Summary: RACE RACE RACE RACE RACE
Review: I haven't heard so many racial jokes since the Rodney King incident. Actually, there were last jokes when that happened. A movie to forget and wait for the next Martin Lawerence film.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: Okay
Review: I wasn't expecting much from the film, "National Security," but what I got wasn't that great either.

This film revolves around a man (Martin Lawrence) who is trying to be a cop. He gets kicked out of the police academy and must resort to being a security guard. One day he comes face to face with a police officer (Steve Zahn) who accidently thinks Lawrence's character is breaking into a car. What happens next looks like a Rodney King beating, but really isn't. Zahn's character is sent to jail and when he gets out can only find a job as a security guard. Zahn's partner was also killed, so once he's out of jail, he's on a quest to find his partner's killer. Lawrence and Zahn then team up, under crazy circumstances, to find the killers and bring them to justice.

There are a few funny moments in the movie, but they are far and few between. Martin Lawrence's previous films, such as "Bad Boys" and "Nothing to Lose" were much better and funnier. I would have to agree with others when they say there were too many racial jokes throughout the film. Just about every sentence that came out of Martin's mouth had some sort of racial slur in it. After awhile it became very annoying.

Those who really enjoy Martin Lawrence's films may enjoy this movie, but I would suggest just leaving this one on the shelf and waiting for "Bad Boys 2" to come out this summer.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: This is a movie that really deserves a big award. Its hilarious at many points and never gets boring. The shootout scenes are very fun to watch. The part where they are hiding on the back of the truck and are on the bridge, something goes terribly wrong, and is, in my opinion, the most hilarious part on the movie.
Get the dvd or vhs, it's worth every penny.

Summary: Racial
Review: This movie really deserves a "0" star, it is Martin Lawrence's worst movie yet. The movie is racial from beginning to end and I sure don't recommend it to anyone who is a fan of Martin Lawrence's because it will leave you shaking your head in disgust.

Summary: HA HA...no....
Review: First off I like Martin Lawrence in most of his works, but this movie wasn't good at all. I can admit there were points in the movie where I laughed, but those points could all be seen in the Minute Preview (trailor) you see. I hope you dont waste your money on this DVD anytime soon. Just rent it, because its not worth being on ur shelf. My mom rented this dvd, and it was seriously boooooorrrrrriiiiiinnnnngggg. Also has too much RACISM in the movie. Martin Lawrence disses White People every 5 seconds of the movie, and recently a lot of black films do that. I seriously didnt like it.

Overall- 2 Stars for the 4 or 5 lil funny parts.

Summary: Racism is unacceptable in ANY form!
Review: Although this movie had it's funny points, it was unfortunately a deplorable festival of racism. If a movie was made taking such a high degree of ill opportunity at any other race, it would be deemed unfit and would have been banned and labeled as the biggest injustice in the movie business. Well, it is. This is the very garbage that continues to perpetuate racism in America. This is an utter disgrace. Shame on you Martin Lawrence and shame on you Hollywood for making a film so insensitive and hateful. If you are even remotely fair of mind, DO NOT buy or rent this film.

Summary: HAve ratings really gotten so weak
Review: As with Kangaroo Jack and Darkness Falls this is another entry that makes me question the rating system anymore. National Security is a title that five years ago would of been R for language. Today it is PG-13.

The story behind National Security is that Martin Lawrence is training to be part of the LAPD. However with that mouth of his and recklessness he never passes training. Steve Zahn is a cop who just lost his partner in a shoot out. Martin Lawrence one day accidentally locks his keys in his car and is trying to reach in to open up his car. Zahn shows up thinking Lawrence is trying to steal the car. LAwrence starts throwing his mouth and eventually Zahn trys to arrest him, a little more forcefully but still trying to arrest him. Then a Bee shows up which Lawrence is allregic to. Zahn trys to swat it as Lawrence is screaming like a school girl and a family get this all on tape. Zahn is arrested and goes to jail for 6 months. WHen he gets out he becomes a security guard. From there he inadvertadly ends up working with Lawrence and they get tangled in a big crime scheme.

The reason this should of been R is language, probably the deciding factor in many films. LAwrence uses every piece of profanity in the book with this movie and it still ends up with a PG-13 rating. Overall this movie should of been R or at least found something less colorful for the dialouge. THey might as well of had some Nudity in there as well becasue I doubt the R rating would of been given for that as well.

Summary: Don't waist your time....
Review: Please, whatever you do, do not waist your time thinking about renting or buying this movie. I once was a HUGE fan of Martin Lawrence, but when I sat down and watched "National Security", I vowed to myself never to watch another one of his movies again.

The constant barrage of racially charged comments aimed at white folks that spew from his pie-hole thoroughly disgusted & enraged me. I walked out 25 minutes into the movie. The basic story of the movie was a good one, but he (Lawrence) just ruined it by being in it. Every step of the way, Lawrence's character is backstabbing this white cop, (who's problems started by meeting Lawrence's character) who is just trying to make it through his difficulties and find the guys who killed his former partner.

I am ashamed to be of the same race as Martin Lawrence.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Movie!
Review: I saw this movie at the theater and it was great. I know some people didn't like this movie, my dad didn't. But I had a great experience when I saw this movie. You should see this. P.S.: Blue Streak is good too.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: SO FUNNY
Review: Listen, I am truly sorry to those who were offended by this movie and I am not a racist or anything but I laughed so hard during this film. The main point of this movie is two guys who are security gaurds that have had a huge conflict in the past trying to work together to stop bad guys from stealing a very rare metal. The details of this movie are like this. Truly, there are racist jokes but don't go accusing this film to being so offensive because SOUTH PARK has atleast 100X more jokes and lots of people give it good reviews. But don't let that stop you from watching this movie cuz this is not a discriminating movie. National Security has tons of moments that can a person laugh his or head off. It is as funny as BLUE STREAK and is as intense as BAD BOYS. Martin Lawrence hasn't been doing that great ever since Blue Streak. After all, BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE was just a shade under being ok and BLACK NIGHT sucked and there were points in both of the movies where I nearly fell asleep. This film didn't come close to making me sleep. This is an improvement of Lawrence's acting and also in Zahn's career. Zahn doesn't make much of a good action star but he a trmendous performance in this film and his film before which was SAVING SILVERMAN wasn't good. So as far as I am concerned, Get this when it comes out on video.
