Summary: Show Me Love...and Honest and Funny Tale of Youth
Review: Show me Love is not just a movie about two young girls discovering their sexuallity, in fact, that is probably one of the smaller components of the film.Show Me Love depicts, very honestly and with much humour, the day to day process of growing up. Siblings, Parents, peers and even the people you fall in love with. Alexandra Dahlstrom and Rebecca Liljeberg give amazing performances and the film is not to be missed. For those weary of subtitled movies, fear not, the film is easy to follow.

Review: Forget what you hear about this being merely a lesbian flick; 'Show Me Love' ranks among the best coming of age stories in recent memory. The two leads take their roles with achingly real adolescent vitality, and the supporting roles of Agnes' father and the moonstruck hunk are played with warmth, devoid of cliche. While the film may come up short of complex insight into its characters, perhaps because of their age, it is on the whole a moving tale with nary a false scene. As it suggests, love may be fleeting, but if one takes the risk that Agnes or Elin does, one might find catch that elusive glimpse of the better world, or at the very least retain youthful hope, that comes only by knowing another person.

Summary: Every scene rings true
Review: I just wanted to add my five stars for this great, unashamedly feel-good movie. I come from a small place not dissimilar to the town the movie describes, and I'm amazed at all the details Moodyson managed to capture. Elin wants to do drugs, but all she has are vitamin pills. She takes them anyway and hopes for the best. Elin's moped-riding boyfriend never knows what to say. Agnes' psychologist father tries to offer advice: "When I was your age, I was very lonely too...but everything changed. Now, 25 years later, I find I turned out well compared to the rest of the class" 25 years? Gee, thanks, dad. And the girl in the wheelchair never stands a chance when she tries to step out of the role as class mascot.

Review: This movie is just plain sweet. it's my favorite of
the teen romance genre and it's far better than
many. Think Incredibly true adventures but sweeter
and with better acting.

Review: Many directors could have done of this a vulgar or morbid movie. But this is not the case. Show me love is caste without being prude, and delicate without being too smooth. It is respectful of the young lives it gently looks at without being too intrusive. It touches your heart with grace and truth. So rare. You must not miss this one!

Review: Set in a small town is Sweden,a girls coming of age, and the realization of having no friends in a new town. She(angie), finds herself falling in love with (elin) a girl from her school. Only herself and her computer know that the love can only be one sided. Finally she confesses her love to a drunken Elin at Angie's birthday party. After much sole searching, Elin realizes she to is in love with Angie. As the story goes, they lived happily ever after.

Summary: Wonderfully sweet, romantic tale!
Review: I was fortunate enough to see Show Me Love at the Phoenix Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival last year with my then-sweetheart, and we both adored it. It's realistic, and we both could relate to what it was like being having first lesbian crush, and having a sweet, tender relationship bloom out of it. Show Me Love is at times funny, at times heartbreaking, but always intriguing and charming. This movie shows that truly, love, confusion, and courage are ideas that transcend language and nationality. A must have!

Summary: One that should be viewed in schools....
Review: Show Me Love (Original Title: ****ing Åmål) The title has no allusion towards sex, however, the title origin from the extremely monotonous town of Åmål in mid Sweden. This Swedish creation is an excellent film about teenage homosexuality and the pain that the gay adolescence face in today's society. The film is great, since it displays consideration for the theme with both seriousness and humor. Anyone who views the film does not have to be gay in order to recognize himself or herself as they were as teenagers with curiousness and strife for maturity. I must say that this is one of the better GLBT films that I have seen in a long time, however, the transfer is horrendous and the subtitles are often misspelled and grammatically wrong. Then again, I am fluent in Swedish, which helps.

Summary: Beautiful and Breathtaking
Review: This is the most realistic lesbian film I've ever seen. Great performances by both young actresses and funny, yet realistic humor. Made me remember junior high school all over again... and i admire the character's bravery. No exaggerations and No bulls$(*% make this movie one of my favorites. Sweet and simple.

Summary: I've Seen It In Sweden...
Review: ... under it's original title and just wanted to comment that Swedes don't generally use the American slang swear word curiously used in the original title. Nor do they find such language offensive, on the whole, so it was no big deal over here in Sweden. Renaming the film for marketing in America is done all the time, and I don't see a problem with doing so. Rebecca Liljeberg has done one other movie that I have seen - Sheridal - and I hope America will one day get to see that one too. She's a great little actress!
