Summary: The fault is with the screenplay and the direction....
Review: Jim Carrey has proved himself a great talent, but in this case, he's stifled. Ace Ventura was honestly an enjoyable character in the first movie. But this time, he gets tiresome fast.

One difficulty is that there's no reverence for animals here. The opening scene, and yes I realize it was meant to be satirical of Sylvester Stallone's CLIFFHANGER, was singularly unfunny to me, and the movie sorta kept on going downhill from there.

There is appeal to those who enjoy inane grossouts. I will say that. However, I suspect this will disappoint two thirds of the ones who liked the first Ace Ventura and of course will be of absolutely no interest to those who didn't like the first one.

Summary: The Man Is Made OF Rubber
Review: This is my second review of this film. See my first, but I noticed in another viewing that it has more little pokes and jabs at a lot of other things that are really funny. It was evening funnier the second time aaround. Jim just amazes me.

What did you think? Again, I wish there was a commentary with Jim himself on this one and on the first. (Pet Detective.)

Summary: Jim Carrey Is Made Of Rubber!
Review: Jim Carrey must be made of Rubber. I will always say this! When Nature Calls is a frolicking fun farce of never-ending gags. Jim's ability to make the impossible possible with body movements and his energy is amazing.

The story is really simple. He has to find a bat. He hates bats. He doesn't know he is looking for a bat until one-third the movie is over. The funniest scenes are somewhere he plays with a projector light, he thinks he meets Mr. Monopoly and he imitates the animals.

I wonder what the cast did with all their aching stomachs because of Jim Carrey's improvisation. Director Steve Oderkirk must really know how to handle Jim.

I thought this movie was fun. If you like Jim, you'll like this. There's not a lot of DVD extras - I wish both Steve and Jim did a commentary. That would be cool!

Summary: Terrible film on a great dvd
Review: I really like Jim Carrey's films. You either like him or hate him, and like him. He is funny. I like all of his films except this one. This is a crude, yet unfunny and boring film that has no respect for animals. This dvd is far superior to the first one, even though the film is much worse. What's interesting is that it's in full and wide-screen, while the original'son only full, and this is much more "croppable" than the original. The dvd itself has a nice, crisp transfer, and awesome surround sound. It also has production notes and trailers. For the time this was awesome. I wish that this and, especially the original contained deleted scenes. If you like the film, buy this dvd. If you haven't seen it, rent it before buying it. God Bless America!!!!!

Summary: One of his Best!
Review: I can't understand anyone thinking this is not funny.
This movie and Dumb and Dumber are his best movies by far.
When Nature Calls is much funnier than the first one.

Summary: Not as good as the first Ace flick!
Review: I thought the first Ace Ventura flick was hilarious with a lot of side splitting laughs but the second flick wasn't funny and I didn't laugh! I can't understand people getting angry because some people simply stated that they didn't like this flick, we need to face it that not everyone is going to like what we like and dislike what we dislike, life simply doesn't work that way!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A Must purchase
Review: If you have not seen this movie, you are doing a disservice to yourself. This is probably one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Jim Carrey does an excellent job and shows why he is the man when it comes to being funny. If you do not laugh then you may just be legally dead.

Summary: Not one of Jim Carrey's best movies!
Review: I'm a huge fan of Jim Carrey but I'm not a fan of this movie it just didn't do justice to his wonderful comedic talent and with Ace: Ventura Pet Detective being what I feel is one of the best comedy movies I have ever watched I just felt this sequel was a real let down and I was totally bored! The Mask, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Dumb & Dumber and The Truman Show were much better movies in my opinion and I would give them all 5 stars.

Summary: The best movie ever
Review: I don't understand these reviews. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. I am a huge Carrey fan and saw both Ace Ventura movies. I thought this one kicked butt compared to the first. I never stopped laughing and am laughing now just thinking about it.

Summary: I Just Wasn't Laughing!
Review: This was a sloopy quickly made sequale to the hit comedy (which I give a whole 5 stars). This film sigle handedly destroyed the franchise for a siries that could have been a classic series of comedys. The ending is absalutly awful and just happenes. I don't recall laughing once in the whole film. How anyone could give this piece of cineamatic crap/trash a raiting of 3 is beyond me! Heck there is no way humanly possible that I will ever like this film. The charecter of Ace himself has become horribly different, while in the first film Ace was eccentrice, but then he was likeable, in the one he a just plain jerk and is very unlikeable. Lukiley I saw this on TV so I didn't have to pay money, because if I had I don't know what I would have done!
