Summary: Were you expecting a masterpiece?
Review: Jay Mohr can be a very funny guy, but since he has to deadpan his role in "Mafia," he can't really cut loose. Interesting that Leslie Nielsen, who's not a comedian at all, is so much better at these "sight gag" movies. I think it's because he looks so righteous and naive, he doesn't make you think he's above the joke. If you love these joke-every-second movies, you've already watched "Mafia." If not, this one's not essential. Of course, it's an improvement over the "Hot Shots" movies. My favorite bit was the goofy casino games they came up with!

Summary: Good old dumb humor!
Review: A good example of an apparently lost art - good old dumb humor. Sight gags and humorous references to other movies galore (Mob movies and other recent hits.) A lot more laughs than what passes for Movie humor lately. Maybe this dates me, but this is this the closest thing to classics like "Airplane!" and "Hot Shots!" that I've seen in some time. Mafia! is not quite on that level, but still lots of yuks for the bucks.

Summary: Diehard AIRPLANE and POLICE SQUAD fans stay clear!
Review: Although this film has a good number of AIRPLANE style gags, after watching the film I still didn't think much of it. I was very disappointed.I love AIRPLANE, POLICE SQUAD/NAKED GUN, HOT SHOTS, style movies and couldn't wait to see MAFIA after watching the trailer - there was such great potential. However the plot kind of gets lost and the 'off the wall' humour rarely stays that way long enough to keep you in stiches. Don't get me wrong there are some really good gags in there, however if you're on a shoestring budget go for the other films I've mentioned above.

Review: This was just terrible, anyone could have made a better movie. Great concept, but they didn't even try. It's too bad that this is talented Lloyd Bridge's last movie, he deserves better (though he tries very hard, it's not his fault). Jay Mohr isn't exactly a funny guy. Just DUMB, which is fine if the movie is actually amusing, but i swear to God I only cracked a smile (not even really a smile--a smirk) once during the whole movie, when there was a parade with The Pope on stilts. And I was -drunk- when I saw it and in a very easily amused mood, too. I've seen Goodfellas and Casino probably 50 times, so I at least had hopes there'd be some funny "in jokes" for fans of these movies. The funniest parts are in the trailer, and the trailer is only mildly amusing. Don't rent it even if you think it's gonna be "Airplane" meets "The Godfather". Even if you have no expectations whatsoever you will be dissapointed. Rent this, and you'll hate yourself afterwards for doing it. Trust me.

Review: Some of the above reviews are written by people with a desire for the "true meaning of life", or some such!! If you have a sarcastic, or cynical bone in your body, you'll love it! You should have seen the Godfather first for obvious reasons, but I don't think that Lloyd Bridges would have wanted to go out any other way.

Review: This movie is very funny ,lots of laughs!!It is also the last movie the late Lloyd Bridges starred in . I love this movie ,it never slows , lots of spoofs of today's hottest movie.one spoof I love is when they "forrest gump". It is also a spoof of "The Godfather" movies . Have fun with movie and enjoy it , buy the dvd and watch your favorite parts whenever you want!!

Review: This video was pointless, and it wasn't even funny! My dad and I thought it was a waste of time and money to watch it. Mafia was disgusting and it didn't make sense, and I hope no one else will waste their time watching it.
