Rating: Summary: TIES WITH "AIRPLANE" AS THE FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER!!!! Review: This movie is absolutely hillarious! Some boring people won't enjoy the low-brow humor, but if you liked "Airplane" you can safely say you'll love this movie. This movie is not like "Airplane", but the taste in humor is similar. It's even better than "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" believe it or not. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!
Rating: Summary: Perhaps The Most Over-Hyped Movie Of The Decade Review: Ever since the High School prom guys have been making fools of themselves over Cameron Diaz. They will go to any length to cajole, bribe, bully and trick their way into her heart. The pursuit of Cameron by a hapless collection of misfits and their continuous back stabing and one-upmanship of each other is the centerpiece of this barely funny comedy. Billed as one of the greatest comedy flicks of all time with cutting-edge over the top gross humor it is in reality hardly as funny as the average sit-com. As for the way out offensive humor, if you can get through an episode of 'Saturday Night Live' without getting rilled up you'll have no problem here. 'Something About Mary' is not a joke after joke after joke laughfest but rather a long, very long excercise in waiting for the next potential comedic bit which most often falls flat. When the final gag is revealed after a monotonous build up you're so bored an otherwise clever ending is only ho-hum. Matt Dillon as a cheezy private detective provides the one bright spot and most of the (few) laughs. To see more reviews you may or may not agree with click on 'see more about me'.
Rating: Summary: Not since Mel Brooks dared to portray farting cowboys . . Review: . . has anyone inflicted such a side-splitting ride on the moviegoing public. I haven't laughed so hard since the last time I blew my nose and looked at the tissue. The Farrelly brothers should DEFINITELY be considered icons of American culture going into the new millennium (not to be considered a complement). Someone please explain to me . . just how do you ENJOY something like this?
Rating: Summary: One of the funniest movies of all time Review: If you don't laugh at this movie you must be dead or comatose!
Rating: Summary: There's Nothing about Mary... Review: Nothing funny or sexy that is. This movie had one funny scene and that was when the cop bounced Stillers head off that table. That's it, nothing before or after. It was way over hyped and so is Diaz. She is not the Goddess everyone seems to think she is,there are alot more prettier actresses out there than her,Julia Roberts for one. And Roberts can act too. If you want a movie watch this,if you want a Funny movie, see Deuce Bigalow,it's worth the hype.
Rating: Summary: YUCK!!! I'd give it zero stars if I could!! Review: I went to see this movie after seeing several hilarious previews. Trust me, those were the ONLY clean parts of this movie! It was extremely crude and vulgar. Grossest movie I've ever seen!
Rating: Summary: The Farrellys miss one Review: This is not funny. Sure you have the tacky (intended) hair gel scene...but that was not funny enough to save this boring film. I mean what is the point....middle class America is boring and tries to get thru with a little juvenile wit....we know that already...no need to waste time or money to be told again by a couple guys that can and have done a lot better.
Rating: Summary: WAY overhyped......WAY Review: This is not only NOT one of the funniest movies of the nineties, it's also not really all that funny, period. I love the Farrelly brothers, especially "Dumb and Dumber", but this movie misses the mark. The reason most people claim to love this movie so much is because of all the gross scenes. They thought that if they said they didn't like the movie, people would think they were prudish.
Rating: Summary: THERE'S "SOMETHING" ABOUT MARY, BUT WHAT? Review: This is a comedy that could have been very entertaining if it wasn't so confusing. What's confusing about the movie is the title character, Mary, a girl supposedly so irresistable that her prom date tracks her down years later, the private detective hired to locate her falls in love with her at first sight...and basically every man who sees her thinks she's the hottest thing since Marilyn Monroe. But Marilyn Monroe she's not. Truth is, Mary's simply not very sexy. Scarecrow-thin, knock-kneed, gangly, with no breasts and no butt, no curves, no figure whatsoever, she looks like a guy from the front and back. Anna Nicole Smith--with her thrusting breasts, tiny waist and voluptuous hips--or the pneumatic Pamela Lee would have made far better choices to play the part of Mary than Cameron Diaz. Anna Nicole Smith and Pamela Lee have the kind of shapely hourglass figures that men drool over, while Mary just doesn't have it. I sat through the movie confused as to why hordes of men were chasing after a female who was shaped like a twelve-year-old boy. If there's "something" about Mary, please tell me what it is. I sure don't see it.
Rating: Summary: Raunchy, offensive.....FUNNY! Review: I have to admit, the hair gel scene was a bit much, but the rest of this movie was hilarious! I thought that it was one of the funniest movies that I have ever seen! Ben Stiller gave a great performance! So did the rest of the cast! See it!
