Review: Many films try to be hip and cool; Pulp Fiction is hip and cool.Quentin Tarantino's screenplay is astonishingly witty, sharp, and intelligent. The script expertly touches on many social, cultural, and religious aspects of the American society.
Tarantino's direction, with many borrowed methods and techniques from other filmmakers, is quite stylish. The cast is among the best ever assembled. John Travolta turns in a wonderful performance as Vincent Vega. Samuel L. Jackson delivers quite his best performance as Jules Winnfield - the philosophical hit man. He speaks his lines with a cold determination. Uma Thurman is impeccable as Mia Wallace. The soundtrack fits nicely with the context of the film. Pulp's pacing slows down towards the middle of the film but it does not hinder the film's overall effect. If you don't mind objectionable language and material, I urge you to give Pulp Fiction a try.

Review: You know what, some people say that this movie sucks because it is way too hard to follow in story. I don't believe a word of that. The first time I watched the movie I wasn't a bit confused about this movie's un-cohesive plot. This movie is reminiscent of the Pulp comics and magazines from yester-year, with it's high octane violence, graphic depiction of drugs, and of course...sex. What I personally liked about Pulp was that characters can enter or exit the movie at anytime without much explanation. One minute you see John Travolta...next minute he is blown to bits by a M-16 machine gun. No questions asked. Quentin definitely establishes that he knows what he doing, with unique camera angles, sparkling script, and wonderful acting...some of it done by the master himself! I reccomend anyone watch this movie. It's completely awesome if you can handle the content. oh yeah. "saved by a miracle of God" refers to a memorable line by Samuel L Jackson who plays a hitman that is convinced that the reason he survived near death is beacuse God's mighty hand came down and stopped the bullets. He soon quits his profession while on the other hand John Travolta stays...and we all know what happens to him! heh heh heh heh heh heh

Summary: One of the best films I've seen in years.
Review: Pulp Fiction, in my opinion ,is truly the kind of film that really has all the elements of a great film that I will probably never forget.Director Quentin Tarentino directed this well deserved Academy Award winning film that delivers everything a moviegoer would expect.Great acting,story and a really cool soundtrack make this film worth seeing.The film is violent at times and there are some scenes that are really graphic.John Travolta and Samuel L.Jackson both play hitmen.Bruce Willis plays a down on his luck boxer.Vinge Rhames delivers a really great performance as a crime boss.Uma Thurman,his wife.Tim Roth and Amanda Plummer as lovers who get off on robbing people.Christopher Walken and Harvey Keitel both appear in hilarious appearences.A group of stories all connect into one terrific film that really took me on a trip.I forgot to mention Eric Stoltz and Rosanna Arquette.Both of their performances are well written.The entire cast was well written.The scene where Samuel L.Jackson recites a bible passage before killing Frank Wayles has to be the coldest but most impressive scenes in filmmaking to date.If you havent seen Pulp Fiction,give it a try.It deserves to be seen.

Summary: One of my favorite movies of all time!
Review: This movie is amazing! It has everything! It has action, drama, comedy. The actting is great & so creative. All the characters were so well developed. You just felt like you knew all the characters so well. This is by far the best job John Travolta has ever done. Samuel L. Jackson is very funny & creative as well, so is the rest of the cast. Quentin Tarintino has introduced us to a different kind of film-making. The main reason this movie was so well liked & enjoyed by so many people is because of the creative dialog it has. The way Tarintino told the story & mixed things up is just amazing film-making which isn't seen very often. Even though some of the content is rough, this movie is so smart & stylish that it's worth everybody viewing.

Review: Pulp Fiction was the movie to see in 1994! A huge ensemble cast, insanely hilarious story(s), a killer soundtrack, and top notch direction from Quentin Tarantino make this one of the best jaw-dropping films ever! It's hard to pick a favorite performance: There's John Travolta's ultra-cool (but not to smart when it comes to taking a dump at a potential hit's apartment) Vincent Vega , way suave with the ladies and super responsible to the end. Or there's the scripture spouting, jerry-curl toting Samuel L. Jackson, the voice of reason who always keeps his cool. The tough as nails, don't tread on me, boxer played by Bruce Willis. The beautiful Uma Thurman in a heart stopping performance. Ving Rhames as the violated crime boss. Eric Stoltz as the hippy drug dealer. Tim Roth as the small time crook. Harvey Keitel as Mr. Wolf (or is it Mr. Clean). Tarantino himself as a way too stressed, slur spewing owner of a garage and some really dorky clothes. Extreme in its violence, outlandish in its performances, the best part of the movie is in the dialogue alone. Theological discussions over murder or just a reason not to eat pork the magic in Pulp Fiction lies in the script! At least Tarantino wasn't gipped out at the Academy Awards on that front. A timeless classic that is definitely not for the kiddies. If you don't own the movie or the soundtrack you either weren't born when this movie came out, aren't human, or have a serious lack of a social life. A truly essential movie to add to your home collection!

