Summary: the hair on the back of my neck stood up
Review: This movie shocked me. The first time I saw it, the hair on the back of my neck stood up. "Resevoir Dogs" was good. This movie was great. The action is excellent, in a shattered time sequence. Oddly enugh, growing up watching MTV videos, with similarly fragmented story-lines made the story easy for me to follow; not as "artistic" as all the reviews I read when it originally came out had me believe. In fact, the critics had me expecting artsy-film-school-crap, but this movie was pure adreneline. Years (and many, many viewings) later, I still rank his among my favorite movies. It has great dialog, quirky characters, and exquisite viloence. Yet, at the heart of it all is a kick ass story of redemption. Be it Butch's redemption, going out of his way to save Marcellus Wallace instead of leaving him to die, or Jules' deeper "moment of clarity," this movie is worth watching. In fact, despite it's gritty violence, it is still one of the funniest and tought-provoking movies I have ever seen. Sort of Scorsasie meets Milos Foreman... with a little Woody Allen and Clint Eastwood for good measure.

Summary: My favorite movie, and it should be yours too...
Review: The only thing I can say about tarantino is GENIOUS. The wonderful thing about this movie is the down-to-earth dialogue. You could listen to this movie as a book on tape and still laugh your ass off. And the acting is absolutely amazing. This is one of the best cast's I have ever seen, from Samuel L Jackson, John Travolta and Bruce Willis...to Uma Thurman, Harvey Keitel and Tim Roth and even a cameo from Tarantino himself. At first you think this movie is about somewhat important people, with them wearing black suits and all. And then you slowly realize it shows the storys of the Scum of the Earth and how these 8 people or so all interact and eventually mean a lot to each other by either killing one and other or taking their wives out on dates. I love the low-budgety look thats portrayed from the film, taking place in Urban neighborhoods in LA, bars, gun shops, and Locker Rooms. The best scene is by far the scene with Tarantino in his house, where they have to "clean-up" Marvin. Well I don't want to give to much away...but I guarantee if you see this you'll love it...or hate it its really up to you. But if you love it...see anything Tarantino.

Summary: Greatest Movie since the Godfather
Review: This movie is so unbelievable. Great plot, dialogue, cast, and direction. An all-star cast of John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, Uma Thurman, Tim Roth, Ving Rhames, and Bruce Willis that each play to their best. Samuel L. Jackson has some of the best lines in this movie, including his Ezekial speech. This movie clinches Jackson's title as "Coolest Man on Earth". Christopher Walken, for as little as he is in this movie, delivers one of the most hilarious monologues I have ever heard. Tarantino's attention to detail is at its best here and the pop culture references are abundant. As far as the violence factor, most of it is inferred or it happens of camera. Some of the violence is also diffused by some comedy immediately following. The intermingling of the stories bookended by the restaurant scene really keeps the movie together. Tarantino will have a tough time topping this film.

Review: What can I say? This movie rocks! It kicks ... buttocks! Blew me away the first time I saw it, and I still love it. A great spring movie. Despite all the death in the movie, it's somehow life-affirming. Weird, huh? Also, I just got the SE DVD and discovered that there's an English & French Digitial Dolby 2.0 soundtracks which aren't even listed on the box! Even if French isn't up your alley, it's still hilarious to watch Samuel L. Jackson give his hell and damnation speech in French! And the frogs LOVE this movie. If you want to say the title in French, it's pronounced, "Feek-see-own Pool-perz" Ciao, pussycat...

tarantino not only portrays killing, snorting coke, shooting smack and drug dealing realistic but he portrayed as "hip" or "cool" that shouldnt be shown in movies that killing is cool only if it speaks the truth
plus uma thurman acted like she was mother teresa in this movie which i couldnt stand,
other than those things the film is fantastic and well written and directed id recommend it for indie and black humor fans

