Movies that are rated G are for all audiences and are not inappropriate for kids. Movies that are rated PG are for ages 6 and up due to minor objectionable content. Get the picture! Anyway, now that I got the other "PARENT" readers in their place, onto why I think "L&S" is a great movie for parents with kids 6 AND OLDER, not 5 and YOUNGER.

Lilo and Stitch is a cute story because it has great family values. One of the values that I admired about this movie is the one thing that alot of people noticed and love. The phrase "Ohana means family an family mean no one gets left behind". This is a phrase to live by. If you follow that phrase, you can have a great life with your family. Now parents who are concerned about this movie: there is some minor objectionable content in the movie. There are some minor Star Wars style laser gun fights that might scare your young ones. In all the years that Disney has put out movies, you don't think that they'd start ruining their reputation by throwing in bad words is stupid. There are some rude words if that's what you meant. There are some instances of that but its all minor (words like "stupidhead" are used and that's not bad). This movie is okay for kids over 6. It's not recommended at all for kids younger than that specified age so don't try to sneak it in. Anyway, this is a really cute family movie to watch with your family on a Sunday night.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Must buy!
Review: You must get this DVD! A great joy to watch with the entire family. The authentic Hawaiin songs are beautiful to listen.
