Summary: A Pleasant Surprise...
Review: While I must admit that Jennifer Love Hewitt was one of my main reasons for seeing this film, I was surprised to find myself entertained by this comedy about a mother & daughter con-artist team. Sigourney Weaver plays the mother who lures rich, love-starved men into marrying her. Hewitt, outfitted in an endless array of low-cut, micro mini-skirt dresses, plays her daughter who then seduces the newly-married grooms giving Weaver grounds for divorce-- and accompanying cash settlement!
The movie portrays men as nothing more than empty-headed lugs unable to resist a beautiful woman's charms. The tables are turned when Hewitt falls for a normal working-class bartender. As she struggles with her feelings, her relationship with the bartender soon causes havoc in "the family business."

Summary: Huge disappointment considering the cast
Review: Disappointing comedy that should have been better considering the talent involved. Sigourney Weaver is eye-popping as a con artist who between jobs taking men for all they're worth has a pretty big problem to deal with: her daughter (Jennifer Love Hewitt). Mom has taught her daughter dearest the grift, but little Lolita wants to go legit. Opportunity knocks when the ladies find themselves at a beautiful Florida resort and daughter discovers true romance with the local bartender (Jason Lee, winning personality thoroughly intact). Gene Hackman is hilarious as the smoking addict that Weaver picks as her next project, and Ray Liotta is almost reminiscent of his brilliant work in Something Wild as one of Weaver's previous jobs gone wrong. Featuring some very funny moments, this out of control comedy starts off so right and then squeezes too much into its last third. Hewitt seems promising in her performance at the beginning of the film, but her way-too-sleazy outfits and lack of any comedic timing whatsoever soon destroy what could have been a very charming moment for her. Watch only with an open mind and low expectations.

Summary: A *very* funny movie.
Review: Okay, I admit it, Jennifer Love Hewitt's cleavage has sucked me into many a bad movie (I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, The Suburbans), but this one balanced all those out. Her performance combined with the considerable charm of Jason Lee, who plays the man she intends to con, made this movie fantastic. Sigourney Weaver made a good showing, and apparently I am the *only* person who didn't like her scene in a russian restaraunt. The high point of the movie for me was watching to see what con act got pulled next - and there were some good ones. Despite whatever you've heard from jealous women and their boyfriends, this movie was *very* funny.

Review: "Heartbrakers" isn't your usual film, but then again, what is in this time of age? Sigourney Weaver ("Ghostbusters", "Ghostbusters 2","The Ice Storm", "Alien Resurrection", "The Wedding Contract"), Jennifer Love Hewitt ("I Know What You Did Last Summer", "Can't Hardly Wait", "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer"), Ray Liotta("Goodfellas", "Blow", "Company Man"), Gene Hackman ("Get Shorty", "Heist"), Jason Lee ("Clerks", "Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back"), Jeffrey Jones ("Sleepy Hollow"), and Anne Bancroft ("Keeping The Faith") star in this laugh-out-loud comedy about a mother and daughter scam artist team thats about to get a lesson in the true meaning of love.
Max (Weaver) is a loving mother that wants everything to go right for her daughter, Paige (Hewitt). Max and Paige are scam artists who want to catch a "big fish" before retiring from being con artists. Max was just married to a car-salesman (Liotta) with a lot of money and everything takes wrong turn. Max catches Paige with him and the divorce is set. The next and last target is a rich, senior, cigar-smoking man (Hackman) who lives in Palm Beach, Florida. Max and Paige need to set this one off and then they'll have all the money they'll ever need! Max's bank manager (Bancroft) keeps all the money in a locked account for Max, but then runs away with the money. Now, Paige falls in love with a man who has a fortune waiting for him (Lee). What's going on???
Love takes several turns in this romantic comedy with sugar, spice, and everything thats nice. Weaver and Hewitt stand at their comedic best in this funny movie. Rent it "Heart Away!"

