Summary: A Great Movie
Review: All of the cast delivered excellent performances including many big actors today like John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, and Samuel Jackson.
The movie itself is very funny, but you have to have a good sense of humor because it is usually about serious subject matter such as death, drugs, and murder, etc. (These are criminals!) Anyway it has a messed up chronology where the beginning isnt really the beggining and the end isn't really the end, and all though it is tough to follow at first it'll keep your attention and if you dont get it still, you can watch it again. Definitly worth the bucks, this one comes highly recommended, although I might wait for the special edition to come out because it has more special features :)

Summary: An Empty Shell
Review: Movies like Pulp Fiction depress me. A young director, lacking depth, emotional maturity and even humanity, attempts to "wow" the audience through gratuitous violence and sadism. Killers are stylish, careless brutality is funny, human beings are reduced to caricatures -- I dunno, maybe I'm too old for this ... Maybe I've seen too much brutality in real life to see this exploitive trash as "entertainment." Desensitize the audience, fake an attempt at profundity through carnival-like violence, take a human being and make him the "Gimp" while we laugh. Hand out the awards and the five stars....

Summary: Great dialogue! Quentin Tarantino is brilliant!!!
Review: I have owned this movie for years, someone bought it for me as a gift and just yesterday I watched it for the first time. I was completely blown away. This film was so wonderful! The dialogue was genius, John Travolta and Samuel L. Jakcson made a great on-screen team. I can't put into words how great this movie was. Go do yourself a favor and buy this, even if you haven't yet seen it. You won't be dissapointed!

Summary: John Travolta? Samuel L Jackson!? TOGETHER?!
Review: Pulp Fiction, starring John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson, and Bruce Willis. This movie has about 3 plots for you to get hooked on. Some of them happen before and after each other but some of them are right in a row. One problem with this movie is that it mixes the scenes up and makes it kind of confusing for some. However the action and the suspense of each of these plots makes it well worth the confusion. This movie has the same slyness of John Travolta in Sword Fish and has the same badass attitude of Samuel L Jackson in Coming to America. Every plot has its own twists and turns and action of every kind. On a downer note however, the scenes of this movie are even too graphic for Rated R Movies. If you liked Fight Club and Sword Fish then you'll want to add this movie to your collection.

Summary: A Must See!!!
Review: This is not a movie for the prissy right-wing pin-headed types. They will not GET it. They will complain about the violence and profanity. They will complain about the non-linear time line and the racial slurs. The viewer needs to be able to look beyond the these matters and enjoy what is an extremely well crafted movie. Teenagers will find this movie "cool", but won't know why, and [older folks] will find this movie highly offensive, strictly for the subject matter. Mature and intelligent viewers will understand what is going on and be utterly amazed. Just allow more than one viewing to let it all soak in...

Summary: Royale with cheese!
Review: I seem to have an insatiable appetite for talking about this movie. Sam Jackson is phenomenal. The movie keeps your mind occupied throughout, as do most Quentin Tarantino movies. Every actor - Sam Jackson, Travolta, Ving Rhames, Uma, Harvey Keitel, Bruce Willis - is perfect for his/her role. And the dialogues, they are to die for. See this movie, and I'll gaurantee you'll spend hours talking about the big kahuna burger, le big mac, royale with cheese, pigs, Zed, marcelles wallace, the wallet, etc. This movie is too good to not belong on anyone's must-see list.

Summary: American Classic!
Review: Incredible! Awesome! Superb! These only just begin to describe one of the greatest American movies ever made. From beginning to end, you can't help but be mesmerized by the excellent writing/directing of Tarantino to the acting of Travolta, Jackson, Thurman, Keitel, etc. Snappy & witty dialogue make this one a keeper.
However, if you're one of those typical "American" movie-goers who has to have everything spelled out, in perfect order, completely wrapped up in a neat, little package and don't like to use your brain, then this movie isn't for you. If, on the other hand, you do have a brain and do like to enjoy a movie (rather than just "watching"), then this movie is definitely for you. Should easily have won Best Picture over Forrest Gump, please!!

Summary: Wonderfully quotable small talk! Improves w/ each watching
Review: "Pulp Fiction" is just a classic! This movie has some of the best dialogue of any movie I've ever seen: Discussions about how intimate a foot massage is, $5 milkshakes, the differences between fast food in Amsterdam, Paris and the U.S., the art of body piercing, appreciation of good coffee, etc. There's no way to explain WHY these topics are interesting. "Pulp Fiction" just makes them interesting--trust me. The movie essentially follows four stories: a romantically involved couple who also are hold-up artists, two hitmen, Jules (Samuel L. Jackson) and Vincent (John Travolta) on a job, Vincent's "date" with his boss's wife (Uma Thurman), and a boxer (Bruce Willis) who is paid to take a fall. These seemingly unrelated story lines eventually weave back together, to a certain extent, and each is fascinating. Quentin Tarantino's decision to follow a non-linear plot also adds to the movie's interest. Characters we see killed in a previous scene reappear later--because "later" is really earlier, chronologically. Ultmately, the movie comes full circle, and it's quite a fun ride. For an interesting perspective on the movie, watch for the way the power shifts. At any given time, there's usually one or two characters with power--and how the power shifts and who winds up with the power is fascinating. This is especially true during Jules and Vincent's ride after their hit, their visit to Tarantino, a very put-out host and their encounter with Harvey Keitel, the ultimate problem solver.

Review: I've long been expecting that "Pulp Fiction" would some day come out on dvd the way it deserves. I hope there would be loads of interesting special features as those present in "From Dusk Till Dawn: Dimension Collector's Series"; another Tarantino classic. I've got a feeling that this one will probably be the greatest Dvd ever produced since "Terminator 2: Judgement Day". Buy it, you certainly won't regret it. Tarantino is without doubt the 1990's god of pulp cinema, and a collector's series of his best movie ever will certainly be welcomed with open arms!

Summary: Pulp Confusion!!
Review: In Quentin Tarantino's critically acclaimed movie, Pulp Fiction, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, and John Travolta do something to someone while trying to get some money for their boss. They spend the movie carrying around a briefcase with something that lights up inside of it. The combination to the briefcase is "666" and all the clocks in the movie are set at 4:20. There, I listed all of the things I know about Pulp Fiction. I have watched the movie 5+ times and I still have absolutely no idea what is going on. Everyone says they know what is in the briefcase (Samuel Jackson's soul) and because the combination to the briefcase is 666, that means he sold his soul to the devil. Whatever the case may be, I just don't "get" this movie. There are some very entertaining exchanges of dialogue between Jackson and Travolta and some great cinematography, but for the most part I have to say I am not a big fan of Pulp Ficton. When I finish watching a movie, I don't like to turn to the person next to me and ask them what it was about. Of course, on the flipside, maybe this is the brilliance of the movie. Maybe we are not supposed to understand it, maybe we shouldn't have wasted our money on this DVD. I would at least watch this movie once just to be able to discuss it with other people, but I would borrow it from a friend. Save your money for something else.
