Summary: Great movie!
Review: I think this is one of the funniest and best things Neil Simon ever wrote. It's a riot!

For some reason, people seem to forget about this movie. I have no idea why. Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn are great in this! So is Charles Grodin. Actually, there's not a bad thing I can say about this movie. It's got a great story, very likeable characters, and it's a lot of fun.

If you've never seen it, you should see it. If you've already seen it, you should see it again.

Summary: This is easily my family's favorite movie!!
Review: If you appreciate the humor and ease of Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn, you will love this movie. Charles Grodin does a fantastic job of playing the upstanding yet jealous husband in this entertaining romance. This movie has lifted my spirits, as well as my mothers and sisters, since it's release in the 80's.

Summary: Relaxing, cheerful fun
Review: If you're looking for a movie to cheer you up, then consider watching "Seems Like Old Times." It's a fun, enjoyable picture with a great cast and an amusing story. I'm glad Columbia Pictures released "Seems Like Old Times" to DVD so I can finally watch it in wide-screen format.

Summary: Bursting At The Seems
Review: Legendary playwright Neil Simon decided to take the plunge and author his first original screenplay that turned out to be Seems Like Old Times. The comedy also reunites Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase, who proved to have sparkling chemistry two years earlier for 1978's Foul Play. Throw in wry neurotic Charles Grodin and its going to be a funny and worthwhile film experience.

Kindhearted lawyer Glenda Parks's (Hawn) desire to lend a helping hand is evident in the number of stray dogs she has taken in. Her husband Ira (Grodin) is a straight laced button down district attorney with ambitons on higher political office. When Glenda's ex-husband Nick Gardenia (Chase), a struggling writer who has been forced to rob a bank, shows up on her doorstep seeking refuge from the authorities, she takes him in--setting in motion a series of comedic situations as she attempts to keep him hidden from uptight Ira.

Veteran television sit-com director Jay Sandrich, the man responsible for getting such classics, like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Soap, Benson and The Cosby Show off the ground, puts his talent to good use. He has no problem leading Hawn, Chase and Grodin around. The trio are just great together and work well. Chase's trademark slapstick skills are used effectively and sporadically. The supporting cast also sparks the film along. Sandrich show vets Robert Guillaume as Ira's pal Fred, Harold Gould as Judge Channing, and Yvonne Wilder as the Parks maid Aurora, deliver the goods. At times, the film is structured like a stage play and that's a bit hard to escape.

The only extra on the DVD is the theatrical trailer. I wish there were more--still, sharp comedic timing makes Seems Like Old Times, a worthy screwball romantic comedies from a true master, Neil Simon.

Summary: A MUST HAVE !!!
Review: My favorite line in the whole movie : When shown a picture of the ex-husband (Chevy Chase) to the new husband,(Charles Grodin) new husband Grodin is asked "Who do you see here?" Grodin replys...."Hitler...I see Adolf Hitler". The dialogue is hillarious through out the entire movie. And by the way....dont miss the very last scene...it is amazing.

Review: One of the best movies I've ever seen. Could watch it over and over again. Just the mention of Chicken Pepperoni in our house gets a laugh.

Summary: If these are old times, more of them please!
Review: Seems Like Old Time is still one of my all time favorite films. This film is almost too funny for its own good. A terrific throwback to the sophisticated comedies of the 30's and 40's updated for the 80's. It's too bad that they just don't make these kinds of comedies anymore. Goldie is in top form, Charles Grodin is so dry and wonderful and Chevy Chase should've never moved beyond this type of film. He and Hawn made magic before in Foul Play and it was great to see them together again. Buy it! Oh and keep any eye out for Aurora, the Parks' housekeeper and her infamous Chicken Pepperoni, no one can get enough of it.
