Rating: Summary: simply the best Review: this movie was so complex and layered and yet so comically refreshing. loved it!!!
Rating: Summary: Chasing Amy completes the Trilogy Review: Chasing Amy put the icing on the cake for Smith. I think it's his best work yet. It is much more mature than Clerks and Mallrats (which were very good also), but with that witty humor and hidden refrences from the first two movies. It is a story of love and truth. Who do you love and how much do you love them? It ends beautifully leaving you to fill in the pieces. Great film for men and women alike. We can all relate.
Rating: Summary: read review to find out Review: This movie was trashy and stupid. The plot had no point. The girl was a slut. It had bad language. It had sexual situations. Children should not she it. All they talk about through the whole movie are blow-jobs and threesomes.
Rating: Summary: When you conculde a trilogy... Review: you save the best for last. Kevin Smith outdoes himself in a sexy somewhat realistic story about guy wants girl but giral wants girl till she realized she wants the guy. The character of Banky (jason lee) was brilliant. Awesome a must see snooch
Rating: Summary: Concluding perhaps the best 'trilogy' of all time. Review: I saw Chasing Amy first, then Mallrats, then Clerks, just to show that it's not necessary to have seen all three to understand the jokes. Chasing Amy's just even more impressive when you can see how it's brilliantly interweaved. From a chance sighting at the local cinema, this quickly became one of the most infectious and inspiring films of 1998. The intelligence of the script, the delightful interplay of the characters, the intensely thought-provoking dialogue, all made sure you were thinking about it for not just days but months afterwards. The performances are superb, the emotion measured to perfection right to the end and the honesty of the script is never lost on them. Seldom does a script avoid so many crowd-pleasing moments, and yet leave the audience thoroughly enchanted with its fare. Chasing Amy is a masterpiece and it is ironic that it's raw but purposeful language marginised the film, when it avoids the gratuitous visuals that are increasingly and often nonsensically thrust into mainstream cinema. Suddenly the spoken word is becoming more feared than the visual enactment. Especially when it mentions the censorial taboo of gay sex.
Rating: Summary: Kevin Smiths Best Review: Simply the best movie I have ever seen
Rating: Summary: it was the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Review: she is sex
Rating: Summary: I give this movie and emotional 5 stars Review: I feel that this movie is one of the best of it's kind. Everyone in a relationship should see it. It opens your eyes to the fact that you shouldn't worry about what happened in the past of a special someone. I give this movie a very emotional 5 stars
Rating: Summary: very controversial, but for all puposes worth seeing Review: Very good film which makes you think that after all you may not be *always* right. What is "relationship" between "civilized" people? Can your mate get jealous of your girlfriend? She did some wild things in the past - do you get over *her* or *your xenophobia*? Up's: intriguing plot, good acting, not a typical american touchy-feely happy-end movie. Down's: script is fool of F-words, hence is unsuitable for easily offended people.
Rating: Summary: A movie for those who thought life was clear cut Review: You know, when saw this movie with my best friend, I thought it was going to be about two guys chasing the same woman. I didn't realise that it was going to make me look at the way we define relationships, and the way we *don't*. Ben Affleck was intense and adoring ...and if ever there was a movie worth watching, enjoying, and then bugging your friends to see-this is it.