Review: One thing is for sure, this film certainly knows how to offend the right people -- And that's why it's so great. Quentin Tarantino's PULP FICTION is a rare masterpiece that is unlikely to be repeated by him, or his imitators. And believe me, many have tried, with varying levels of success. Tarantino pulls out all of the stops with Pulp Fiction -- stupendous dialogue, discourses on the meaning of life, flash-backs, weird camera angles, brutal torture and fascinating people. These extended sequences of talking are like a trademark, providing insights into the characters and lulls between the bouts of frenetic violence, which occur in everything that this director touches. However, true to the theme of pulp magazines, these linked stories have no connection with reality and the actors, realising this, play their parts with gusto. It seems churlish to pick Travolta and Jackson as the stars, since everyone is convincing in their portrayals, but these two are great foils to each other and provide an intriguing core to the movie. Combined with a superb soundtrack, which both fits into the action and provides a setting for it, the effect is akin to a 154-minute roller-coaster ride; exhilarating but exhausting. Now I'm certain that everyone reading this review has seen Pulp Fiction but that doesn't matter. See it again. Now.

Summary: Movie that has changed the face of film making for ever
Review: My favourite movie of all time. Quentin Tarantino has reminded us what a powerful art medium the celluloid could be by making a bold, chronologically ripped movie which mesmerises you with its characters, dialogue and music. The story is about Ving Rhames and his hit men, wife and sundry other partners-in-crime. The film though is not for all tastes - I have not met a person who 'just liked it'; they either love it (the lucky ones) or hate it (have mercy on their souls). The dialogues are sharp and witty and every character is perfectly cast. What do they call a quarter pounder with cheese in Paris? Royale with Cheese, baby, Royale with Cheese!

Summary: LIKE AN ACID TRIP TO REALITY!
Review: This movie is so riveting, I had to go back to the theater 4 times to see it to make sure that this was really in a movie! From the first scene to the last, the audience is taken on a roller coaster that is going backwards! People are getting shot, stabbed, beaten and molested all OVER the place. With stars like John Travolta, Samuel Jackson, Harvey Keitel, Bruce Willis, and even a cameo by Quentin himself, this movie SIZZLES from second to second. Travolta is a hit man for Ving Rames' character and also a heroin addict. When he takes Ving's girlfriend, played by the sexy Uma Thurman, out to dinner as a favor and she OD's on his heroin thinking it's cocaine-O MY GOSH-what happen's then and throughout the movie is AWESOME! Keitel as the dutyful "cleaner"(didn't he do that in another movie with Bridget Fonda?) is GREAT. I can't stress how riveting this movie is---YOU JUST HAVE TO SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT! Definately NOT for the faint hearted(no pun intended) or kiddies! Quentin, you a one twisted but totally cool DUDE!

Review: Pulp Fiction is not the greatest film of all time, as some would contend, but it is probably the best of the nineties, or, according to Roger Ebert, the second best. Pulp Fiction is the story of a day or two in the lives of some small-time criminals. We never think of the characters as criminals, though. We see them as real people who just happen to be caught up in sticky situations. Tarantino shows us their professional lives as hitmen, crooked boxers, and crime-bosses, but also ventures to show us their personal sides as friends, lovers, and redeemers. The film is told in four segments. One involves a pair of lovey-dovey restaurants robbers, the next, two low-rent hitmen (played to perfection by John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson.) Next is a story about an ill-fated date between Vincent (Travolta) and Mia Wallace, (Uma Thurman) who happens to be the wife of his vindictive boss. Third is a vignette about boxer Butch (Bruce Willis), who, after accidentally killing a guy, plans to take it on the lam, but unexpectedly runs into his vengeful employer (Ving Rhames.) All the stories and characters connect in some way or another at certain parts of the film, and these are the best parts. I have never seen a film like Pulp Fiction, that so perfectly combines violence, outrageous humor, and offbeat scenarios. Not for the faint-hearted, but always interesting and never boring...

Summary: Still a great movie, but no extras on the DVD
Review: I recently bought a DVD player and the only movie I have bought which I didn't already have on VHS was "Pulp Fiction." If you have the VHS, save your money. The DVD contains no extra features at all. Maybe we're just getting spoiled by voluminous DVD extras like those on "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "The Sixth Sense", but a DVD with no extras seems like a box of Cracker Jacks with no toy surprise.
