Review: Clerks is a great movie, I love everything that Kevin Smith does. But Clerks started it all. This movie has great acting, and is true to life (with a little comedy added in). Dante is the typical law abiding guy who will do something wrong only once in a while. While his sidekick is how we all would want to be.

Review: From the characters to the jokes to what happens in the storyline, everything made me laugh until I thought I couldn't breathe anymore. I loved the characters such as Dante, Randal, Jay, and Silent Bob. The storyline with Dante's love life had twists and turns that I found very laughable. And Silent Bob's quote was the best. If you're in the mood for a profound comedy, make Clerks your selection.

Summary: This movie is a 20 something Seinfeld with a kick.
Review: A bunch of 20 something kids in dead end jobs attempt to build themselves up, and create a sense of self worth. This day in the life picture is something that stands out to people of that age. As you look at the way Kevin Smith put all of this together it is very obvious that there were items of interelatedness to it all. He has created themes and stuck to them so there is obvious continuity. The humor was great, and the premise was strong. The swearing was a bit much, but it was real. All in all this is a great film to see even if it is just so that you can see what life is like for a bunch of bored kids.

Summary: Proves that not every independant film sucks
Review: Clerks is an excellent film about the friendship and adventures of two men in a single day. As the first installment of the "Jersey Trilogy" it presents names and mini stories used in later films, much the way Mel Brooks does. Dante and Randall have several unusual conversations that are more realistic than most of us would admit to. If you hate your job and your customers, it will ease your blue collar suffering and definately make you laugh. There is something new to be discovered with every viewing. See Kevin's Director's cut if you can find it, it adds a lot, even though its only like 13 minutes longer.

Summary: the brilliance of writer director kevin smith
Review: clerks is a brilliant movie that all to often finds it self remembered for its crude sexual humor. when in reality clerks is the study of life, it is everything and nothing all at the sametime. it's also a rather classic love story in which a guy has blown it with his girlfriend and has to try and fix matters before they escalate. and all in all the writing of this film is some of the sharpest you will ever hear, its a movie in which you can close your eyesand let the words carry you along. and if you enjoy this film i highly recomend his other two films, Mallrats and Chasing Amy which are on their own seperate levels of brilliance. keep an eye out for his next film dogma ( this man is also one of the major reasons good will hunting exists)

Review: Clerks is one of those movies that in my opinon is a movie about nothing. I guess thats what makes it so enjoyable to watch. Its about two guys, Dante and Randle average day at there average job. There misadventures, and Dante constantly torn between two women, and ranting about how he is not suppost to be at work on his day off. And Randles constant one lines, and torment of the customers is another plus in movie. END
