Rating: Summary: great comedy, martin lawrence stuff, ya know Review: Although the plot ain't too deep nor is the acting brilliant, martin lawrence's ability to entertain, along with other brilliant actors like danny devito, makes the film very pleasing. If you have seen any other of Lawrence's films, you are familiar with his form of comedy, and "whats the worst that could happen?" is no exception.
Rating: Summary: The Worst Movie That Could Happen... Review: Despite having likable comedic stars like Martin Lawrence and Danny DeVito in the cast, this movie was painful to watch. The plot was all over the place. I swear, I haven't seen a movie with such bad direction before! Being a fan of both Lawrence and DeVito, I had high hopes for this film. Thankfully, I only rented it so it wasn't an expensive disappointment. The one star is earned by the movie's supporting cast - the only positive part of the film, in my opinion. William Fichter (sp?) is a hoot as an effeminate detective and stand-up comic Larry Miller is hilarious as well. Unforunately, their performances don't make up for the fact that this flick has no idea where it's going. If you want to watch a good Martin Lawrence film, buy BAD BOYS or BIG MOMMA'S HOUSE. If you want to get a funny Danny DeVito movie, get TWINS or OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY. This movie will give you a headache. Avoid it at all costs.
Rating: Summary: Formula Martin Lawrence comedy Review: Film students, listen up: the formula for a typical Martin Lawrence film goes something like this. Find a comedy script and remove anything that smacks of cleverness and genuine humor - we don't want to upstage Lawrence's own 'natural ability' to provide laughs simply by showing up and looking cross-eyed into the camera. Add to the cast a sexy black woman/love interest who in real life wouldn't give Lawrenece himself or the character he's playing the time of day. Create lots of scenes that defy any semblance of reality and let Lawrence mug his way through with half-assed imitations of Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, and just about any other black comedian you can mention. Speaking of which, I can't imagine Bernie Mac actually found this script funny enough to make an appearance. Believe me, you won't either. Everyone's obviously in it for an easy paycheck. Do yourself a favor and don't encourage them any further.
Rating: Summary: Cheaper that valium after a rough day at the office Review: I came home after a rough day at work and watched this movie. I hadn't laughed so much since seeing "Big Mama's House". This movie wouln't win an academy award, but for making me laugh and improving my mood it's worth more than valium and an hour on a couch in a psychologist's office. The best money I spent that day.
Rating: Summary: One of the funniest I have seen Review: I enjoy movies that make me laugh and I laughed 'til I couldn't breathe.
Rating: Summary: Supporting Roles Were Better Review: I thought that both Danny DeVito and Martin Lawrence have been in better movies. I was not thrilled with the story line either, but the supporting role, played by GQ, the up and coming star, was one of the best aspects of the movie. He added some comic relief when I was on the verge of falling asleep, and his charming face made it worth staying for the rest of the movie. I cannot wait for him to be in other films. So overall, go to the movie for the smaller parts, not the main characters.
Rating: Summary: What a hoot! Review: Let me tell you folks, the worst that could happen is that you miss this hilarious movie. Martin Lawrence is one crazy guy, and that Danny DeVito is so short! Martin's a crook, and Danny is a big businessman (only he's not actually very big, get it?!) and they get into this big fight over a ring. So the question becomes 'who is the real crook?' and it might just be Mister Capitalist Danny DeVito. So you see, there's a whole anti-globalization, crypto-Marxist dialectic going on in there, which will give you something to ponder as you chew your popcorn. When you're not laughing that is! If this isn' t the best film ever made, my name's not David Manning
Rating: Summary: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, as in Ahwesome Review: Martin Lawrence is the man, just flat out awesome. The way he says ahhhhhhhhhhh and dances when he saw the cars that Max had was pure genius. And the detective Tardido was hysterical he made me cry from laughter. The movie was just to funny for words, and John L. was great too. But if anyone has a problem with my review I just have to say grow up it is year 2002, the movie is about smiles not crys so see it. Everything is funny about the movie, even the bad who is played by Danny "I am short" DeVito. Peace Out, but remember to buy Black Knight on DVD on April 16th 2002.

Rating: Summary: Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, as in Ahwesome Review: Martin Lawrence strikes gold in this brilliant comedy. This movie only proves the idea from three wise men (W, G, and J) have been saying for a month, that Martin Lawrence is probably in the top five funniest people to ever live. The way he dances and says the phrase, "ahhhhhhhh" is just to funny for words. Danny DeVito teaming up with Martin was also pure goodness. If anyone disaggrees with my review I just have to say grow up because it is year 2002, its about laughs not cries so its good. Peace Out and buy Black Night on DVD, April 16th 2002.
