Review: This DVD is wonderful! This past weekend, my husband and I watched it, and even though we had seen it before on television, seeing it unedited brought on even more gales of laughter.

Summary: KEEP IT UP IT WILL BE HIS LAST CHRISTMAS!
Review: That line is one of the funniest lines in this movie!

My family loves this one-we watch it every Christmas eve-and still laugh at it!

Every scene is a great one-my favorite is whenever Clark is flipping out about something!

Of course I bet everyone has crazyness at Christmastime-with looney relatives coming over-I know I have some!

My favorite character is Eddie-no-one could of played Eddie the way he can!

Aunt Bethany and Uncle Lewis are a hit-they were the funniest-and their cat was cute-before it got fried!

This is the most best Christmas movie ever!

I would reccomend this movie to anyone who loves Christmas or just wants to watch it so they can compare their looney relatives to the ones on screen!

Summary: Classic.
Review: This movie is a classic I laugh at it every time I watch it. This movie was released in 1989 and stars Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Juliette Lewis and many others. My family and I watch this movie very Christmas Eve party and get a kick out of it. The DVD should be much better and should re-release it on a Widescreen format and with deleted scenes and many other extras. This DVD is worth it for the movie alone, it is hilarious but I still wish they would re-release the film on Widescreen.

Summary: Our favorite Christmas movie!
Review: We have spent many a Christmas with the Griswolds and never tire of their hilarious antics! Our favotite parts are "The Icicle Scene" and "The Squirrel Scene". And that poor kitty cat! This movie is fun for the whole family but be aware there is some adult humor that may not be too appropriate for younger kids. It's just not Christmas without the Griswolds!

Summary: A Christmas Classic
Review: Every Christmas Eve I put the presents under the tree, straighten the stockings, and never forget to watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Chevy Chase returns as Clark Griswald and gives his funniest performance yet. Beverly D'Angelo is also back as Ellen, and not to mention Randy Quaid has also returned to play good old Uncle Eddy. This movie will have you laughing the whole time. The DVD could have a better selection of extra's but trust me, the movie is satisfying enough.

What makes this movie different from the rest of the Vacation movies is the fact that the Griswalds don't actually take a vacation. Instead they stay home and invite the in-laws to join them for the holidays. One of the greatest moments in the movie would have to be when Eddy kidnaps Clark's boss to fufill Clark's Christmas wish.

Forget "The Santa Clause", "A Christmas Story", and "A Miracle on 34th Street". Christmas Vacation is the new Christmas DVD classic!

Summary: Is that Santy Claus?
Review: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is my favorite movie! I have loved this since the day I saw it. My family now has a Thanksgiving tradition of watching this in the evening. I have watched the movie so many times I can recite almost all of the dialouge and I laugh before something funny even happens. It is the best Christmas movie/comedy ever made. Fun and laughter for the whole family.

Summary: WHERE ARE THE FEATURES?!?!?
Review: I can safely say that this is BY FAR the best Christmas movie out to date, perhaps even the best comedy. Chevy Chase is at his comedic best in what I feel is his greatest movie ever. He stars as Clark W. Griswold (the character he portrayed in two "Vacation" movies prior to this, in addition to one released about 8 years after.

Anyhow, the premise of this film is that Clark wants his ENTIRE family over for the Christmas holidays, so with over a dozen relatives crammed in the Griswold house, all hilarity breaks loose. From a house draped in Christmas lights, a fried cat, and a squirrel/dog chase, to an exploding turkey, a slippery sled and Chevy Chase flipping out every 30 seconds, you have all the ingredients for one hilarious movie.

So, that being said, I gave this DVD edition only 3 stars. This is simply because this movie has been released in the FULL SCREEN FORMAT. This indeed takes away from the film a great deal, and by far deserves the anamorphic widescreen treatment. I don't mind so much about commentary, behind the scenes aspects, etc. But they should have at least given this film the treatment it deserves.

I can only hope that Warner Brothers have listened to everybody's cries, and release a special edition of this film in widescreen format. I don't think it's asking for much. I've talked to plenty of people who have told me that watching this movie is a holiday tradition. So, hopefully we can see this happen, perhaps before the next holiday season.

Summary: Deck the halls with howls of laughter!
Review: One of my favorite Xmas movies! Clark Griswold wants to have an old-fashioned family christmas, so I'll stand back if i were you. the laughs come fast and furious in this movie, even the opening animation bit is funny.
