Summary: An excellent follow up to an excellent film!!!
Review: Scream 2...what can I say!!! An excellent follow up to Scream. Once again Wes Craven had me on the edge of my seat with the re-lived nightmare of the 'Mask'. Craven has again excelled himself with another brilliant story line also my compliments go to the greatly talented actors such as: Neve Cambell, David Arquette and of course Courtney Cox. What else can I say......Here's to Scream 3!!!

Summary: A decent sequel that is entertaining and gradifing
Review: This is not has good has Scream and the first 2 Halloweens but is still entertaining. i didn't like how gory it was compared to # uno but not has bad has your jasons, freddies, and later michael myers.I would have gave it ***** if it wasn't for the lack of interest williamson put in to it and the fact my favorite character died. But it still tightly bounds the orginial characters and newcharacters that made the orginal scream a classic.

Summary: Not very good...
Review: Being a scream movie, it has to get some credit, but the end of this movie sucked. It was the one of the worst endings to a movie that I have ever seen. Scream 3 is in the making (I think) and I hope that they didn't follow the tracks of this movie. AVOID.

Summary: Sequel-itis
Review: Unfortunately, Scream 2 falls victim to the oh-so-common sequel-itis that plagues many horror sequels. After the original redefined the term "sleeper hit" by grossing $103 million (domestically), Dimension Films rushed to release the sequel. Less than a year after the release of the original, Scream 2 opened to less than enthusiastic reviews, yet still managed to make a killing at the box office (101 million).
Was Scream 2 a bad film? Not really. In fact it is much better than most of the disposable horror trash on the market today, however it does not hold a candle to the original. The script and acting seem very rushed, and the film falls victim to many of the horror cliches that the original so effectively denounced. The film's biggest downfall is the identity of the killers. Part of what made the first film so great was that all the clues to killer's identity were there. The sequel however, offers no logical clues to the identity of the killers, who turn out to be somewhat minor characters who have played a very small partt in the narrative until this point. When they are finally revealed, it's like "Where did they come from?"
Scream 2 lacks the originality, script (though still helmed by Williamson), acting, and sheer terror that made the original such a classic. That said, it's still worth a rent, but think twice about buying it unless you are a die hard fan of the series.
