Summary: Please give them the benefit of the doubt.
Review: Probably this film is a bit silly here and there, but hey! It's supposed to be a comedy! It's not meant to be Die Hard, y'know...
I own the region 2 version of the DVD, so I don't know if the same scene-for-scene comment of director Michael Lehmann appears on the region 1 version. I couldn't help but feel a lot of sympathy for him.
You can't win all the time. Besides, he's right: this film was a MAJOR hit in Europe... The tomato ketchup scene is hilarious.

Summary: One of my favorites
Review: I don't know why everybody gave this movie such a hard time. When I was 9 I first saw it in the theater and I could not stop laughing. Sandra Bernhard steals the show as the wacky billionaire wife. Her's is probably one of the best performances I have ever seen. Get this now!!!

Summary: FOR MASOCHISTS ONLY
Review: This movie hits the bottom of the barrel with a wet splat. I have never seen a movie that is so mind-bogglingly terrible. It is amazing. You wil feel dirty, used, and betrayed after watching it. You may even contract a disease from it. It just reeks badness. Bruce Willis, who I have always liked up to now, is like the kind of obnoxious, self-obsessed child who is convinced everything he says and does is endlessly amusing. Plus he wasted 80 million dollars on this utterly useless pile of caca. How many good, small movies could have been made with that money? The one saving grace is Richard E. Grant as a hyperactive madman, but that's not enough to rescue this amazingly awful movie.

Summary: look up "surreal" in the dictionary. it says see Hudson Hawk
Review: I didn't see this movie until quite recently, since I took the critics at their word that it was truly awful... I wouldn't even have seen it if a friend hadn't insisted. About 20 minutes into it, we looked at each other and said "this is a spoof, right?" And it IS! Once we figured that out, and our brains stopped hurting from all the plot twists, we had the best time. We laughed until our ribs hurt.

This movie is gloriously surreal. Almost no one is who or what they seem (except for the insane people), and the comic touches are inspired. Timing burglaries by pop standards?!

The film makers saw the top, and simply used it as a springboard for bigger and better wackiness. Any film which casts Sandra Bernhard as a gold-plated billionaire out for world domination is simply NOT taking itself too seriously.

Not everyone will like this film, in fact I'm pretty sure many people will hate this film. But if you thrive on strangeness and sheer fun, RENT IT, BUY IT, WATCH IT!

Summary: A good, fun movie
Review: I count this movie as being one of my favorite comedies, being right up there with The Three Amigos. I agree with the other reviewers who state that most people thought this was going to be in the vein of 'Die Hard'. I am an avid Bruce Willis fan and this film reminded me of his days on Moonlighting. A good plot, great music and a LOT of irreverence! I would recommend this to anyone with a mature sense on humor and at least 1/2 of a brain.

Summary: Great fun for anyone with a good sence of humor.
Review: Another great film from Bruce Willis. The action and plot in this is use to make fun of todays typical action films. The poor admiration this generated when released was to the fact that people were expecting Die Hard 3. I Think anyone with a good sence of humor should take a look at Hudson Hawk.

Summary: Would you like to swing on a star....
Review: Hey, what can I say, this is a very hilarious movie. Bruce did an excellent job on this movie. Every song in this movie is a definate sing along! Dont believe the hype, if you love sensless comedy, this movie is for you!

Summary: Pass this one up... Silly, not funny
Review: I was really bored watching this movie and actually fell asleep toward the end. I agree with the majority out there that thinks this movie is one of the worse of all time. I just wish I can recover the hour and forty minutes of my life that I wasted watching this film.

Summary: Silly And Forgettable
Review: I saw this movie when it first was released, and just didn't care for it. I'm sure there are certain people that like this, but I just thought it was totally silly and not any good. Not recommended.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A surreal cartoonish spoof
Review: What were the reviewers expecting, "Die Hard 5"? Trust me, the movie does make sense, if you can think in the kind of warped logic required. It's a cult comedy, not a mainstream movie; accept it on those terms and you should enjoy it.
