Review: This movie was hiiiiiiiiillllarious! One of my all time faves! So what if you found your favorite TV angel and the man you only remembered on TV as a cute old junkman cursing excessively. Della and Red Foxx lit up every scene they appeared in! And who could ever forget that scene where Eddie Murphy's character was in a gunfight with Arsenio Hall? Come on and lighten up! Harlem Nights was a treat that deserves a lot more attention than it had recieved.

Review: first of all i'm a big fan of Richard Pryor,REdd Foxx,Eddie Murphy&Della Reese.but the script is weak and lacks structure.i expected to be at the movie house everyday and be loving this but it was ironicly not very funny except for an exchange between Red Foxx&DElla Reese.

Review: One word: DREADFUL! The dialog is woefully inaccurate for that time period. There is absolutely nothing enjoyable about this movie. It's no wonder this is the only movie Eddie Murphy ever directed, no studio in their right mind would hire him as a director again after this mess. Murphy was at the height of his popularity when this movie was made, and the arrogance showed big-time in this movie. You still need to entertain, Eddie! I would have given this zero (O) stars if I was able to.

Review: Of course it may be a little hard for someone who was born and raised with a white picket fence to understand the humor in this movie, but this movie has all the urban wit and slang to make you laugh till tears come out.

Review: My best friend and I have watched this movie at least 50 times!!! During our college years after class, we would come home, cook some fries using the coffee can grease on the stove and watch HARLEM NIGHTS!!! We laughed and laughed and laughed!!!! This movie, in my opinion, was the best one-line packed flick I have ever seen!!! Today is a special day, because I am finally getting a chance to have a copy of this tape and I am going to order Keith one also!!!

Review: Eddie Murphy and his exceptional black cast are "some smooth,sweet,_ _ " - well, you have to see it for yourself. The hailarious, rapid fire dialog flows between characters that have so much affection and connection with each other it makes it easy to forget the lack of legitimacy of their "professional" endeavors. Each member of this gorgeous, fine cast make Arsenio's peek into a romp through Harlem in the late 1920's a classical gas. My entire family quotes many lines from Harlem Nights on a daily basis. This talented cast takes the dialog to a whole new level. Fasten your seat belt and hang on to your funny bone. This is a very hailarious movie.

Review: Besides the fact you hear the F word throughout the entire film. Harlem Nights in entertaining. Great mixture of casting gives a viewer a great sense of the history of Black Comedy in America.
