Review: This is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. From the start the theme music gets you going and into the opening scene of one of the main characters, Chevy Chase. T.K Carter plays a hilarious supporting role. The relationship between Goldie Hawn and Charles Grodin makes it seem as if they were solely meant for this film. You'll cheer at the ending scene and wish for a sequel. A great way to spend a couple of hours.

Summary: Simon/Sandrich/Hawn: The absurd make perfect sense
Review: Well written, well directed and well acted. It is my all time favorite romantic comedy. The characters are believable and likeable. The court room scene is absolute lunacy, but makes perfect sense because of how skillfully the story was built. I hate movies in which the character's actions are illogical in an attempt to produce humor. This movie ties up all the loose ends. The chemistry between Hawn, Chase and Grodin is magical. This movie is some of their best work. The supporting cast is excellent. I've never understood why there wasn't a sequel. Sandrich has directed fine TV for decades (Mary Tyler Moore Show, Cosby, Lou Grant, Benson, Newhart, Dick Van Dyke, Rhoda ...) and did a superb job in his movie debut.

Review: Working in a video store, I see hundreds of movies each year. Ocassionally, I miss the opportunity to see older films so I try to catch up. Well, my boss recommended to me what would become one of my favorite comedies of all time; Neil Simon's Seems Like Old Times. The movie was laugh-out-loud funny with Chevy Chase at his best. Goldie Hawn and Charles Grodin were also very good in their roles. The music score by Marvin Hamlisch is very festive and enjoyable. Too bad they never released a soundtrack. My only complaint with the film is how it ends. I would have liked to see more happen in it. However, it is a four star movie all around and I am very excited about the DVD release coming in March!

Summary: You're gonna get "mono"...
Review: Wow, what is up with the sound not being remastered? Thats a given these days. The soundtrack sounds as though it was recorded in a bathroom... of a bunker... one mile below sea level... with my old radioshaq tapedeck. Ok, maybe it ain't that bad, but it does have a very "small" sound. Aside from that, the picture transfer is quite good. As for the movie itself, my memory of it was kinder. The movie is in high-gear as long as Chevy is on screen, take him out and what you are left with are a lot of wisecracks that could have used laughtracks, then someone would at least be laughing. Let me conclude this by saying, the soundtrack itself stands up well for a 1980 movie but the technology of the time hinders it greatly.