Summary: Stylish and Seductive - what more do you want from Jen Luv H
Review: A good movie makes you leave the cinema with a snile, a bad one leaves you think what you could of spend the money on instead. Amazing movies leave you wanting to see them again, and this is definetely one of them. The plot works so well and the characters were made for the parts, and you will be laughing your head off at Sigourney's russian accent. With the mum and daughter bein con's, it gives the movie an evil twist, which always rubs off well on Stars, especially women. It will leave you aching for more and desperate to get back to the theatre and see it a second, if not third time.

Summary: Groovy, naughty, entertaining movie.
Review: This evil, seductive and intriguing story of two con women who happen to be mother and daughter works surprisingly well. I went into the theatre thinking I wanted to like this movie but when you're actually watching the film it takes no effort whatsoever to enjoy the show. The film is original, crude and witty with heaps of cool plot twists and a great script that dishes up plenty of laughs and shocks. The performances are superb, with Jennifer Love Hewitt giving the best performance of the film as the sexy, smart daughter of a con woman who follows in her mother's footsteps but inside is really just a young girl looking for the right path in love. Hewitt gives a dazzling show and shows there is more to her ability than running from a hooked hand. Sigourney Weaver's neat turn as naughty mother gives her a much-needed villain character (sure, there's Alien, but we're starting to tire of that!) and Ray Liotta's good-turned-bad character is displayed well by his skills. Liotta is having a good year; Hannibal also really impressed me. Maybe Hewitt's continuous running-away-from-love can be irritating and the film runs too long, but otherwise this is a groovy and entertaining movie with neat ideas. Heartbreakers allows its audience to have a fun time - you just have to be willing. Recommended!

Summary: A Good Time
Review: I have to admit.. I saw Heartbreakers because of Jennifer Love Hewitt and Sigourney Weaver. They are both beautiful, and full of charm. They fit perfectly into this movie about 2 con-women.Jennifer had all the romantic points in the movie, which she carried out greatly, while Sigourney brought in some humor, with her Russian accent. Just don't expect too much, but if you're in for a fun time then definitely see this movie.

Summary: Charming and well-acted.
Review: The only qualm I have with this movie is the too much cleavage. Otherwise, this movie was a fun romp. The film follows Weaver and Hewitt from her 13th con to Palm Springs. The movie has some good morals and provides an optimistic ending while not glamourizing the idea that young women like old men...because they don't. Good movie. Sigourney Weaver and Gene Hackman are just incredibly talented people.

Summary: The Four Leads earn these Four Stars.
Review: This film is a Tossup between a Three-star and a Four-star film, but in the end, Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ray Liotta and Gene Hackman Earn a Four Star Rating as I could Easily have watched them for another hour or so. Their Performances Make the film, without them, there would hardly be a Thing worth Seeing. They All bring something Different to the film, and Characters that they don't Usually Portray. The usually In Control Hackman ("Crimson Tide" and "The Firm") and the Intimidating Tough Guy Liotta ("Goodfellas" and "Hannibal") portray men who are Hilariously Dominated from the Get-Go, while "Scream Queen" Weaver ("Aliens" and "Ghostbusters") and "Sugary Sweet" Hewitt play the Mother-and-Daughter team from Hell. The Cross-Casting is Spot on and was Integral to the films Success. The two Gals look Beautiful and the two Guys look Bewildered, Jason Lee is looks... Out of Place, he seems either Ashamed of the film or Tired due to his Growing Schedule, either way he is a Weak Link and I'm Glad his Screen Time in Minimal. Ray Liotta could have had a bit more Screen Time; he is Utterly Hysterical in Every Scene he's in. The Script and David Mirkin's Directing gives the actors Ample Opportunity to Steal the Screen from each other, and though the film may be short on Laugh-out-Loud moments, it Chock full of Chuckles and Smothered in Smiles.

Review: I was never a big Sigourney fan, but she did a fantastic job here. Her accent was convincing, Gene Hackman played the part like a natural. Jennifer Love, what can I say, she was awesome. She played the part and you couldn't help but feel her emotions through out this film. I highly recommend this movie to anyone with a heart. Jennifer Love fans will not be let down, but will want to come back for more and more. This will definitely be one to buy...matter of fact I've got to finish this up and head back to the theater and see this one more time. See you at the theater...
