Summary: A must for our children
Review: My children are 3 and 2 years old. This is the first movie I definitely want them to see and understand in the future, as part of their education as integral human beings. This beautiful movie is a masterpiece.

Summary: Just a bit overrated?
Review: Okay, I don't have a heart of ice, "Children ofHeaven" moved me in parts, but is it really a work of art? A lotof the posted reviews are keen to single out the absence of sex and violence and special effects in the film as a virtue, but it seems to be more a knee-jerk response than any thoughtful analysis. Are all American movies really that trashy and corrupt? And does lack of sex or violence necessarily make a film good? "Children of Heaven" may be an effective antidote to truly rotten American films that glorify exploitative sex and violence, but it doesn't really exceed the best examples of American filmmaking. It's been done before and perhaps, better.

Review: This movie is moving, and entertaining. you should see it as fat as you can. It's about a boy, who looses his sisters shoes, and how he tries to get her some new ones, without anyone finding out.

Summary: A reminder we all need, like it or not
Review: This is by far the best film I have seen in years. Instead of sitting down to another mind-numbing comedy or stupid action movie, watch this. While not an overly new message, this film portrayed a side of life that we often neglect as adults: the child's perspective. I thought about this story for days afterward, and still have the images in my head. Many films can make you laugh or cry; this one makes you think. In our me-centered culture, we can learn so much from an exellent film like this one.

Review: I'm a movie lover, even foreign language films (that require us to read the subtitles and see the acting at the same time), but this one really touches the heart. A must see movie for all ages! Especially for those who only see the material side of life. The acting is fantastic. I wish our Phil. film makers can come up with this kind of non-violent, no sex film!

Review: the iranian government continually berates the u.s. for its cultural hegemony and seeks to protect iran's populace from the evil of the west's materialism. mr majidi's wonderful film from iran shows us that they might not be far from the truth, though serendipiditously. what surprised me with this film was how it stuck in my mind for days and how its message sank through. a message that is beautifully simple and masterfully presented. an old man making a simple gift of a handful of fruit and nuts becomes more poignant with the background of his abject poverty. a movie that could never be made in the west because we have largely forgotten something important, how meaningless out "things" and our competiveness are.this movie is a must for all.

I passed all day thinking about children's needs and what a little thing can make them happy! I recomend this movie, because it teaches you something very special.

It will awaken your soul, take you back to your younger days, and make you wish you were as pure as a child.
This movie was up for an Academy Award under " Best international Movie of the year" in USA and has won many other awards thourgh out Europe and Canada. It will be well worth your effort and time put into seeing this movie. You can rent it at any major rental store until the price is more attractive for purchase.
Again this movie will evoke a unique tranquility for the viewers and blossom a new you.

Review: I had no idea about this movie when I rented it. Just picked it up from the shelves. My husband watched it with me. The movie was soooo good that now I want to own it. I have recommended the movie to everyone I know. This is the kind of movie that our children should be watching these days. God bless those who are involved in making this great and very heart-warming movie.