Summary: Pulp Fiction- No One Does It Like Tarantino Can
Review: Pulp Fiction, the 1994 film which stunned the world. Critics hailed this film as "the film which has redefined motion
pictures in the 20th century," and it surely did.
Quentin Tarantion followed up with Pulp Fiction after his superb debut, Reservoir Dogs, infact it's hard for me to say which I liked better, because they're equally phenomenal. Pulp Fiction also led many actors on the road to stardom including John Travolta who delivered a great performance, but the real star here is Samuel L. Jackson as Jules Winnfield. Jackson just has a presence on screen which is fantastic, his portrayal of anger is displayed so realistically and whenever he recites a certain passage from the Bible, it makes you quiver in a sense.
The film revolves around three different stories, one involving two hitmen, Travolta and Jackson another involving a boxer (Bruce Willis) and the 3rd involves a couple planning on robbing a restaurant (Tim Roth and Plummer). Also features nice performances from Ving Rhames who plays the manager of Willis who soon gets involved in a huge dispute with him, Uma Thurman who plays Mia Wallce, she's the girl John Travolta has to babysit. Eric Stolz as Lance, Harvey Keital as Mr. Wolf, Christopher Walken and Quentin Tarantino also show up in some cameo performances. Tarantino along with Roger Avary won the oscar for Best Original Screenplay in the 1995 Academy Awards and it's easy to see why. This is one the best films of the decade, and still remains to be, it's a cult classic.
Pulp Fiction is rated R for Strong Graphic Violence and Drug Use, Pervasive Strong Language and Some Sexuality. The violence is graphic, and you're obviously going to be expecting that, I mean come on it's a Quentin Tarantino film. Violence includes bloody gunplay and fisticuffs. The profanity is excessive and non-stop essentially and it's also quite strong.
Drug Use and sexual innuendo, there is a nasty and unpleasant rape sequence, but not exceptionally explicit. There's also implied nudity, specifialliy when Bruce Willis gets out of the shower and we really don't need to see, well I'll leave that to your imagination. All in all, a fine picture and definetly is worth owning on Video or DVD, specifally the Collector's Edition on DVD, it's packed with special features. Add this to your collection and check other Tarantion films: Reservoir Dogs, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Vol. 1 and soon to be released Kill Bill, Vol. 2. (April 16, 2004).

Summary: A True Masterpeice
Review: When Quentin Tarantino made Reservoir Dogs, it gave him a firm start. When 1994 rolled around, he gave us this, which let everyone know who he was. This movie, without a doubt, is one of the best movies to ever grace the silver screen. Any aspect that is looked upon shines with a golden glow, not unlike the mysterious breifcase shown in the film.
Acting beyond perfection, editing that will make your head spin, a script that runs circles around almost all others, direction that should be studied forever, and a soundtrack that you will either buy or download shortly after hearing it all combine to make a truly sublime experience.
The story consists of three stories that dance around each other throughout the film. One is about a hitman Vicent Vega (played to perfection by John Travolta, reheating his then cold career) that takes out (it's not a date!) his boss's (a brilliant Ving Rhames) wife (Uma Thurman). The dialog between these two characters is truly amazing, especially at the dinner table. The second story is about a boxer, Butch (Bruce Willis), and the aforementioned boss, Marselus Wallace, and their agreement of Butch taking a dive in his next fight in exchange for a hefty sum. There is brialliance to be found here also, specifically in the internal conflict in Butch on whether or not he should return to the basement of a pawn shop and save Marselus from a variatable hell. The third story involves Vincent, the comical Jules (a chilling Samuel L. Jackson), a hilarious character named Jimmie (played by Quentin Tarantino himself), and a problem solver, Winston Wolf (Harvey Keitel). This act is an emotional releif from the previous two, while still staying sharp.
If you havent seen this movie, please do, as you will see a remarkable film. This movie is not for everyone, specifically children, as it contains a plentifull portion of profanity, a considerable ammount of violence, and perverse sexual situations. Those taboo only fuel this beautiful movie though, and should not be seen as a deterrent, rather as a warning.
This award winning film is truly a masterpeice in every sense of the word, so do yourself a favor and if you have not, see it.
