Summary: looking for love
Review: This is a great movie for anyone who enjoys love stories, unless you're homophobic.
Two guys are looking for some place to do each other and discover in the process that they have found love. Mark says that he's glad they've got the "hard stuff" over with, getting to know and like each other. The sex never does happen, but love does.
J.P. Pitoc displays a promise of acting ability that will keep me looking for him in future roles - watch Mark's facial mannerisms throughout the movie.
Am I the only one who thinks Christian Campbell looks WAY too young for his role? He looks like a high school senior. Anyway, he plays the nerdy, nervous kid well.
Tori Spelling is just absolutely obnoxious, which her character is supposed to be. But I couldn't wait for her to get off-screen every time she appeared. I guess that's what "fast forward" is for, right?
This would be rated PG-13 if it weren't for its homosexual theme. The closest to sex it shows is Mark rubbing Gabriel's chest. But if you're open-minded and like happy endings, you'll like this one.

Summary: Trick is Tricky
Review: Christian Campbell can't act, lets face it. He got the kiddy cute face and very sexy eyes.Watch this movie if you want to see lots of bare-bodied male flesh and a full frontal woman nudity. Other than that, there is no plot. If not for the good looking actors, this movie should be given a pass but hey sometimes you just got to watch movie because of the ensemble of pretty casts. Other than Christian Campbell's really cute face, this movie is a boo-hoo. You decide whats best for you.

Review: This delightful movie comes closest to being something I've searched for a long time -- a gay romantic comedy which follows the cheezeball Hollywood romantic comedy formula -- right down to what I've always referred to as the "hurry up and catch him before you lose him forever" scene. The leads are adorable, and the supporting cast is a riot. However, Gabe and Mark's romance could use a more even build -- less angst and more emotional chemistry might help. Gabe's edginess, at first endearing, became far too reminiscent of my own real life relationship jitters as the movie continued. The combustion of Tori Spelling's character in a diner, though neccesary and highly amusing , disrupted the conclusion of Mark and Gabe's story at precisely the wrong moment. I found it distracting, and would prefer to see it relocated to some point earlier in the film. Beyond these minor complaints, Trick is highly entertaining, endearing and adorable -- the most whimsical, escapist gay romantic comedy I've come across.

Summary: A Really Good Gay Flick
Review: I came out about 2yrs ago but I still wasnt able to rent gay movies cause of fear of what my co-workers would think(I work at a video store). So one day I decided to get over my fears and rent this along with Beautifull thing, Broken Hearts Club and Get Real. This is really a charming and really cute romantic comedy. This is also probably Tori Spelling's Best role ever. She is really good, and hysterically funny. not like that cheap night time soapy acting on 90210. a good boy meet boy story with alot of surpises and a happy ending. The film is about A gay play/songwritter named Gabriel(Christan Campbell;Neve's Brother)Who is tired of being single and isnt being succusess full with his play carear. Enter his best Friend Katherine(Tori Spelling)who is an apsiring actress and a real silly goose. one night he decides to go out to a gay bar but doesnt know how to meet guys or anything he runs into a few gay men but nothing he is intersted in. he see's this go go boy dancing and is fixated on him. on the way home he see's him on the subway and checks him out. as Gabe leaves the train, the go go boy Mark(J.P Piotic) follows and as Gabe thinks is a standard hook up finds out later is was more. The only problem Gabes roomate needs the apartment and they cant find a place to hook up so its a funny night of trying to find a place and an intersting mix of colorfull characters. in the end mark and gabe hit it off in a very charming gay movie. a must for any gay male who wanted a relationship and couldnt think he would find one. a must.

Review: I absolutely LOVED Trick. I bought it before I had ever seen it - on a recomendation from a friend. It was absolutely wonderful and I'm THRILLED that I got it. PERFECT for all of you romantics out there!

Summary: A long, long night
Review: "Trick" is one of the dearest and sweetest movies to come down the pike since "Beautiful Thing." Small films with their emotions on their cinematic sleeves make one feel so much more human and alive than a belt in the face with a movie like "Gladiator" where everything is laid on so thick that you feel like you're stuck to a roach trap. The long, tortured night of seeking sexual release--and the place to do it--takes these two young men on a Dante-esque adventure through the netherworld of New York and the creatures that inhabit its levels. Torie Spelling shut my mouth once and for all--I will forgive her everything she has ever done and anything she is likely to do on the basis of the best wannabe struggling actress performance I have seen since Terri Garr almost invented the role in "Tootsie." And speaking of being knocked over, I was stunned and then erupted with laughter when a performer suddenly launches into a vulgar ditty in Spanish that had me in tears. However, this film does not appeal to any prurient interest but rather appeals to what is good and decent in each of us and that is what films should be about.
