Review: I agree with whoever said forget about the negative reviews. And the nitpicking about wigs and whatnot. Some of the negative comments I've seen are more about egotripping than they are about the film's basic energy. I would even go to say that if you don't like this film, there might be something wrong with you. The Trip is like a shot in the arm. Hats off to Miles Swain for his first production. The interaction between the actors is excellent, especially the main characters Alan and Tommy. Actors Sirena Irwin and Jill St. John are excellent. I've seen this film 10 times and 3 times with running commentary. I'm no film piker. I like Speilberg, Fellini, Soderbergh, Forman, Schlesinger and many other directors. A film doesn't have to be great to be enormously entertaining.
